They yashab (inhabit/dwell) shalawash (three) shanayam (two) without malachamah (war) between Aram (Syria) and Yashar-Al (Israel).
It happened in the shalayashay (third) shanah (year), that Yahawashapat (Jehoshaphat) the malak (king) of Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah) yarad (came) down to the malak (king) of Yashar-Al (Israel).
The malak (king) of Yashar-Al (Israel) amar (said) to his ibad (servant), “You yadai (know) that Ramath-Galaid (Ramoth) Galaid (Gilead) is ours, and we are still, and don't laqach (take / seize) it out of the yad (hand) of the malak (king) of Aram (Syria)?”
He amar (said) to Yahawashapat (Jehoshaphat), “Will you yalak (go) with me to malachamah (battle) to Ramath-Galaid (Ramoth Gilead)? Yahawashapat (Jehoshaphat)?” amar (said) to the malak (king) of Yashar-Al (Israel), “I am as you are, my im (nation / people) as your im (nation / people), my sawas (horses) as your sawas (horses).”
Yahawashapat (Jehoshaphat) amar (spoke) to the malak (king) of Yashar-Al (Israel), “Please darash (inquire) yawam (day) for the dabar (word / matter) of Yahawah ().”
Then the malak (king) of Yashar-Al (Israel) qabatz (gathered) the nabayaayam (prophets) qabatz (together), about arabai (four) maah (hundred) ayash (man / husband), and amar (spoke) to them, “Shall I yalak (go) against Ramath-Galaid (Ramoth Gilead) to malachamah (battle), or shall I chadal (forbear)?” They amar (spoke), “ilah (go up / offer) up; for the Adanay () will nathan (give) it into the yad (hand) of the malak (king).”
But Yahawashapat (Jehoshaphat) amar (spoke), “Isn't there here a nabayaa (prophet/prophecy) of Yahawah (), that we may darash (inquire) of him?”
The malak (king) of Yashar-Al (Israel) amar (spoke) to Yahawashapat (Jehoshaphat), “There is yet achad (one) ayash (man / husband) by whom we may darash (inquire) of Yahawah (), Mayakayahaw (Micaiah) the ban (son) of Yamalaa (Imlah); but I shanaa (hate) him; for he does not nabaa (prophesy) tawab (good / proper function) concerning me, but rai (evil).” Yahawashapat (Jehoshaphat) amar (spoke), “Don't let the malak (king) amar (spoke) so.”
Then the malak (king) of Yashar-Al (Israel) qaraa (called) an sarayas (officer), and amar (said), “mahar (quickly) get Mayakayahaw (Micaiah) the ban (son) of Yamalaa (Imlah).”
Now the malak (king) of Yashar-Al (Israel) and Yahawashapat (Jehoshaphat) the malak (king) of Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah) were sitting ayash (man / husband) on his kasaa (throne), labash (arrayed) in their bagadayam (robes), in an open garan (place) at the pathach (entrance) of the shair (gate) of Shamarawan (Samaria); and all the nabayaayam (prophets) were prophesying panayam (face) them.
Tzadaqayah (Zedekiah) the ban (son) of Kanainah (Chenaanah) ishah (make) him qaranay (horns) of barazal (iron), and amar (spoke), “Thus amar (spoke) Yahawah (), ‘With these you shall nagach (push) the Aram (Syrians), until they are kalah (complete / finish).’”
All the nabaayam (prophets) nabaa (prophesied) so, amar (spoke), “ilah (go up / offer) up to Ramath-Galaid (Ramoth Gilead), and tzalach (prosper); for Yahawah () will nathan (give) it into the yad (hand) of the malak (king).”
The malaak (angel / messenger of Yah) who halak (move) to qaraa (called) Mayakayahaw (Micaiah) dabar (word / matter) to him, amar (said), “See now, the nabayaayam (prophets) declare tawab (good / proper function) to the malak (king) with achad (one) pah (mouth). Please let your dabar (word / matter) be like the dabar (word / matter) of achad (one) of them, and dabar (word / matter) tawab (good / proper function).”
Mayakayahaw (Micaiah) amar (spoke), “As Yahawah () chay (life), what Yahawah () amar (spoke) to me, that I will dabar (word / matter).”
When he bawaa (come) come to the malak (king), the malak (king) amar (spoke) to him, “Mayakayahaw (Micaiah), shall we yalak (go) to Ramath-Galaid (Ramoth Gilead) to malachamah (battle), or shall we chadal (forbear)?” He amar (spoke) him, “ilah (go up / offer) up and tzalach (prosper); and Yahawah () will nathan (give) it into the yad (hand) of the malak (king).”
The malak (king) amar (spoke) to him, “How many paimayam (times) do I have to shabai (swear / take oath) you that you dabar (word / matter) to me nothing but the amath (truth) in the sham (name) of Yahawah ()?”
