1 Chronicles 7 — Novel English Bible

1 Of the banay (my son) of Yashashakar (Issachar): Thawalai (Tola), and Pawaah (Puah), Yashawab (Jashub), and Shamarawan (Shimron), arabai (four).

2 The banay (my son) of Thawalai (Tola): Izay (Uzzi), and Rapayah (Rephaiah), and Yarayaal (Jeriel), and Yachamay (Jahmai), and Yabasham (Ibsam), and Shamawaal (Shemuel), raashayam (heads) of their ab (father)’ bayath (house), of Thawalai (Tola); chayal (wealth / substance / capability / valor) gabawaray (men) of valor in their thawaladah (generation): their masapar (number) in the yamay (days) of Dawad (David) was isharayam (twenty) - shanayam (two) alap (thousand) shash (six) maah (hundred).

3 The banay (my son) of Izay (Uzzi): Yazarachayah (Izrahiah). The banay (my son) of Yazarachayah (Izrahiah): Mayakaal (Michael), and Ibadayah (Obadiah), and Yawaal (Joel), Yashayah (Isshiah), chamash (five); all of them raash (head) men.

4 With them, by their thawaladah (generation), after their ab (father)’ bayath (house), were gadawaday (bands) of the tzabaa (troop) for malachamah (war), shalawashayam (thirty) - shash (six) alap (thousand); for they rabah (had) many wives and banayam (sons).

5 Their ach (brother/kinsman) among all the mashapachawath (families) of Yashashakar (Issachar), chayal (wealth / substance / capability / valor) gabawaray (men) of valor, yachash (reckoned) in all by genealogy, were shamanayam (eighty) - shabai (seven) alap (thousand).

6 The sons of Banayamayan (Benjamin): Balai (Bela), and Bakar (Becher), and Yadayaial (Jediael), shalawash (three).

7 The banay (my son) of Balai (Bela): Atzabawan (Ezbon), and Izay (Uzzi), and Izayaal (Uzziel), and Yarayamawath (Jerimoth), and Iyaray (Iri), chamash (five); raashay (heads) of abawath (fathers)’ bayath (house), gabawar (mighty) chayalayam (men) of valor; and they were yachash (reckoned) by genealogy isharayam (twenty) - shanayam (two) alap (thousand) shalawashayam (thirty) - arabai (four).

8 The banay (my son) of Bakar (Becher): Zamayarah (Zemirah), and Yawaish (Joash), and Alayaizar (Eliezer), and Alayahawaiyanay (Elioenai), and Imaray (Omri), and Yarayamawath (Jeremoth), and Abayah (Abijah), and Inathawath (Anathoth), and Ilamath (Alemeth). All these were the banay (my son) of Bakar (Becher).

9 They were yachash (reckoned) by genealogy, after their thawaladah (generation), raashay (heads) of their ab (father)’ bayath (house), gabawar (mighty) men of valor, isharayam (twenty) alap (thousand) two maah (hundred).

10 The banay (my son) of Yadayaial (Jediael): Balahan (Bilhan). The banay (my son) of Balahan (Bilhan): Yaiwash (Jeush), and Banayamayan (Benjamin), and Ahawad (Ehud), and Kanainah (Chenaanah), and Zayathan (Zethan), and Tharashayash (Tarshish), and Achayashachar (Ahishahar).

11 All these were banay (my son) of Yadayaial (Jediael), according to the raashay (heads) of their abawath (fathers)’ households, gabawar (mighty) chayalayam (men) of valor, seventeen alap (thousand) and two maah (hundred), who were yatzaa (go out / come out) to go forth in the tzabaa (troop) for tzabaa (troop).

12 Shapayam (Shuppim) also, and Chapayam (Huppim), the banay (my son) of Iyar (Ir), Chawashayam (Hushim), the banay (my son) of Achar (other).

13 The banay (my son) of Napathalay (Naphtali): Yachatzayaal (Jahziel), and Gawanay (Guni), and Yatzar (Jezer), and Shalawam (peace / safety), the banay (my son) of Balahah (Bilhah).

14 The banay (my son) of Manashah (Manasseh): Asharayaal (Asriel), whom his payalagash (concubine) the aramay (aramitess) yalad (birth / begot): she yalad (birth / begot) Makayar (Machir) the ab (father) of Galaid (Gilead):

15 And Makayar (Machir) laqach (take / seize) a ayashah (woman / wife) of Chapayam (Huppim) and Shapayam (Shuppim), whose achawath (sister's) sham (name) was Maikah (Maacah); and the sham (name) of the shanay (second) was Tzalapachad (Zelophehad): and Tzalapachad (Zelophehad) had banawath (daughters).

16 Maikah (Maacah) the ayashah (woman / wife) of Makayar (Machir) yalad (birth / begot) a ban (son), and she sham (name) him Parash (Peresh); and the sham (name) of his ach (brother/kinsman) was Sharash (Sheresh); and his ban (son) were Awalam (Ulam) and Raqam (Rakem).

