Proverbs 27 — Novel English Bible

Don't halal (praise) about machar (tomorrow); for you don't yadai (know) what a machar (day) may yalad (birth / begot) forth.

Let another zawar (man) halal (praise) you, and not your own pah (mouth); a stranger, and not your own shapah (lips).

A aban (stone) is kabad (heavy), and chawal (sand) is a burden; but a awayal (fool's) kais (provocation) is kabad (heavier) than shanayam (two).

Chamah (wrath) is akazarayawath (cruel), and ap (nostril / picture: bull snorting) is overwhelming; but who is able to imad (stand) panayam (face) qanaah (jealousy)?

Tawab (good / proper function) is galah (open) thawakachah (rebuke) than sathar (hidden) ahabah (love).

Aman (believe / have faith) are the patzaiy (wounds) of a ahab (love); although the kisses of an shanaa (hate) are profuse.

A shabai (full) napash (soul) loathes a napath (honeycomb); but to a raib (hungry) napash (soul), every mar (bitter) thing is mathawaq (sweet).

As a tzapawar (bird) that nadad (wanders) from her qan (nest), so is a ayash (man / husband) who nadad (wanders) from his maqawam (place).

Qatarath (perfume) and incense bring shamach (joy) to the lab (heart); so does earnest itzah (counsel) from a man's rai (neigbor/another person).

Don't izab (forsake) your rai (neigbor/another person) and your ab (father) rai (neigbor/another person). Don't bawaa (bring) to your ach (brother/kinsman) bayath (house) in the yawam (day) of your disaster: tawab (good / proper function) is a neighbor who is qarawab (near) than a distant ach (brother/kinsman).

Be chakam (wise), my ban (son), and bring shamach (joy) to my lab (heart), then I can shawab (turn) my tormentor.

A irawam (prudent) man raah (see / saw) danger and takes refuge; but the pathay (simple) ibar (pass over/through) on, and suffer for it.

Laqach (take / seize) his bagad (garment) when he irab (evening) up collateral for a stranger. Hold it for a wayward nakaray (woman)!

He who blesses his neighbor with a gadawal (very great/important/mighty) qawal (sound / voice) shakam (early) in the shakam (morning), it will be taken as a qalalah (curse) by him.

A tarad (continual) dalap (dropping) on a sagarayad (rainy) yawam (day) and a madawan (contentious) ayashah (woman / wife) are alike:

Restraining her is like restraining the rawach (spirit / wind), or like grasping shaman (oil) in his right yamayan (right hand).

Barazal (iron) chadad (sharpens) barazal (iron); so a ayash (man / husband) chadad (sharpens) his rai (neigbor/another person) panayam (face).

Whoever tends the thaan (fig) tree shall akal (eat) its paray (fruit). He who shamar (keep/guard) after his adawan (master / lord) shall be honored.

As mayam (Waters) reflects a panayam (face), so a adam (man's) lab (heart) reflects the adam (man).

Shaawal (Sheol / afterlife) and Abaddon are laa (NOT) shabai (satisfied); and a adam (man's) iyanay (eyes) are never shabai (satisfied).

The crucible is for kasap (silver), and the kawar (furnace) for zahab (gold); but ayash (man / husband) is refined by his mahalal (praise).

Though you grind a awayal (fool) in a makathash (mortar) with a ilay (went up) along with grain, yet his awalath (foolishness) will not be sawar (removed) from him.

Yadai (know) well the panayam (face) of your tzaan (flocks), and pay attention to your idarayam (herds):

For riches are not iwalam (eternity), nor does even the nazar (crown / consecrate) endure to all dawar (generation / age / period).

The chatzayar (hay) is removed, and the new growth raah (see / saw), the grasses of the harayam (hills) are asap (gathered) in.

The kabashayam (lambs) are for your labawash (clothing), and the ithawadayam (goats) are the machayar (price) of a shadah (field).

There will be plenty of izayam (goats)’ chalab (milk) for your lacham (food), for your bayath (house) lacham (food), and for the nourishment of your nairah (servant) girls.
