Genesis 10 — Novel English Bible

1 Now this is the history of the thawaladath (generations) of the banay (my son) of Nach (Nach / Noah) and of Sham (name), Cham (Ham), and Yapath (Japheth). Banay (my son) were yalad (birth / begot) to them achar (other) the mabawal (flood).

2 The banay (my son) of Yapath (Japheth): Gamar (Gomer), Magawag (Magog), Maday (Madai), Yawan (Javan), Thawabal (Tubal), Mashak (Meshech), and Thayaras (Tiras).

3 The banay (my son) of Gamar (Gomer): Ashakanaz (Ashkenaz), Rayapath (Riphath), and Thawagaramah (Togarmah).

4 The banay (my son) of Yawan (Javan): Alayashah (Elishah), Tharashayash (Tarshish), Kathay (Kittim), and Dadanayam (Dodanim).

5 Of these were the ayay (islands) of the gawayam (heathen) parad (divided) in their aratz (Earth/land), everyone after his lashawan (tongue / language), after their mashapachah (tribe / clan / family), in their gawayam (heathen).

6 The banay (my son) of Cham (Ham): Kawash (Cush), Matzarayam (Matzarayam / Egypt), Pawat (Put), and Kanain (Canaan).

7 The banay (my son) of Kawash (Cush): Sabaa (Seba), Chawayalah (Havilah), Sabathaa (Sabtah), Raimah (Raamah), and Sabathakaa (Sabteca). The banay (my son) of Raimah (Raamah): Shabaa (Sheba) and Dadan (Dedan).

8 Kawash (Cush) became the yalad (birth / begot) of Namarawad (Nimrod). He chalal (began) to be a gabawar (mighty) one in the aratz (Earth/land).

9 He was a gabawar (mighty) tzayad (hunter) panayam (face) Yahawah (). Therefore it is amar (spoke), “Like Namarawad (Nimrod), a gabawar (mighty) tzayad (hunter) panayam (face) Yahawah ()”.

10 The raashayath (beginning) of his mamalakah (kingdom) was Babal (Babel), Arak (Erech), Akad (Accad), and Kalanah (Calneh), in the aratz (Earth/land) of Shanair (Shinar).

11 Out of that aratz (Earth/land) he yatzaa (go out / come out) into Ashawar (Assyria), and banah (build) Nayanawah (Nineveh), Rachabawath (Rehoboth)- Ir, Kalach (Calah),

12 And Rasan (Resen) between Nayanawah (Nineveh) and Kalach (Calah) (the same is the gadawal (very great/important/mighty) iyar (city)).

13 Matzarayam (Matzarayam / Egypt) became the yalad (birth / begot) of Lawaday (Ludim), inamayam (anamim), lahabayam (lehabim), Naphtuhim,

14 Patharasay (pathrusim), kasalachayam (casluhim) (which the Palashathay (Philistines) descended from), and Kapatharay (Caphtorim).

15 Kanain (Canaan) became the yalad (birth / begot) of Tzayadawan (Sidon) (his bakawar (firstborn)), Chath (Heth),

16 The Yabawasay (Jebusite), the Amaray (Amaray / Amorite), the Garagashay (Girgashite),

17 The Chaway (Hivite), the iraqay (arkite), the sayanay (sinite),

18 The arawaday (arvadite), the tzamaray (zemarite), and the chamathay (hamathite). Afterward the mashapachawath (families) of the Kanainay (Canaanite) were pawatz (spread) abroad.

19 The gabawal (border/boundary) of the Kanainay (Canaanite) was from Tzayadawan (Sidon), as you bawaa (bring) toward Garar (Gerar), to Izah (Gaza); as you bawaa (bring) toward Sadam (Sodom), Imarah (Gomorrah), Adamah (Admah), and Tzabaayam (Zeboiim), to Lashai (Lasha).

20 These are the banay (my son) of Cham (Ham), after their mashapachah (tribe / clan / family), after their lashawan (tongue / language), in their aratz (Earth/land), in their gaway (heathen / nation).

21 To Sham (name), the ab (father) of all the children of Ibar (Eber), the gadawal (very great/important/mighty) ach (brother/kinsman) of Yapath (Japheth), to him also were yalad (birth / begot) born.

22 The banay (my son) of Sham (name): Iyalam (Elam), Ashawar (Asshur), Arapakashad (Arpachshad), Lawad (Lud), and Aram (Aram).

23 The banay (my son) of Aram (Aram): Iwatz (Uz), Chawal (Hul), Gathar (Gether), and Mash (Mash).

24 Arapakashad (Arpachshad) became the yalad (birth / begot) of Shalach (Shelah). Shalach (Shelah) became the yalad (birth / begot) of Ibar (Eber).

25 To Ibar (Eber) were yalad (birth / begot) shanayam (two) banayam (sons). The sham (name) of the achad (one) was Palag (Peleg), for in his yawam (day) the aratz (Earth/land) was palag (divided). His ach (brother/kinsman) sham (name) was Yaqatan (Joktan).

26 Yaqatan (Joktan) became the yalad (birth / begot) of Alamawadad (Almodad), Shalap (Sheleph), Chatzaramawath (Hazarmaveth), Yarach (Jerah),

27 Hadawaram (Hadoram), Awazal (Uzal), Daqalah (Diklah),

28 Iwabal (Obal), Abayamaal (Abimael), Shabaa (Sheba),

29 Awapayar (Ophir), Chawayalah (Havilah), and Yawabab (Jobab). All these were the banay (my son) of Yaqatan (Joktan).

30 Their mawashab (dwelling) was from Mashaa (Mesha), as you bawaa (bring) toward Sapar (Sephar), the har (mountain) of the qadam (east).

31 These are the banay (my son) of Sham (name), after their mashapachah (tribe / clan / family), after their lashawan (tongue / language), in their aratz (Earth/land), after their gaway (heathen / nation).

32 These are the mashapachath (families) of the banay (my son) of Nach (Nach / Noah), after their thawaladah (generation), in their gawayam (heathen). Of these were the gawayam (heathen) parad (divided) in the aratz (Earth/land) achar (other) the mabawal (flood).
