Now there was arak (long) malachamah (war) between the bayath (house) of Shaawal (Sheol / afterlife) and the bayath (house) of Dawad (David): and Dawad (David) halak (move) chazaq (stronger) and chazaq (stronger), but the bayath (house) of Shaawal (Sheol / afterlife) halak (move) dal (weaker) and dal (weaker).
To Dawad (David) were banayam (sons) yalad (birth / begot) in Chabarawan (Hebron): and his bakawar (firstborn) was Amanawan (Amnon), of Achayanaim (Ahinoam) the yazaraialayath (jezreelitess);
And his mashanah (second), Kalaab (Chileab), of Abayagayal (Abigail) the ayashah (woman / wife) of Nabal (Nabal) the karamalay (carmelite); and the shalayashay (third), Abayashalawam (Absalom) the ban (son) of Maikah (Maacah) the banath (daughter) of Thalamay (Talmai) malak (king) of Gashawar (Geshur);
And the rabayaiy (fourth), Adanayah (Adanayah / Adonijah) the ban (son) of Chagayath (Haggith); and the chamayashay (fifth), Shapatayah (Shephatiah) the ban (son) of Abayatal (Abital);
And the shashay (sixth), Yatharaim (Ithream), of Igalah (Eglah), Dawad (David's) ayashah (woman / wife). These were yalad (birth / begot) to Dawad (David) in Chabarawan (Hebron).
It happened, while there was malachamah (war) between the bayath (house) of Shaawal (Sheol / afterlife) and the bayath (house) of Dawad (David), that Abanar (Abner) chazaq (made) himself strong in the bayath (house) of Shaawal (Sheol / afterlife).
Now Shaawal (Saul) had a payalagash (concubine), whose sham (name) was Ratzapah (Rizpah), the banath (daughter) of Ayah (Aiah): and Bashath (Ishbosheth) amar (spoke) to Abanar (Abner), “Why bawaa (come) you gone in to my ab (father) payalagash (concubine)?”
Then was Abanar (Abner) very charah (hot with anger) for the dabaray (words) of Ayashabashath (Ishbosheth), and amar (said), “Am I a kalab (dog's) raash (head) that belongs to Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah)? Today I show chasad (grace) to the bayath (house) of Shaawal (Sheol / afterlife) your ab (father), to his ach (brother/kinsman), and to his marai (friends), and matzaa (have) not delivered you into the yad (hand) of Dawad (David); and yet you paqad (visit) me this yawam (day) with a iwan (guilt/iniquity) concerning this ayashah (woman / wife)!
Alahayam () ishah (make) so to Abanar (Abner), and more also, if, as Yahawah () has shabai (swear / take oath) to Dawad (David), I don't ishah (make) even so to him;
To transfer the mamalakah (kingdom) from the bayath (house) of Shaawal (Sheol / afterlife), and to qawam (rise up) up the kasaa (throne) of Dawad (David) over Yashar-Al (Israel) and over Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah), from Dan (Dan) even to Baar-Shabai (Beersheba).”
He yakal (could) not shawab (turn) Abanar (Abner) another dabar (word / matter), because he yaraa (fear / be afraid) him.
Abanar (Abner) shalach (send) malaakayam (messengers) to Dawad (David) on his behalf, amar (said), “Whose is the aratz (Earth/land)?” And amar (said), “karath (cut) your alliance with me, and behold, my yad (hand) shall be with you, to bring all Yashar-Al (Israel) around to you.”
He amar (said), “tawab (good / proper function); I will karath (cut) a treaty with you; but achad (one) thing I shaal (require) of you. That is, you shall not raah (see / saw) my panayam (face), unless you panayam (face) bawaa (bring) Mayakal (Michal), Shaawal (Sheol / afterlife) banath (daughter), when you bawaa (bring) to raah (see / saw) my panayam (face).”
Dawad (David) shalach (send) malaakayam (messengers) to Ayashabashath (Ishbosheth), Shaawal (Sheol / afterlife) ban (son), amar (said), “nathan (give) me my ayashah (woman / wife) Mayakal (Michal), whom I pledged to be married to me for one maah (hundred) iralawath (foreskins) of the Palashathay (Philistines).”
Ayashabashath (Ishbosheth) shalach (send), and laqach (take / seize) her from her ayash (man / husband), even from Palatayaal (Paltiel) the ban (son) of Lawash (Laish).
Her ayash (man / husband) yalak (went) with her, weeping as he yalak (went), and achar (other) her to Bacharayam (Bahurim). Then Abanar (Abner) amar (said) to him, “yalak (go)! Shawab (turn)!” And he shawab (turn).
Abanar (Abner) hayah (came to pass) communication with the zaqanay (elders) of Yashar-Al (Israel), amar (said), “In thamawal (times) shalashawam (past), you baqash (sought) for Dawad (David) to be malak (king) over you.
Now then ishah (make) it; for Yahawah () has amar (spoke) of Dawad (David), amar (spoke), ‘By the yad (hand) of my ibad (servant) Dawad (David), I will yashai (salvation) my im (nation / people) Yashar-Al (Israel) out of the yad (hand) of the Palashathay (Philistines), and out of the yad (hand) of all their ayab (enemy).’”
Abanar (Abner) also dabar (word / matter) in the azanay (ears) of Banayamayan (Benjamin): and Abanar (Abner) yalak (went) also to dabar (word / matter) in the azanay (ears) of Dawad (David) in Chabarawan (Hebron) all that seemed tawab (good / proper function) to Yashar-Al (Israel), and to the whole bayath (house) of Banayamayan (Benjamin).
So Abanar (Abner) bawaa (bring) to Dawad (David) to Chabarawan (Hebron), and isharayam (twenty) anashayam (men) with him. Dawad (David) ishah (make) Abanar (Abner) and the anashayam (men) who were with him a mashathah (feast).
