Kings 15 — Novel English Bible

Now in the eighteenth shanah (year) of malak (king) Yarabaim (Jeroboam) the ban (son) of Nabat (Nebat) began Abayam (Abijam) to malak (king) over Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah).

He malak (king) shalawash (three) shanayam (two) in Yarawashalam (Yarawashalam / Jerusalem): and his am (mother) sham (name) was Maikah (Maacah) the banath (daughter) of Abayashalawam (Abishalom).

He yalak (walked) in all the chataawath (sins) of his ab (father), which he ishah (make) done panayam (face) him; and his labab (heart) was not shalam (full / whole / complete) with Yahawah () his Alahayam (), as the labab (heart) of Dawad (David) his ab (father).

Nevertheless for Dawad (David's) sake, Yahawah () his Alahayam () nathan (give) him a nayar (lamp) in Yarawashalam (Jerusalem), to qawam (rise up) up his ban (son) achar (other) him, and to imad (establish) Yarawashalam (Jerusalem);

Because Dawad (David) ishah (make) that which was yashar (upright) in the iyanay (eyes) of Yahawah (), and didn't sawar (turn) aside from anything that he tzawah (commanded) him all the yamay (days) of his chay (life), except only in the dabar (word / matter) of Awarayah (Uriah) the Chathay (Hittite).

Now there was malachamah (war) between Rachabaim (Rehoboam) and Yarabaim (Jeroboam) all the yamay (days) of his chay (life).

The yathar (rest) of the dabaray (acts) of Abayam (Abijam), and all that he ishah (make), aren't they kathab (write) in the sapar (book / scribed document) of the dabaray (chronicles) of the malakay (kings) of Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah)? There was malachamah (war) between Abayam (Abijam) and Yarabaim (Jeroboam).

Abayam (Abijam) shakab (slept) with his ab (father); and they qabar (grave / tomb / sepulcher) him in the iyar (city) of Dawad (David): and Asaa (Asa) his ban (son) malak (king) in his place.

In the isharayam (twenty) shanah (year) of Yarabaim (Jeroboam) malak (king) of Yashar-Al (Israel) began Asaa (Asa) to malak (king) over Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah).

He malak (king) arabaiyam (forty) - achad (one) shanah (years) in Yarawashalam (Yarawashalam / Jerusalem): and his am (mother) sham (name) was Maikah (Maacah) the banath (daughter) of Abayashalawam (Abishalom).

Asaa (Asa) ishah (make) that which was yashar (upright) in the iyanay (eyes) of Yahawah (), as did Dawad (David) his ab (father).

He ibar (pass over/through) away the qadashayam (sodomites) out of the aratz (Earth/land), and sawar (removed) all the galalayam (idols) that his ab (father) ishah (make) made.

Also Maikah (Maacah) his am (mother) he sawar (removed) from being gabayarah (queen), because she ishah (make) made an abominable mapalatzath (image) for an Asharah (Asherah); and Asaa (Asa) karath (cut) down her mapalatzath (image), and burnt it at the nachal (stream / river) Qadarawan (Kidron).

But the bamah (high) places were not sawar (taken) away: nevertheless the labab (heart) of Asaa (Asa) was shalam (full / whole / complete) with Yahawah () all his yawam (day).

He bawaa (come) into the bayath (house) of Yahawah () the things that his ab (father) had qadash (set apart / make holy), and the things that himself had qadash (set apart / make holy), kasap (silver), and zahab (gold), and kalayam (vessels).

There was malachamah (war) between Asaa (Asa) and Baishaa (Baasha) malak (king) of Yashar-Al (Israel) all their yawam (day).

Baishaa (Baasha) malak (king) of Yashar-Al (Israel) ilah (go up / offer) up against Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah), and banah (build) Ramah (Ramah), that he might not allow anyone to yatzaa (go out / come out) out or bawaa (bring) in to Asaa (Asa) malak (king) of Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah).

Then Asaa (Asa) laqach (take / seize) all the kasap (silver) and the zahab (gold) that were yathar (left) in the awatzarawath (treasures) of the bayath (house) of Yahawah (), and the awatzarawath (treasures) of the malak (king) bayath (house), and nathan (give) them into the yad (hand) of his ibad (servant); and malak (king) Asaa (Asa) shalach (send) them to Banahadad (Ben Hadad), the ban (son) of Tabaramawan (Tabrimmon), the ban (son) of Chazayawan (Hezion), malak (king) of Aram (Syria), who lived at Damashaq (Damascus), amar (spoke),

“There is a treaty between me and you, between my ab (father) and your ab (father). Behold, I have shalach (send) to you a shachad (present) of kasap (silver) and zahab (gold). Yalak (go), parar (break) your treaty with Baishaa (Baasha) malak (king) of Yashar-Al (Israel), that he may depart from me.”