17 The banay (my son) of Awalam (Ulam): Badan (Bedan). These were the banay (my son) of Galaid (Gilead) the ban (son) of Makayar (Machir), the ban (son) of Manashah (Manasseh).

18 His achawath (sister) Malakath (Hammolecheth) yalad (birth / begot) Ayashahawad (Ishhod), and Abayaizar (Abiezer), and Machalah (Mahlah).

19 The banay (my son) of Shamayadai (Shemida) were Achayan (Ahian), and Shakam (Shechem), and Laqachay (Likhi), and Anayaim (Aniam).

20 The banay (my son) of Aparayam (Ephraim): Shawathalach (Shuthelah), and Barad (Bered) his ban (son), and Thachath (under) his ban (son), and Alaidah (Eleadah) his ban (son), and Thachath (under) his ban (son),

21 And Zabad (Zabad) his ban (son), and Shawathalach (Shuthelah) his ban (son), and Izar (Ezer), and Alaid (Elead), whom the ban (son) of gath (gath) who were yalad (birth / begot) in the aratz (Earth/land) harag (kill), because they yarad (came) down to laqach (take / seize) away their livestock.

22 Aparayam (Ephraim) their ab (father) abal (mourned) many yamayam (days), and his ach (brother/kinsman) bawaa (bring) to nacham (turn away / repent) him.

23 He bawaa (bring) in to his ayashah (woman / wife), and she harah (conceived), and yalad (birth / begot) a ban (son), and he sham (name) him Barayaih (Beriah), because it went rai (evil) with his bayath (house).

24 His banath (daughter) was Shaarah (Sheerah), who banah (build) Bayathachawarawan (Beth Horon) the thachathawan (lower) and the ilayawan (Most High), and Azanashaarah (Uzzen Sheerah).

25 Rapach (Rephah) was his ban (son), and Rashap (Resheph), and Thalach (Telah) his ban (son), and Thachan (Tahan) his ban (son),

26 Laidan (Ladan) his ban (son), Imayahawad (Ammihud) his ban (son), Alayashamai (Elishama) his ban (son),

27 Nawan (Nun) his ban (son), Yahawashawai (Joshua) his ban (son).

28 Their achazah (possessions) and habitations were Bayath-Al (Bethel) and its banath (daughter), and eastward Nairan (Naaran), and westward Gazar (Gezer), with its banath (daughter); Shakam (Shechem) also and its banath (daughter), to Izah (Azzah) and its banath (daughter);

29 And by the yaday (borders) of the banay (my son) of Manashah (Manasseh), Bayath-Shaan (Beth Shean) and its banath (daughter), Thainak (Taanach) and its banath (daughter), Magadawan (Megiddo) and its banath (daughter), Dawar (Dor) and its banath (daughter). In these lived the banay (my son) of Yawasap (Joseph) the ban (son) of Yashar-Al (Israel).

30 The banay (my son) of Ashar (who/that): Yamanah (Imnah), and Yashawah (Ishvah), and Yashaway (Ishvi), and Barayaih (Beriah), and Sharach (Serah) their achawath (sister).

31 The banay (my son) of Barayaih (Beriah): Chabar (Heber), and Malakayaal (Malchiel), who was the ab (father) of Barazawath (Birzaith).

32 Chabar (Heber) became the yalad (birth / begot) of Yapalat (Japhlet), and Shawamar (Shomer), and Chawatham (Hotham), and Shawaia (Shua) their achawath (sister).

33 The banay (my son) of Yapalat (Japhlet): Pasak (Pasach), and Bamahal (Bimhal), and Ishawath (Ashvath). These are the banay (my son) of Yapalat (Japhlet).

34 The banay (my son) of Shamar (keep/guard): Achay (Ahi), and Rawahagah (Rohgah), Yachabah (Jehubbah), and Aram (Aram).

35 The ban (son) of Halam (Helem) his ach (brother/kinsman): Tzawapach (Zophah), and Yamanai (Imna), and Shalash (three), and Imal (Amal).

37 Batzar (Bezer), and Hawad (Hod), and Shamaa (Shamma), and Shalashah (Shilshah), and Yatharan (Ithran), and Baaraa (Beera).

38 The banay (my son) of Yathar (Jether): Yapanah (Jephunneh), and Pasapah (Pispa), and Araa (Ara).

39 The banay (my son) of Ilaa (Ulla): Arach (Arah), and Chanayaal (Hanniel), and Ratzayaa (Rizia).

40 All these were the banay (my son) of Ashar (who/that), raashay (heads) of the abawath (fathers)’ bayath (house), barar (choice) and gabawar (mighty) men of valor, raash (head) of the nashayaayam (princes). The masapar (number) of them reckoned by yachash (genealogy) for tzabaa (troop) in war was isharayam (twenty) - shash (six) alap (thousand) banay (my son).
