Kings 11 — Novel English Bible

Now malak (king) Shalamah (Solomon - Patriarch) ahab (love) many foreign nashayam (women), together with the banath (daughter) of Paraih (Pharaoh), women of the Mawaabay (Moabites), Imawanay (Ammonites), Adawamay (Edomites), Tzayadanay (Sidonians), and Chathay (Hittites);

Of the gawayam (nations) concerning which Yahawah () amar (spoke) to the banay (children) of Yashar-Al (Israel), “You shall not bawaa (come) among them, neither shall they bawaa (come) among you; for akan (surely) they will natah (turn) away your labab (heart) achar (other) their Alahayam ().” Shalamah (Solomon) dabaq (joined) to these in ahabah (love).

He had shabai (seven) maah (hundred) wives, princesses, and shalawash (three) maah (hundred) palagashayam (concubines); and his wives natah (turned) away his lab (heart).

For it happened, when Shalamah (Solomon) was zaqanah (old), that his wives natah (turned) away his labab (heart) achar (other) other Alahayam (); and his labab (heart) was not shalam (full / whole / complete) with Yahawah () his Alahayam (), as was the labab (heart) of Dawad (David) his ab (father).

For Shalamah (Solomon - Patriarch) yalak (went) achar (other) Ishatharath (Ashtoreth) the goddess of the Tzayadanay (Sidonians), and achar (other) Malakam (Milcom) the shaqawatz (abomination) of the Imawanay (Ammonites).

Shalamah (Solomon) ishah (make) that which was rai (evil) in the iyan (eye) of Yahawah (), and didn't malaa (go) fully achar (other) Yahawah (), as did Dawad (David) his ab (father).

Then Shalamah (Solomon - Patriarch) banah (build) a bamah (high) place for Kamawash (Chemosh) the shaqawatz (abomination) of Mawaab (Moab), on the har (mountain) that is panayam (face) Yarawashalam (Yarawashalam / Jerusalem), and for Malak (king) the shaqawatz (abomination) of the banay (my son) of Imawan (Ammon).

So he ishah (make) for all his foreign wives, who burnt qatar (incense) and zabach (sacrificed) to their Alahayam ().

Yahawah () was anap (angry) with Shalamah (Solomon), because his labab (heart) was natah (turned) away from Yahawah (), the Alahayam () of Yashar-Al (Israel), who had raah (see) to him paim (twice),

And had tzawah (commanded) him dabar (word / matter) this thing, that he should not yalak (go) achar (other) other Alahayam (): but he didn't shamar (keep/guard) that which Yahawah () tzawah (commanded).

Therefore Yahawah () amar (spoke) to Shalamah (Solomon), “Because this is done by you, and you have not shamar (keep/guard) my barayath (covenant) and my chaqah (statutes), which I have tzawah (commanded) you, I will qarai (surely) qarai (tear) the mamalakah (kingdom) from you, and will nathan (give) it to your ibad (servant).

Notwithstanding I will not ishah (make) it in your yawam (day), for Dawad (David) your ab (father) sake; but I will qarai (tear) it out of the yad (hand) of your ban (son).

However I will not qarai (tear) away all the mamalakah (kingdom); but I will nathan (give) achad (one) shabat (tribe) to your ban (son), for Dawad (David) my ibad (servant) sake, and for Yarawashalam (Yarawashalam / Jerusalem) sake which I have bachar (chosen).”

Yahawah () qawam (rise up) up an shatan (adversary) to Shalamah (Solomon), Hadad (Hadad) the Adawamay (Edomite): he was of the malak (king) zarai (seed) in Adawam (Edom).

For it happened, when Dawad (David) was in Adawam (Edom), and Yawaab (Yawaab / Joab) the shar (prince / ruler) of the tzabaa (troop) was ilah (go up / offer) up to qabar (grave / tomb / sepulcher) the chalal (slain), and had struck every zakar (remember) in Adawam (Edom)

(For Yawaab (Yawaab / Joab) and all Yashar-Al (Israel) yashab (inhabit/dwell) there shash (six) chadashayam (months), until he had karath (cut) off every zakar (remember) in Adawam (Edom));

That Adad (Hadad) barach (fled), he and ayash (man / husband) Adawamay (Edomites) of his ab (father) ibaday (servant of) with him, to bawaa (bring) into Matzarayam (Matzarayam / Egypt), Hadad (Hadad) being yet a qatan (small / young / least) nair (child).

