1 When Rachabaim (Rehoboam) bawaa (bring) come to Yarawashalam (Yarawashalam / Jerusalem), he qahal (assembled) the bayath (house) of Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah) and Banayamayan (Benjamin), one maah (hundred) shamanayam (eighty) alap (thousand) bachar (chosen) ishah (make), who were warriors, to lacham (fight) against Yashar-Al (Israel), to shawab (turn) the mamalakah (kingdom) again to Rachabaim (Rehoboam).
2 But the dabar (word / matter) of Yahawah () came to Shamaiyah (Shemaiah) the ayash (man / husband) of Alahayam (), amar (spoke),
3 “Amar (said) to Rachabaim (Rehoboam) the ban (son) of Shalamah (Solomon - Patriarch), malak (king) of Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah), and to all Yashar-Al (Israel) in Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah) and Banayamayan (Benjamin), amar (said),
4 ‘Thus amar (spoke) Yahawah (), “You shall not ilah (go up / offer) up, nor lacham (fight) against your ach (brother/kinsman)! Shawab (turn back / repent) every ayash (man / husband) to his bayath (house); for this thing is of me.”’” So they shamai (hearken / hear) to the dabaray (words) of Yahawah (), and shawab (turn back / repent) from yalak (going) against Yarabaim (Jeroboam).
5 Rachabaim (Rehoboam) lived in Yarawashalam (Yarawashalam / Jerusalem), and banah (build) irayam (cities) for defense in Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah).
6 He banah (build) Bayath-Lacham (Bethlehem), and Iyatam (Etam), and Thaqawai (Tekoa),
7 Bayathatzawar (Beth Zur), and Shawakah (Soco), and Idalam (Adullam),
8 And gath (gath), and Maraashah (Mareshah), and Zayap (Ziph),
9 And Adawarayam (Adoraim), and Lakayash (Lachish), and Izaqah (Azekah),
10 And Tzaraih (Zorah), and Ayalawan (Aijalon), and Chabarawan (Hebron), which are in Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah) and in Banayamayan (Benjamin), fortified iray (cities).
11 He chazaq (fortified) the strongholds, and nathan (give) nagayadayam (captains) in them, and atzarawath (stores) of maakal (food), and shaman (oil) and yayan (wine).

13 The kahanayam (priests) and the Lawayay (Levites) who were in all Yashar-Al (Israel) yatzab (resorted) to him out of all their gabawal (border/boundary).
14 For the Lawayay (Levites) izab (left) their magarash (suburbs) and their achazah (possession), and yalak (came) to Yahawadah (Judah) and Yarawashalam (Jerusalem): for Yarabaim (Jeroboam) and his ban (son) zanach (cast) them off, that they should not execute the kahan (priest) office to Yahawah ();
15 And he imad (appointed) him kahanayam (priests) for the bamah (high) places, and for the male shaiyarayam (goats), and for the calves which he ishah (make) made.
16 Achar (other) them, out of all the shabatay (tribes) of Yashar-Al (Israel), such as nathan (give) their labab (hearts) to baqash (seek) Yahawah (), the Alahayam () of Yashar-Al (Israel), bawaa (come) to Yarawashalam (Jerusalem) to zabach (sacrifice) to Yahawah (), the Alahayam () of their ab (father).
17 So they chazaq (strengthened) the malakawath (kingdom) of Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah), and made Rachabaim (Rehoboam) the ban (son) of Shalamah (Solomon - Patriarch) amatz (strong), shalawash (three) shanayam (two); for they halak (move) shalawash (three) shanayam (two) in the darak (way) of Dawad (David) and Shalamah (Solomon - Patriarch).
18 Rachabaim (Rehoboam) laqach (take / seize) him a ayashah (woman / wife), Machalath (Mahalath) the banath (daughter) of Yarayamawath (Jerimoth) the ban (son) of Dawad (David), and of Abayahayal (Abihail) the banath (daughter) of Alayaab (Eliab) the ban (son) of Yashay (Jesse);
19 And she yalad (birth / begot) him banayam (sons): Yaiwash (Jeush), and Shamarayah (Shemariah), and Zaham (Zaham).
20 Achar (other) her he laqach (take / seize) Maikah (Maacah) the banath (daughter) of Abayashalawam (Absalom); and she yalad (birth / begot) him Abayah (Abijah), and Ithay (Attai), and Zayazaa (Ziza), and Shalamayath (Shelomith).
21 Rachabaim (Rehoboam) ahab (love) Maikah (Maacah) the banath (daughter) of Abayashalawam (Absalom) above all his wives and his payalagashayam (concubines): (for he nashaa (lift) eighteen wives, and shashayam (sixty) payalagashayam (concubines), and became the yalad (birth / begot) of isharayam (twenty) - shamanah (eight) banayam (sons) and shashayam (sixty) banawath (daughters).)
22 Rachabaim (Rehoboam) imad (appointed) Abayah (Abijah) the ban (son) of Maikah (Maacah) to be raash (head), the nagayad (prince) among his ach (brother/kinsman); for he intended to make him malak (king).
23 He dealt wisely, and paratz (dispersed) of all his ban (son) throughout all the aratzawath (lands) of Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah) and Banayamayan (Benjamin), to every fortified iyar (city): and he nathan (give) them food in rab (abundance). He sought for them many wives.
