Job 15 — Novel English Bible

Then Alayapaz (Eliphaz) the thayamanay (temanite) inah (answer / respond),

“Should a wise chakam (man) inah (answer / respond) with rawach (spirit / wind) daith (knowledge), and malaa (fill) himself with the east qadayam (wind)?

Should he yakach (reason) with unprofitable dabar (word / matter), or with speeches with which he can do no yail (good)?

Yes, you do away with yaraah (fear), and hinder devotion panayam (face) Al.

For your iwan (guilt/iniquity) teaches your pah (mouth), and you bachar (choose) the lashawan (tongue / language) of the irawam (crafty).

Your own pah (mouth) rashai (condemns) you, and not I. Yes, your own shapah (lips) inah (answer / respond) against you.

“Are you the raashawan (first) adam (man) who was yalad (birth / begot)? Or were you chawal (brought) panayam (face) before the gabaiwath (hills)?

Have you shamai (hearken / hear) the sawad (secret) counsel of Alawah ()? Garai (do) you limit chakamah (wisdom) to yourself?

What do you yadai (know), that we don't yadai (know)? What do you bayan (between), which is not in us?

With us are both the shayab (gray-headed) and the very yashayash (aged) men, much yawam (day) than your ab (father).

Are the thanachamawath (consolations) of Al too mait (small) for you, even the dabar (word / matter) that is gentle toward you?

Why does your lab (heart) laqach (take / seize) you away? Why do your iyan (eye) flash,

That you shawab (turn) your rawach (spirit / wind) against Al, and let such malayan (words) yatzaa (go out / come out) out of your pah (mouth)?

What is anawash (man), that he should be zakah (clean)? What is he who is yalad (birth / begot) of a ayashah (woman / wife), that he should be tzadaq (righteous / just / fair)?

Behold, he puts no aman (believe / have faith) in his qadawash (holy) ones. Yes, the shamayam (Shamayam / Heavens) are not zakak (clean) in his iyan (eye);

How much less ayash (man / husband) who is thaib (abominable) and corrupt, a ayash (man / husband) who shathah (drinks) iwal (iniquity) like mayam (Waters)!

“I will chawah (show) you, shamai (hearken / hear) to me; that which I have chazah (seen) I will sapar (book):

(Which chakam (wise) men have nagad (told) by their ab (father), and have not kachad (hidden) it;

To whom alone the aratz (Earth/land) was nathan (give), and no stranger ibar (pass over/through) thawak (midst) them):

The rashai (wicked) chawal (man) writhes in pain all his yamay (days), even the masapar (number) of shanayam (two) that are tzapan (laid) up for the irayatz (oppressor).

A qawal (sound / voice) of pachadayam (terrors) is in his azan (ear). In prosperity the shadad (destroyer) shall bawaa (bring) on him.

He doesn't aman (believe / have faith) that he shall shawab (turn) out of chashak (darkness). He is tzapah (watchman / keep watch) for by the charab (sword).

He nadad (wanders) abroad for lacham (bread), saying, ‘Where is it?’ He yadai (knows) that the yawam (day) of chashak (darkness) is kawan (ready) at his yad (hand).

Tzar (oppressor / distressor) and matzawaqah (anguish) make him baith (afraid). They thaqap (prevail) against him, as a malak (king) ithayad (ready) to the kayadawar (battle).

Because he has natah (stretched) out his yad (hand) against Al, and behaves himself proudly against the Shaday ();

He rawatz (runs) at him with a stiff tzawaar (neck), with the ibay (thick) gabay (shields) of his magan (shield);

Because he has kasah (covered) his panayam (face) with his chalab (fatness), and ishah (make) fat on his thighs.

He shakan (place) lived in kachad (desolate) irayam (cities), in bathayam (houses) which no one yashab (inhabit/dwell), which were ithad (ready) to become galayam (heaps).

He shall not be ishar (rich), neither shall his chayal (wealth / substance / capability / valor) qawam (rise up), neither shall their natah (possessions) be extended on the aratz (Earth/land).

He shall not sawar (depart) out of chashak (darkness). The shalahabath (flame) shall yabash (dry land) up his branches. By the rawach (spirit / wind) of Alahayam () mouth shall he sawar (go) away.

Let him not aman (believe / have faith) in emptiness, thaih (deceiving) himself; for emptiness shall be his reward.

It shall be malaa (accomplished) laa (NOT) his yawam (day). His kapah (branch) shall not be rainan (green).

He shall chamas (shake) off his basar (unripe) grape as the gapan (vine), and shall shalak (cast) off his natzah (flower) as the zayath (olive) tree.

For the idah (company) of the godless shall be barren, and ash (fire) shall akal (eat) the ahalay (tents) of shachad (bribery).

They harah (conceive) imal (mischief), and yalad (birth / begot) forth awan (iniquity). Their batan (heart) kawan (prepares) maramah (deceit).”
