Amatzayah (Amaziah) was isharayam (twenty) - chamash (five) shanah (years) ban (son) when he began to malak (king); and he malak (king) isharayam (twenty) - thashai (nine) shanah (years) in Yarawashalam (Yarawashalam / Jerusalem): and his am (mother) sham (name) was Yahawaidayan (Jehoaddan), of Yarawashalam (Yarawashalam / Jerusalem).
He ishah (make) that which was yashar (upright) in the iyanay (eyes) of Yahawah (), but not with a shalam (full / whole / complete) labab (heart).
Now it happened, when the mamalakah (kingdom) was chazaq (established) to him, that he harag (kill) his ibad (servant) who had harag (kill) the malak (king) his ab (father).
But he didn't put their banayam (children) to mawath (death), but did according to that which is kathab (write) in the thawarah (instruction) in the sapar (book / scribed document) of Mashah (Moses), as Yahawah () tzawah (commanded), amar (spoke), “The abawath (fathers) shall not mawath (death) for the banayam (children), neither shall the banayam (children) mawath (death) for the abawath (fathers); but every ayash (man / husband) shall mawath (death) for his own chataa (sin).”
Moreover Amatzayah (Amaziah) qabatz (gathered) Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah) qabatz (together), and ordered them according to their abawath (fathers)’ bayath (house), under sharay (captains) of alapayam (thousands) and sharay (captains) of maawath (hundreds), even all Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah) and Banayamayan (Benjamin): and he paqad (visit) them from isharayam (twenty) shanah (years) ban (son) and upward, and matzaa (found) them shalawash (three) maah (hundred) alap (thousand) bachar (chosen) men, yatzaa (go out / come out) to go forth to tzabaa (troop), who could achaz (handle) ramach (spear) and tzanah (shield).
He shakar (hired) also one maah (hundred) alap (thousand) gabawar (mighty) chayal (wealth / substance / capability / valor) of valor out of Yashar-Al (Israel) for one maah (hundred) kakar (talents) of kasap (silver).
A ayash (man / husband) of Alahayam () bawaa (come) to him, amar (spoke), “O malak (king), don't let the tzabaa (troop) of Yashar-Al (Israel) bawaa (come) with you; for Yahawah () is not with Yashar-Al (Israel), with all the banay (children) of Aparayam (Ephraim).
But if you will bawaa (come), ishah (make) action, be chazaq (strong) for the malachamah (battle). Alahayam () will overthrow you panayam (face) the ayab (enemy); for Alahayam () yash (has) kach (strength / mighty / power) to izar (help), and to overthrow.”
Amatzayah (Amaziah) amar (spoke) to the ayash (man / husband) of Alahayam (), “But what shall we ishah (make) for the maah (hundred) kakar (talents) which I nathan (give) given to the gadawad (army) of Yashar-Al (Israel)?” The ayash (man / husband) of Alahayam () amar (spoke), “Yahawah () is able to nathan (give) you much more than this.”
Then Amatzayah (Amaziah) badal (separated) them, the gadawad (army) that bawaa (bring) come to him out of Aparayam (Ephraim), to bawaa (bring) maqawam (place) again: therefore their ap (nostril / picture: bull snorting) was maad (greatly) charah (hot with anger) against Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah), and they shawab (turn) maqawam (place) in charay (fierce) ap (nostril / picture: bull snorting).
Amatzayah (Amaziah) chazaq (took) courage, and nahag (led) forth his im (nation / people), and yalak (went) to the gayaa (valley) of malach (salt), and nakah (struck) ishar (ten) alap (thousand) of the banay (my son) of Shaiyar (Seir).
The banay (my son) of Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah) shabah (carry) away ishar (ten) alap (thousand) chay (life), and bawaa (bring) them to the raash (head) of the salai (rock), and shalak (threw) them down from the raash (head) of the salai (rock), so that they all were baqai (broken) in pieces.
But the banay (my son) of the gadawad (army) whom Amatzayah (Amaziah) shawab (turn) back, that they should not yalak (go) with him to malachamah (battle), pashat (fell) on the iray (cities) of Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah), from Shamarawan (Samaria) even to Bayathachawarawan (Beth Horon), and nakah (struck) of them shalawash (three) alap (thousand), and bazaz (took) much bazah (spoil).
Now it happened, achar (other) that Amatzayah (Amaziah) bawaa (come) come from the nakah (slaughter) of the Adawamay (Edomites), that he bawaa (come) the Alahayam () of the banay (children) of Shaiyar (Seir), and imad (set) them up to be his Alahayam (), and shachah (bowed) down panayam (face) before them, and qatar (burned) incense to them.