He amar (spoke), “I raah (see) all Yashar-Al (Israel) pawatz (scattered) on the harayam (mountains), as tzaan (sheep) that have no raih (shepherd). Yahawah () amar (spoke), ‘These have no adawan (master / lord). Let them ayash (man / husband) shawab (turn back / repent) to his bayath (house) in shalawam (peace / safety).’”
The malak (king) of Yashar-Al (Israel) amar (said) to Yahawashapat (Jehoshaphat), “Didn't I amar (said) you that he would not nabaa (prophesy) tawab (good / proper function) concerning me, but rai (evil)?”
Mayakah (Micaiah) amar (spoke), “Therefore shamai (hearken / hear) the dabar (word / matter) of Yahawah (). I raah (see) Yahawah () sitting on his kasaa (throne), and all the tzabaa (troop) of shamayam (Shamayam / Heavens) imad (standing) by him on his right yamayan (right hand) and on his shamaawal (left hand).
Yahawah () amar (spoke), ‘Who shall pathah (entice) Achaab (Ahab), that he may ilah (go up / offer) up and napal (fall / be cast down) at Ramath-Galaid (Ramoth Gilead)?’ One amar (spoke) kah (one) thing; and another amar (spoke) another.
A rawach (spirit / wind) yatzaa (go out / come out) out and imad (stood) panayam (face) Yahawah (), and amar (spoke), ‘I will pathah (entice) him.’
Yahawah () amar (spoke) to him, ‘How?’ He amar (spoke), ‘I will yatzaa (go out / come out) out and will be a shaqar (lying) rawach (spirit / wind) in the pah (mouth) of all his nabayaa (prophet/prophecy).’ He amar (spoke), ‘You will pathah (entice) him, and will also yakal (prevail). Yatzaa (go out / come out) out and ishah (make) so.’
Now therefore, behold, Yahawah () nathan (give) put a shaqar (lying) rawach (spirit / wind) in the pah (mouth) of all these your nabayaa (prophet/prophecy); and Yahawah () has dabar (word / matter) rai (evil) concerning you.”
Then Tzadaqayah (Zedekiah) the ban (son) of Kanainah (Chenaanah) nagash (came) near, and nakah (struck) Mayakayahaw (Micaiah) on the lachay (cheek), and amar (spoke), “Which ay (way) did the rawach (spirit / wind) of Yahawah () ibar (pass over/through) from me to dabar (word / matter) to you?”
Mayakayahaw (Micaiah) amar (said), “raah (see / saw), you will see on that yawam (day), when you bawaa (bring) into an chadar (inner) room to chabah (hide) yourself.”
The malak (king) of Yashar-Al (Israel) amar (said), “laqach (take / seize) Mayakayahaw (Micaiah), and shawab (turn) him back to Amawan (Amon) the shar (prince / ruler) of the iyar (city), and to Yawaash (Joash) the malak (king) ban (son).
Amar (said), ‘Thus amar (said) the malak (king), “shawam (place / establish / appoint) this fellow in the bayath (house), and akal (eat) him with lacham (bread) of lachatz (affliction) and with mayam (Waters) of lachatz (affliction), until I bawaa (bring) in shalawam (peace / safety).”’”
Mayakayahaw (Micaiah) amar (spoke), “If you shawab (turn back / repent) at shawab (turn back / repent) in shalawam (peace / safety), Yahawah () has not dabar (word / matter) by me.” He amar (spoke), “shamai (hearken / hear), all you imayam (people)!”
So the malak (king) of Yashar-Al (Israel) and Yahawashapat (Jehoshaphat) the malak (king) of Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah) ilah (go up / offer) up to Ramath-Galaid (Ramoth Gilead).
The malak (king) of Yashar-Al (Israel) amar (said) to Yahawashapat (Jehoshaphat), “I will disguise myself, and bawaa (bring) into the malachamah (battle); but you labash (put) on your bagad (robes).” The malak (king) of Yashar-Al (Israel) disguised himself, and bawaa (bring) into the malachamah (battle).
Now the malak (king) of Aram (Syria) had tzawah (commanded) the shalawashayam (thirty) - shanayam (two) sharay (captains) of his rakab (chariots), amar (said), “lacham (fight) neither with qatan (small / young / least) nor gadawal (very great/important/mighty), except only with the malak (king) of Yashar-Al (Israel).”
It happened, when the sharay (captains) of the rakab (chariots) raah (see / saw) Yahawashapat (Jehoshaphat), that they amar (said), “Surely that is the malak (king) of Yashar-Al (Israel)!” And they sawar (turned) aside to lacham (fight) against him. Yahawashapat (Jehoshaphat) zaiq (cried) out.