They qawam (rise up) out of Madayan (Midian), and bawaa (bring) to Paaran (Paran); and they laqach (take / seize) anashayam (men) with them out of Paaran (Paran), and they bawaa (bring) to Matzarayam (Matzarayam / Egypt), to Paraih (Pharaoh) malak (king) of Matzarayam (Matzarayam / Egypt), who nathan (give) him a bayath (house), and amar (said) him lacham (food), and nathan (give) him aratz (Earth/land).

Hadad (Hadad) matzaa (found) maad (great) favor in the iyan (eye) of Paraih (Pharaoh), so that he nathan (give) him as ayashah (woman / wife) the achawath (sister) of his own ayashah (woman / wife), the achawath (sister) of Thachapanayas (Tahpenes) the gabayarah (queen).

The achawath (sister) of Thachapanayas (Tahpenes) yalad (birth / begot) him Ganabath (Genubath) his ban (son), whom Thachapanayas (Tahpenes) weaned in Paraih (Pharaoh's) bayath (house); and Ganabath (Genubath) was in Paraih (Pharaoh's) bayath (house) thawak (midst) the banay (my son) of Paraih (Pharaoh).

When Hadad (Hadad) shamai (hearken / hear) in Matzarayam (Matzarayam / Egypt) that Dawad (David) shakab (slept) with his ab (father), and that Yawaab (Yawaab / Joab) the shar (prince / ruler) of the tzabaa (troop) was mawath (death), Hadad (Hadad) amar (said) to Paraih (Pharaoh), “shalach (send) me depart, that I may yalak (go) to my own aratz (Earth/land).”

Then Paraih (Pharaoh) amar (said) to him, “But what chasar (have) you lacked with me, that behold, you baqash (seek) to yalak (go) to your own aratz (Earth/land)?” He amar (said), “Nothing, however only shalach (send) me depart.”

Alahayam () qawam (rise up) up an shatan (adversary) to him, Razawan (Rezon) the ban (son) of Alayadai (Eliada), who had barach (fled) from his Adawan () Hadadaizar (Hadadezer) malak (king) of Tzawabaa (Zobah).

He qabatz (gathered) anashayam (men) to him, and became shar (prince / ruler) over a gadawad (troop), when Dawad (David) harag (kill) them of Tzawabaa (Zobah): and they yalak (went) to Damashaq (Damascus), and lived therein, and malak (king) in Damashaq (Damascus).

He was an shatan (adversary) to Yashar-Al (Israel) all the yamay (days) of Shalamah (Solomon - Patriarch), besides the rai (mischief) of Hadad (Hadad): and he qawatz (abhorred) Yashar-Al (Israel), and malak (king) over Aram (Syria).

Yarabaim (Jeroboam) the ban (son) of Nabat (Nebat), an Aparathay (Ephraimite) of Tzaradah (Zeredah), a ibad (servant) of Shalamah (Solomon - Patriarch), whose am (mother) sham (name) was Tzarawaih (Zeruah), a alamanah (widow), he also rawam (will lift up) up his yad (hand) against the malak (king).

This was the dabar (word / matter) why he rawam (will lift up) up his yad (hand) against the malak (king): Shalamah (Solomon - Patriarch) banah (build) Malawaa (Millo), and sagar (repaired) the breach of the iyar (city) of Dawad (David) his ab (father).

The ayash (man / husband) Yarabaim (Jeroboam) was a ayash (man / husband) man of valor; and Shalamah (Solomon - Patriarch) raah (see / saw) the nair (young) man that he was ishah (make), and he put him in paqad (visit) of all the sabal (labor) of the bayath (house) of Yawasap (Joseph).

It happened at that ith (time), when Yarabaim (Jeroboam) yatzaa (go out / come out) out of Yarawashalam (Jerusalem), that the nabayaa (prophet/prophecy) Achayah (Ahijah) the Shayalawanay (Shilonite) matzaa (found) him in the darak (way); now Achayah (Ahijah) had kasah (clad) himself with a chadash (new) shalamah (dress / garment); and they shanayam (two) were alone in the shadah (field).