Banahadad (Ben Hadad) shamai (hearken / hear) to malak (king) Asaa (Asa), and shalach (send) the sharay (captains) of his chayalayam (armies) against the iray (cities) of Yashar-Al (Israel), and nakah (struck) Iyawan (Ijon), and Dan (Dan), and Abalabayathamaikah (Abel Beth Maacah), and all Kanarawath (Chinneroth), with all the aratz (Earth/land) of Napathalay (Naphtali).

It happened, when Baishaa (Baasha) shamai (hearken / hear) of it, that he chadal (left) off banah (build) Ramah (Ramah), and lived in Tharatzah (Tirzah).

Then malak (king) Asaa (Asa) shamai (hearken / hear) a proclamation to all Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah); none was naqay (exempted): and they nashaa (lift) away the abanay (stones) of Ramah (Ramah), and its itz (timber), with which Baishaa (Baasha) had banah (build); and malak (king) Asaa (Asa) banah (build) therewith Gabai (Geba) of Banayamayan (Benjamin), and Matzapah (Mizpah).

Now the yathar (rest) of all the dabaray (acts) of Asaa (Asa), and all his gabawarah (might), and all that he ishah (make), and the irayam (cities) which he banah (build), aren't they kathab (write) in the sapar (book / scribed document) of the dabaray (chronicles) of the malakay (kings) of Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah)? But in the ith (time) of his zaqanah (old) age he was chalah (afflict) in his ragal (feet / foot).

Asaa (Asa) shakab (slept) with his ab (father), and was qabar (grave / tomb / sepulcher) with his ab (father) in the iyar (city) of Dawad (David) his ab (father); and Yahawashapat (Jehoshaphat) his ban (son) malak (king) in his place.

Nadab (Nadab) the ban (son) of Yarabaim (Jeroboam) began to malak (king) over Yashar-Al (Israel) in the shanayam (two) shanah (year) of Asaa (Asa) malak (king) of Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah); and he malak (king) over Yashar-Al (Israel) shanayam (two) shanathayam (years).

He ishah (make) that which was rai (evil) in the iyan (eye) of Yahawah (), and yalak (walked) in the darak (way) of his ab (father), and in his chataah (sin) with which he made Yashar-Al (Israel) to chataa (sin).

Baishaa (Baasha) the ban (son) of Achayah (Ahijah), of the bayath (house) of Yashashakar (Issachar), qashar (conspired) against him; and Baishaa (Baasha) nakah (struck) him at Gabathawan (Gibbethon), which belonged to the Palashathay (Philistines); for Nadab (Nadab) and all Yashar-Al (Israel) were tzawar (laying) siege to Gabathawan (Gibbethon).

Even in the shalawash (three) shanah (year) of Asaa (Asa) malak (king) of Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah), Baishaa (Baasha) mawath (death) him, and malak (king) in his place.

It happened that, as soon as he was malak (king), he nakah (struck) all the bayath (house) of Yarabaim (Jeroboam): he didn't shaar (leave) to Yarabaim (Jeroboam) any who nashamah (breathing thing), until he had destroyed him; according to the dabar (word / matter) of Yahawah (), which he dabar (word / matter) by his ibad (servant) Achayah (Ahijah) the Shayalawanay (Shilonite);

For the chataawath (sins) of Yarabaim (Jeroboam) which he chataa (sinned), and with which he made Yashar-Al (Israel) to chataa (sin), because of his kais (provocation) with which he provoked Yahawah (), the Alahayam () of Yashar-Al (Israel), to kais (anger).

Now the yathar (rest) of the dabaray (acts) of Nadab (Nadab), and all that he ishah (make), aren't they kathab (write) in the sapar (book / scribed document) of the dabaray (chronicles) of the malakay (kings) of Yashar-Al (Israel)?

There was malachamah (war) between Asaa (Asa) and Baishaa (Baasha) malak (king) of Yashar-Al (Israel) all their yawam (day).

In the shalawash (three) shanah (year) of Asaa (Asa) malak (king) of Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah), Baishaa (Baasha) the ban (son) of Achayah (Ahijah) began to malak (king) over all Yashar-Al (Israel) in Tharatzah (Tirzah) for isharayam (twenty) - arabai (four) shanah (years).

He ishah (make) that which was rai (evil) in the iyan (eye) of Yahawah (), and yalak (walked) in the darak (way) of Yarabaim (Jeroboam), and in his chataah (sin) with which he made Yashar-Al (Israel) to chataa (sin).
