Ecclesiastes 1 — Novel English Bible

The dabaray (words) of the qahalath (preacher), the ban (son) of Dawad (David), malak (king) in Yarawashalam (Yarawashalam / Jerusalem):

“Habal (vanity) of habalayam (vanities),” amar (said) the qahalath (preacher); “habal (vanity) of habalayam (vanities), all is habal (vanity).”

What does adam (man) gain from all his imal (labor) in which he imal (labors) under the shamash (sun)?

One dawar (generation / age / period) halak (move), and another dawar (generation / age / period) bawaa (bring); but the aratz (Earth/land) imad (remains) iwalam (eternity).

The shamash (sun) also zarach (rises), and the shamash (sun) bawaa (bring) down, and hurries to its maqawam (place) where it zarach (rises).

The rawach (spirit / wind) halak (move) toward the darawam (south), and sabab (turns) around to the tzapawan (north). It sabab (turns) around halak (move) as it goes, and the rawach (spirit / wind) shawab (turn) again to its courses.

All the nachalayam (rivers) halak (move) into the yam (sea/waters), yet the yam (sea/waters) is not malaa (full). To the maqawam (place) where the nachalayam (rivers) flow, there they flow again.

All things are yagai (full) of weariness beyond dabar (word / matter). The iyan (eye) is not shabai (satisfied) with seeing, nor the azan (ear) shabai (filled) with shamai (hearken / hear).

That which ishah (make) been is that which shall be; and that which has been done is that which shall be ishah (make): and there is no chadash (new) thing under the shamash (sun).

Is there a thing of which it may be amar (said), “raah (see / saw), this is chadash (new)?” It has been long ago, in the ages which were panayam (face) us.

There is no memory of the raashawan (former); neither shall there be any memory of the acharawan (latter) that are to come, among those that shall acharawan (come) after.

I, the qahalath (preacher), was malak (king) over Yashar-Al (Israel) in Yarawashalam (Yarawashalam / Jerusalem).

I nathan (give) my lab (heart) to darash (seek) and to thawar (search) out by chakamah (wisdom) concerning all that is ishah (make) under the sky. It is a rai (heavy) burden that Alahayam () nathan (give) given to the banay (sons) of adam (men) to be inah (oppress / afflict) with.

I raah (see / saw) seen all the maishayam (works) that are ishah (make) under the shamash (sun); and behold, all is habal (vanity) and a chasing after rawach (spirit / wind).

That which is iwath (crooked) can't be made thaqan (straight); and that which is lacking can't be manah (counted).

I dabar (word / matter) to myself, “Behold, I have obtained for myself gadal (great) chakamah (wisdom) above all who were panayam (face) me in Yarawashalam (Yarawashalam / Jerusalem). Yes, my lab (heart) rabah (has) had great raah (see / saw) of chakamah (wisdom) and daith (knowledge).”

I nathan (give) my lab (heart) to yadai (know) chakamah (wisdom), and to yadai (know) hawalalah (madness) and sakalawath (folly). I yadai (perceived) that this also was a chasing after rawach (spirit / wind).

For in much chakamah (wisdom) is much kais (grief); and he who yasap (increases) daith (knowledge) yasap (increases) makaab (sorrow).