Abanar (Abner) amar (spoke) to Dawad (David), “I will qawam (rise up) and yalak (go), and will qabatz (gather) all Yashar-Al (Israel) to my Adawan () the malak (king), that they may karath (cut) a barayath (covenant) with you, and that you may malak (king) over all that your napash (soul) awah (desires).” Dawad (David) shalach (send) Abanar (Abner) shalach (send); and he yalak (went) in shalawam (peace / safety).
Behold, the ibaday (servant of) of Dawad (David) and Yawaab (Yawaab / Joab) bawaa (bring) from a foray, and bawaa (bring) in a rab (great) shalal (spoil) with them: but Abanar (Abner) was not with Dawad (David) in Chabarawan (Hebron); for he had shalach (send) him away, and he was yalak (gone) in shalawam (peace / safety).
When Yawaab (Yawaab / Joab) and all the tzabaa (troop) who was with him bawaa (bring) come, they nagad (told) Yawaab (Yawaab / Joab), amar (said), “Abanar (Abner) the ban (son) of Nar (Ner) bawaa (bring) to the malak (king), and he has shalach (send) him away, and he is yalak (gone) in shalawam (peace / safety).”
Then Yawaab (Yawaab / Joab) bawaa (bring) to the malak (king), and amar (said), “What ishah (make) you done? Behold, Abanar (Abner) bawaa (bring) to you. Why is it that you have shalach (send) him away, and he is halak (move) yalak (gone)?
You yadai (know) Abanar (Abner) the ban (son) of Nar (Ner), that he bawaa (bring) to pathah (deceive) you, and to yadai (know) your mawatzaa (going) out and your mawabaa (coming) in, and to yadai (know) all that you ishah (make).”
When Yawaab (Yawaab / Joab) yatzaa (go out / come out) come out from Dawad (David), he shalach (send) malaakayam (messengers) achar (other) Abanar (Abner), and they shawab (turn) him back from the bawar (well) of Sarah (Sirah); but Dawad (David) didn't yadai (know) it.
When Abanar (Abner) was shawab (turn) to Chabarawan (Hebron), Yawaab (Yawaab / Joab) natah (took) him aside into the midst of the shair (gate) to dabar (word / matter) with him shalay (quietly), and nakah (struck) him there in the body, so that he mawath (death), for the dam (blood) of Ishahaal (Asahel) his ach (brother/kinsman).
Afterward, when Dawad (David) shamai (hearken / hear) it, he amar (spoke), “I and my mamalakah (kingdom) are naqay (guiltless) before Yahawah () iwalam (forever) of the dam (blood) of Abanar (Abner) the ban (son) of Nar (Ner).
Let it chawal (fall) on the raash (head) of Yawaab (Yawaab / Joab), and on all his ab (father) bayath (house). Let there not karath (cut) from the bayath (house) of Yawaab (Yawaab / Joab) one who zawab (flow) an issue, or who is a tzarai (leper), or who chazaq (leans) on a palak (staff), or who napal (fall / be cast down) by the charab (sword), or who chasar (lacks) lacham (bread).”
So Yawaab (Yawaab / Joab) and Abayashay (Abishai) his ach (brother/kinsman) harag (kill) Abanar (Abner), because he had harag (kill) their ach (brother/kinsman) Ishahaal (Asahel) at Gabaiwan (Gibeon) in the malachamah (battle).
Dawad (David) amar (said) to Yawaab (Yawaab / Joab), and to all the im (nation / people) who were with him, “qarai (tear) your clothes, and clothe yourselves with sackcloth, and sapad (mourn) panayam (face) Abanar (Abner). Malak (king) Dawad (David).” halak (move) the matah (bier).
They qabar (grave / tomb / sepulcher) Abanar (Abner) in Chabarawan (Hebron): and the malak (king) nashaa (lift) up his qawal (sound / voice), and bakah (wept) at the qabar (grave / tomb / sepulcher) of Abanar (Abner); and all the im (nation / people) bakah (wept).
The malak (king) qawan (lamented) for Abanar (Abner), and amar (said), “Should Abanar (Abner) mawath (death) as a nabal (fool) mawath (death)?
Your yad (hand) were not asar (bound), nor your ragal (feet / foot) nagash (put) into nachashathayam (fetters). As a man napal (fall / be cast down) panayam (face) the banay (my son) of iwal (iniquity), so you napal (fall / be cast down).” All the im (nation / people) bakah (wept) again over him.
Kal (every) the im (nation / people) bawaa (come) to cause Dawad (David) to barah (eat) lacham (bread) while it was yet yawam (day); but Dawad (David) shabai (swear / take oath), amar (spoke), “Alahayam () ishah (make) so to me, and more also, if I taim (taste) lacham (bread), or anything else, until the shamash (sun) bawaa (come) down.”
All the im (nation / people) nakar (took) notice of it, and it yatab (pleased) them; as whatever the malak (king) ishah (make) yatab (pleased) all the im (nation / people).
So all the im (nation / people) and all Yashar-Al (Israel) yadai (understood) that yawam (day) that it was not of the malak (king) to mawath (death) Abanar (Abner) the ban (son) of Nar (Ner).
The malak (king) amar (said) to his ibad (servant), “Don't you yadai (know) that there a shar (prince / ruler) and a great gadawal (very great/important/mighty) napal (fall / be cast down) fallen this yawam (day) in Yashar-Al (Israel)?
I am this yawam (day) rak (weak), though mashach (anointed) malak (king); and these anashayam (men) the banay (sons) of Tzarawayah (Zeruiah) are too qashah (rough / hard) for me. May Yahawah () shalam (reward) the evildoer according to his ishah (make).”