It happened, when the sharay (captains) of the rakab (chariots) raah (see / saw) that it was not the malak (king) of Yashar-Al (Israel), that they shawab (turn) back from achar (other) him.
A certain ayash (man / husband) mashak (drew) his qashath (bow) at random, and nakah (struck) the malak (king) of Yashar-Al (Israel) between the dabaqayam (joints) of the armor. Therefore he amar (said) to the rakab (driver) of his chariot, “hapak (turn) your yad (hand), and yatzaa (go out / come out) me out of the machanah (battle); for I am severely chalah (afflict).”
The malachamah (battle) ilah (go up / offer) that yawam (day). The malak (king) was propped up in his marakabah (chariot) facing the Aram (Syrians), and mawath (death) at irab (evening). The dam (blood) yatzaq (ran) out of the makah (wound) into the chayaq (bottom) of the rakab (chariot).
A ranah (cry) ibar (pass over/through) throughout the machanah (army) about the bawaa (bring) down of the shamash (sun), amar (said), “Every ayash (man / husband) to his iyar (city), and every ayash (man / husband) to his aratz (Earth/land)!”
So the malak (king) mawath (death), and was bawaa (bring) to Shamarawan (Samaria); and they qabar (grave / tomb / sepulcher) the malak (king) in Shamarawan (Samaria).
They shatap (washed) the rakab (chariot) by the barakah (pool) of Shamarawan (Samaria); and the kalabayam (dogs) laqaq (licked) up his dam (blood) where the prostitutes rachatz (washed) themselves; according to the dabar (word / matter) of Yahawah () which he dabar (word / matter).
Now the yathar (rest) of the dabaray (acts) of Achaab (Ahab), and all that he ishah (make), and the shan (ivory) bayath (house) which he banah (build), and all the irayam (cities) that he banah (build), aren't they kathab (write) in the sapar (book / scribed document) of the dabaray (chronicles) of the malakay (kings) of Yashar-Al (Israel)?
So Achaab (Ahab) shakab (slept) with his ab (father); and Achazayah (Ahaziah) his ban (son) malak (king) in his place.
Yahawashapat (Jehoshaphat) the ban (son) of Asaa (Asa) began to malak (king) over Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah) in the arabai (four) shanah (year) of Achaab (Ahab) malak (king) of Yashar-Al (Israel).
Yahawashapat (Jehoshaphat) was shalawashayam (thirty) - chamash (five) shanah (years) ban (son) when he began to malak (king); and he malak (king) isharayam (twenty) - chamash (five) shanah (years) in Yarawashalam (Yarawashalam / Jerusalem). His am (mother) sham (name) was Izawabah (Azubah) the banath (daughter) of Shalachay (Shilhi).
He yalak (walked) in all the darak (way) of Asaa (Asa) his ab (father); He didn't sawar (turn) aside from it, ishah (make) that which was yashar (upright) in the iyanay (eyes) of Yahawah (): however the high places were not sawar (taken) away; the people still ishah (make) and burnt incense in the high places.
Yahawashapat (Jehoshaphat) made peace with the king of Yashar-Al (Israel).
Now the rest of the acts of Yahawashapat (Jehoshaphat), and his might that he showed, and how he warred, aren't they written in the book of the chronicles of the malak (king) of Yahawadah (Judah)?
The yathar (remnant) of the sodomites, that remained in the yamayam (days) of his father Asa, he ishah (make) away out of the land.
There was no king in Adawam (Edom): a deputy was king.
Yahawashapat (Jehoshaphat) made ships of Tharashayash (Tarshish) to ayan (NO ONE) to Awapayar (Ophir) for gold: but they didn't ayan (NO ONE); for the ships were broken at Ezion Gabar (Geber).
Then Achazayah (Ahaziah) the son of Achaab (Ahab) said to Yahawashapat (Jehoshaphat), “Let my servants yalak (go) with your servants in the anayawath (ships).” But Yahawashapat (Jehoshaphat) would not.
Yahawashapat (Jehoshaphat) slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of Dawad (David) his father; Yahawaram (Jehoram) his ban (son) reigned in his place.
Achazayah (Ahaziah) the ban (son) of Achaab (Ahab) began to malak (king) over Yashar-Al (Israel) in Shamarawan (Samaria) in the seventeenth year of Yahawashapat (Jehoshaphat) malak (king) of Yahawadah (Judah), and he malak (king) two years over Yashar-Al (Israel).
He did that which was evil in the sight of Yahawah (), and walked in the way of his father, and in the way of his mother, and in the way of Yarabaim (Jeroboam) the ban (son) of Nabat (Nebat), in which he made Yashar-Al (Israel) to sin.
He ishah (make) Bail (Baal), and worshiped him, and provoked to anger Yahawah (), the Alahayam () of Yashar-Al (Israel), according to all that his ab (father) ishah (make) done.
