1 Yatzachaq (Isaac) qaraa (called) Yaiqab (Jacob - Patriarch), barak (blessed) him, and tzawah (commanded) him, “You shall not laqach (take / seize) a ayashah (woman / wife) of the banawath (daughters) of Kanain (Canaan).
2 Qawam (rise up), yalak (go) to Padan (Paddan) Aram (), to the bayath (house) of Bathawaal (Bethuel) your am (mother) ab (father). Laqach (take / seize) a ayashah (woman / wife) from there from the banawath (daughters) of Laban (Laban), your am (mother) ach (brother/kinsman).
3 May Al Shaday () barak (blessed) you, and parah (make) you fruitful, and rabah (multiply) you, that you may be a qahal (company) of imayam (peoples),
4 And nathan (give) you the barakah (blessing) of Abaraham (Abraham), to you, and to your zarai (seed) with you, that you may yarash (inherit) the aratz (Earth/land) magawar (where) you travel, which Alahayam () nathan (give) to Abaraham (Abraham).”
5 Yatzachaq (Isaac) sent Yaiqab (Jacob) shalach (send). He yalak (went) to Padan (Paddan) Aram () to Laban (Laban), ban (son) of Bathawaal (Bethuel) the Aramay (Syrian), Rabaqah (Rebekah's) ach (brother/kinsman), Yaiqab (Jacob's) and Ishaw (Esau's) am (mother).
6 Now Ishaw (Esau) raah (see) that Yatzachaq (Isaac) had barak (blessed) Yaiqab (Jacob) and shalach (send) him away to Padan (Paddan) Aram (), to laqach (take / seize) him a ayashah (woman / wife) from there, and that as he barak (blessed) him he gave him a tzawah (command), amar (spoke), “You shall not laqach (take / seize) a ayashah (woman / wife) of the banawath (daughters) of Kanain (Canaan),”
7 And that Yaiqab (Jacob) shamai (hearken / hear) his ab (father) and his am (mother), and was yalak (gone) to Padan (Paddan) Padan (Aram).
8 Ishaw (Esau) raah (see / saw) that the banawath (daughters) of Kanain (Canaan) didn't iyan (eye) Yatzachaq (Isaac), his ab (father).
9 Ishaw (Esau) yalak (went) to Yashamaial (Ishmael), and laqach (take / seize), besides the wives that he had, Machalath (Mahalath) the banath (daughter) of Yashamaial (Ishmael), Abaraham (Abraham - Patriarch) ban (son), the achawath (sister) of Nabayawath (Nebaioth), to be his ayashah (woman / wife).
10 Yaiqab (Jacob) yalak (went) out from Baar-Shabai (Beersheba), and yalak (went) toward Charan (Haran).
11 He pagai (came) to a certain maqawam (place), and stayed there all lawan (night), because the shamash (sun) bawaa (bring) set. He laqach (take / seize) one of the abanay (stones) of the maqawam (place), and shawam (place / establish / appoint) it under his maraashah (head), and shakab (lay) down in that maqawam (place) to sleep.
12 He chalam (dream). Behold, a stairway natzab (set) upon the aratz (Earth/land), and its top nagai (reached) to shamayam (Shamayam / Heavens). Behold, the malaakay (angels) of Alahayam () ilah (go up / offer) and descending on it.
13 Behold, Yahawah () natzab (stood) above it, and amar (spoke), “I am Yahawah (), the Alahayam () of Abaraham (Abraham) your ab (father), and the Alahayam () of Yatzachaq (Isaac). The aratz (Earth/land) whereon you shakab (lie), to you will I nathan (give) it, and to your zarai (seed).
14 Your zarai (seed) will be as the ipar (dust) of the aratz (Earth/land), and you will spread paratz (abroad) to the yam (sea/waters), and to the qadam (east), and to the tzapawan (north), and to the nagab (south). In you and in your zarai (seed) will all the mashapachath (families) of the adamah (earth) be barak (blessed).
15 Behold, I am with you, and will shamar (keep/guard) you, wherever you yalak (go), and will shawab (turn) you again into this adamah (land). For I will not izab (leave) you, ashar (who/that) I ishah (make) done that which I have dabar (word / matter) of to you.”
16 Yaiqab (Jacob) awakened out of his shanah (sleep), and he amar (spoke), “akan (surely) Yahawah () is in this maqawam (place), and I didn't yadai (know) it.”
17 He was yaraa (fear / be afraid), and amar (spoke), “How yaraa (fear / be afraid) is this maqawam (place)! This is none other than Alahayam () bayath (house), and this is the shair (gate) of shamayam (Shamayam / Heavens).”
18 Yaiqab (Jacob - Patriarch) shakam (rose) up early in the baqar (morning), and laqach (take / seize) the aban (stone) that he had shawam (place / establish / appoint) under his maraashah (head), and shawam (place / establish / appoint) it up for a matzabah (pillar), and yatzaq (poured) shaman (oil) on its raash (head).
19 He qaraa (called) the sham (name) of that maqawam (place) Bayath-Al (Bethel), but the sham (name) of the iyar (city) was Lawaz (Luz) at the raashawan (first).
20 Yaiqab (Jacob) nadar (make vow) a nadar (vow), amar (spoke), “If Alahayam () will be with me, and will shamar (keep/guard) me in this darak (way) that I halak (move), and will nathan (give) me lacham (bread) to akal (eat), and labash (clothing) to put on,
21 So that I shawab (turn back / repent) again to my ab (father) bayath (house) in shalawam (peace / safety), and Yahawah () will be my Alahayam (),
22 Then this aban (stone), which I have shawam (place / establish / appoint) up for a matzabah (pillar), will be Alahayam () bayath (house). Of all that you will nathan (give) me I will ishar (surely) give the ishar (tenth) to you.”
