3 WaYaAmar (And said) LaYahawadah (Judah) LaDarawash (commanded to seek) Ath (the entirety of) Yahawah (), Alahayam (God) Abawathayam (their fathers), WaLaIshahawath (and to do - plural) HaThawarah (the law) WaHaMatzawah (and the commandment).
4 WaYaSawar (And he took away) MaKal (from every) Iyaray (out of cities) Yahawadah (Judah) Ath-HaBamahawath (the entirety of the high places) WaAth-HaChamanayam (and the entirety of the sun images): WaThaShaqat (and quiet) HaMamalakah (the kingdom) LaPanayamaw (before him).
5 WaYaBanah (And he built) Iyaray (fortified cities) Matzawarah (𐤌𐤑𐤅𐤓𐤄) BaYahawadah (in Judah); Kay-Shaqatah (surely quiet), HaAratz (the land) WaAyan (And no ONE) Imaw (with him) Malachamah (war) BaShanahayam (in years), HaAlah (these) Kay-YaHaNawayach (surely because [causing] rest) Yahawah (). Law (for him)
6 WaYaAmar (And he said) LaYahawadah (to Judah), “NaBanah (we build) Ath-HaIyarayam (the entirety of these cities), HaAlah (these) WaNaSabab (and surround / encompass) Chawamah (wall around), WaMagadalayam (and towers), Dalathayam (gates), WaBarayachayam (and bars). Iwadanaw (more/again) HaAratz (the land) LaPanayamanaw (our before), KayaDarashanaw (surely we sought) Ath (the entirety of) Yahawah () Alahayam (God); Darashanaw (we sought), WaYaNawach (and he rest) Lanaw (for us) MaSabayab (from every side).” WaYaBanahaw (and built) WaYaTzalayachaw (and prospered).
7 WaYaHayah (And came to pass) LaAsaa (Asa) Chayal (wealth / substance / capability / valor) Nashaa (lift) Tzanah (bucklers) WaRamach (and spears), MaYahawadah (out of Judah) Shalawash (three) Maahawath (hundred - plural) Alap (thousand); Ban-Yamayan (Benjamin), Nashaay (bore) Magan (shield) WaDarakay (and drew) Qashath (bows), Maahathayam (hundred - plural) WaShamawanayam (and eighty) Alap (thousand): Kal (every) Alah (these) Gabawaray (mighty men) Chayal (wealth / substance / capability / valor).
8 WaYaYatzaa (And came out) Alayam (to them) Zarach (Zerah) HaKawashay (the Ethiopian) BaChayal (against with army) Alap (million troops), Alapayam (a thousand - plural) WaMarakabahawath (and chariots) Shalawash (three) Maahawath (hundred - plural); WaYaBawaa (and he came) Id (as far as) Maraashah (Mareshah).
9 WaYaYatzaa (And went out) Asaa (Asa) LaPanayamaw (to his meet), WaYaIrakaw (and array) Malachamah (war) BaGayaa (in valley) Tzapathah (Zephathah) LaMaraashah (at Mareshah).
10 WaYaQaraa (And cried) Asaa (Asa) Al (to) Yahawah () Alahayam (God), WaYaAmar (and said), “Yahawah (), Ayan (NO ONE) Imak (with you) LaIzawar (to help), BayanaRab (between many) LaAyan (NO ONE) Kach (strength / mighty / power). Izaranaw (help us), Yahawah () Alahayam (God); Kay-Ilayak (surely my _ over yours) NaShainanaw (we rely), WaBaShamak (and in your name) Bawaanaw (we come) Il-HaHamawan (over against this multitude). HaZah (this / that / these) Yahawah (), Alahayam (God). Athah (you) Al (not) YaItzar (prevail against) Imak (with you) Anawash (let man).”
11 WaYaNagap (And struck) Yahawah () Ath-HaKawashayam (the entirety of the ethiopians) LaPanayam (before) Asaa (Asa), WaLaPanayam (and before) Yahawadah (Judah); WaYaNawasaw (and fled) HaKawashayam (the ethiopians).
12 WaYaRadapam (And pursued them) Asaa (Asa) WaHaIm (and the people) Ashar-Imaw (who/that with him) Id (as far as) LaGarar (to Gerar): WaYaNapal (and fell) MaKawashayam (of ethiopians) LaAyan (NO ONE) Lam (for them) Machayah (many recover) Kay (themselves); NaShabaraw (they destroyed) LaPanayam (before) Yahawah (), WaLaPanayam (and before) Machanahaw (his army); WaYaNashaaw (and carried away) Shalal (𐤔𐤋𐤋) HaRabah (multiply/become many) Maad (very much booty).
13 WaYaNakahaw (And struck him) AthaKal (the entirety of every) HaIyarayam (the cities around) Sabayabawath (surrounding - plural) Garar (Gerar); Kay-YaHayah (surely came to pass) Pachad (fear / dread) Yahawah () Ilayam (came them): WaYaBazazaw (and 𐤁𐤆𐤆) Ath-Kal (the entirety of every) HaIyarayam (despoiled the cities); Kay-Bazah (surely much spoil) Rabah (chief / many) Hayahathah (came to pass) Bam (within him them).
14 WaGam (And indeed / moreover) Ahalay (tents) Maqanah (livestock), HaNakahaw ([causing] struck him) WaYaShabahaw (and carried away) Tzaan (Flock / Sheeps / Goats) LaRab (abundance), WaGamalayam (and camels), WaYaShawabaw (and returned) Yarawashalam (Jerusalem).
15 They nakah (struck) all the cities around Garar (Gerar); for the fear of Yahawah () came on them: and they despoiled all the cities; for there was much spoil in them.