Achayah (Ahijah) thapash (laid) hold of the chadash (new) shalamah (Solomon - Patriarch) that was on him, and qarai (tore) it in shanayam (two) qaraiyam (pieces).

He amar (spoke) to Yarabaim (Jeroboam), “laqach (take / seize) ishar (ten) qaraiyam (pieces); for thus amar (spoke) Yahawah (), the Alahayam () of Yashar-Al (Israel), ‘Behold, I will qarai (tear) the mamalakah (kingdom) out of the yad (hand) of Shalamah (Solomon), and will nathan (give) ishar (ten) shabatayam (tribes) to you

(But he shall have achad (one) shabat (tribe), for my ibad (servant) Dawad (David's) sake and for Yarawashalam (Yarawashalam / Jerusalem) sake, the iyar (city) which I have bachar (chosen) out of all the shabatay (tribes) of Yashar-Al (Israel));

Because that they have forsaken me, and have shachah (worshiped) Ishatharath (Ashtoreth) the goddess of the Tzayadanay (Sidonians), Kamawash (Chemosh) the Alahayam () of Mawaab (Moab), and Malakam (Milcom) the Alahayam () of the banay (children) of Imawan (Ammon). They have not halak (move) in my darak (ways), to ishah (make) that which is yashar (upright) in my iyan (eye), and to keep my chaqah (statutes) and my mashapat (ordinances), as Dawad (David) his ab (father) did.

“‘However I will not laqach (take / seize) the whole mamalakah (kingdom) out of his yad (hand); but I will shayath (put / appoint / make) him nashayaa (prince) all the yamay (days) of his chay (life), for Dawad (David) my ibad (servant) sake whom I bachar (chose), who shamar (keep/guard) my matzawah (commandments) and my chaqah (statutes);

But I will laqach (take / seize) the malawakah (kingdom) out of his ban (son) yad (hand), and will nathan (give) it to you, even ishar (ten) shabatayam (tribes).

To his ban (son) will I nathan (give) achad (one) shabat (tribe), that Dawad (David) my ibad (servant) may have a nayar (lamp) yamayam (always) panayam (face) me in Yarawashalam (Yarawashalam / Jerusalem), the iyar (city) which I have bachar (chosen) me to shawam (place / establish / appoint) my sham (name) there.

I will laqach (take / seize) you, and you shall malak (king) according to all that your napash (soul) awah (desires), and shall be malak (king) over Yashar-Al (Israel).

It shall be, if you will shamai (hearken / hear) to all that I tzawah (command) you, and will halak (move) in my darak (ways), and ishah (make) that which is yashar (upright) in my iyan (eye), to shamar (keep/guard) my chaqah (statutes) and my matzawah (commandments), as Dawad (David) my ibad (servant) ishah (make); that I will be with you, and will banah (build) you a aman (believe / have faith) bayath (house), as I banah (build) for Dawad (David), and will nathan (give) Yashar-Al (Israel) to you.

I will for this inah (answer / respond) the zarai (seed) of Dawad (David), but not yawam (day).’”

Shalamah (Solomon - Patriarch) baqash (sought) therefore to mawath (death) Yarabaim (Jeroboam); but Yarabaim (Jeroboam) qawam (rise up), and barach (fled) into Matzarayam (Matzarayam / Egypt), to Shayashaq (Shishak) malak (king) of Matzarayam (Matzarayam / Egypt), and was in Matzarayam (Matzarayam / Egypt) until the mawath (death) of Shalamah (Solomon - Patriarch).

Now the yathar (rest) of the dabaray (acts) of Shalamah (Solomon - Patriarch), and all that he ishah (make), and his chakamah (wisdom), aren't they kathab (write) in the sapar (book / scribed document) of the dabaray (acts) of Shalamah (Solomon - Patriarch)?

The yawam (day) that Shalamah (Solomon - Patriarch) malak (king) in Yarawashalam (Yarawashalam / Jerusalem) over all Yashar-Al (Israel) was arabaiyam (forty) shanah (years).

Shalamah (Solomon - Patriarch) shakab (slept) with his ab (father), and was qabar (grave / tomb / sepulcher) in the iyar (city) of Dawad (David) his ab (father): and Rachabaim (Rehoboam) his ban (son) malak (king) in his place.