Therefore the ap (nostril / picture: bull snorting) of Yahawah () was charah (hot with anger) against Amatzayah (Amaziah), and he shalach (send) to him a nabayaa (prophet/prophecy), who amar (spoke) to him, “Why have you darash (sought) after the Alahayam () of the im (nation / people), which have not natzal (delivered) their own im (nation / people) out of your yad (hand)?”
It happened, as he dabar (word / matter) with him, that the king amar (spoke) to him, “nathan (give) we made you one of the malak (king) yaitz (counselors)? Stop! Why should you be nakah (struck) down?” Then the nabayaa (prophet/prophecy) stopped, and amar (spoke), “I yadai (know) that Alahayam () has yaitz (determined) to shachath (destroy) you, because you ishah (make) done this, and have not shamai (hearken / hear) to my itzah (counsel).”
Then Amatzayah (Amaziah) malak (king) of Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah) yaitz (consulted) his advisers, and shalach (send) to Yawaash (Joash), the ban (son) of Yahawaachaz (Jehoahaz) the ban (son) of Yahawaa (Jehu), malak (king) of Yashar-Al (Israel), amar (said), “ban (son), raah (see / saw) us look one another in the panayam (face).”
Yawaash (Joash) malak (king) of Yashar-Al (Israel) shalach (send) to Amatzayah (Amaziah) malak (king) of Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah), amar (said), “The chawach (thistle) that was in Labanawan (Lebanon) shalach (send) to the araz (cedar) that was in Labanawan (Lebanon), amar (said), ‘nathan (give) your banath (daughter) to my ban (son) as his ayashah (woman / wife); then a shadah (wild) animal that was in Labanawan (Lebanon) ibar (pass over/through) by, and ramas (trampled) down the chawach (thistle).
You amar (said) to yourself that you have nakah (struck) Adawam (Edom); and your lab (heart) nashaa (lift) you up to kabad (boast). Now stay at bayath (house). Why should you garah (meddle) with rai (trouble), that you should napal (fall / be cast down), even you, and Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah) with you?’”
But Amatzayah (Amaziah) would not shamai (hearken / hear); for it was of Alahayam (), that he might nathan (give) them into the yad (hand) of their enemies, because they had darash (sought) after the Alahayam () of Adawam (Edom).
So Yawaash (Joash) malak (king) of Yashar-Al (Israel) ilah (go up / offer) up; and he and Amatzayah (Amaziah) malak (king) of Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah) raah (see / saw) one another in the panayam (face) at Bayath-Shamash (Beth Shemesh), which belongs to Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah).
Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah) was defeated by Yashar-Al (Israel); and they nawas (fled) every ayash (man / husband) to his ahal (tent).
Yawaash (Joash) malak (king) of Yashar-Al (Israel) thapash (took) Amatzayah (Amaziah) malak (king) of Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah), the ban (son) of Yawaash (Joash) the ban (son) of Yahawaachaz (Jehoahaz), at Bayath-Shamash (Beth Shemesh), and bawaa (bring) him to Yarawashalam (Yarawashalam / Jerusalem), and paratz (broke) down the chawamah (wall) of Yarawashalam (Yarawashalam / Jerusalem) from the shair (gate) of Aparayam (Ephraim) to the panah (turn) shair (gate), arabai (four) maah (hundred) amah (cubits).
He took all the zahab (gold) and kasap (silver), and all the kalayam (vessels) that were matzaa (found) in the bayath (house) of Alahayam () with Ibadaadawam (Obed-Edom), and the atzarawath (treasures) of the malak (king) bayath (house), the hostages also, and shawab (turn back / repent) to Shamarawan (Samaria).
Amatzayah (Amaziah) the ban (son) of Yawaash (Joash) malak (king) of Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah) chayah (lived) achar (other) the mawath (death) of Yawaash (Joash) ban (son) of Yahawaachaz (Jehoahaz) malak (king) of Yashar-Al (Israel) chamash (fifteen) shanah (years).
Now the yathar (rest) of the dabaray (acts) of Amatzayah (Amaziah), raashawan (first) and acharawan (last), behold, aren't they kathab (write) in the sapar (book / scribed document) of the malakay (kings) of Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah) and Yashar-Al (Israel)?
Now from the ith (time) that Amatzayah (Amaziah) sawar (turned) away from achar (other) Yahawah (), they made a qashar (conspiracy) against him in Yarawashalam (Jerusalem). He nawas (fled) to Lakayash (Lachish); but they shalach (send) achar (other) him to Lakayash (Lachish), and mawath (death) him there.
They nashaa (lift) him on sawasayam (horses), and qabar (grave / tomb / sepulcher) him with his ab (father) in the iyar (city) of Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah).
