Ecclesiastes 3 — Novel English Bible

For everything there is a zaman (season), and a zaman (time) for every chapatz (purpose) under shamayam (Shamayam / Heavens):

A ith (time) to be yalad (birth / begot), and a ith (time) to mawath (death); a ith (time) to natai (plant), and a ith (time) to iqar (pluck) up that which is natai (planted);

A ith (time) to harag (kill), and a ith (time) to rapaa (heal); a ith (time) to paratz (break) down, and a ith (time) to banah (build) up;

A ith (time) to bakah (weep), and a ith (time) to shachaq (laugh); a ith (time) to sapad (mourn), and a ith (time) to raqad (dance);

A ith (time) to shalak (cast) away abanayam (stones), and a ith (time) to kanas (gather) abanayam (stones) together; a ith (time) to chabaq (embrace), and a ith (time) to rachaq (refrain) from chabaq (embracing);

A ith (time) to baqash (seek), and a ith (time) to abad (destroy / perish); a ith (time) to shamar (keep/guard), and a ith (time) to shalak (cast) away;

A ith (time) to qarai (tear), and a ith (time) to thapar (sew); a ith (time) to chashah (keep) silence, and a ith (time) to dabar (word / matter);

A ith (time) to ahab (love), and a ith (time) to shanaa (hate); a ith (time) for malachamah (war), and a ith (time) for shalawam (peace / safety).

What yatharawan (profit) has he who ishah (make) in that in which he imal (labors)?

I raah (see) seen the burden which Alahayam () nathan (give) given to the banay (sons) of adam (men) to be inah (oppress / afflict) with.

He ishah (make) made everything yapah (beautiful) in its ith (time). He nathan (give) also set eternity in their lab (heart), yet so that adam (man) can't matzaa (find) out the maishah (work) that Alahayam () has done from the raash (head) even to the sawap (end).

I yadai (know) that there is nothing tawab (good / proper function) for them than to shamach (rejoice), and to ishah (make) tawab (good / proper function) as long as they chay (life).

Also that every adam (man) should akal (eat) and shathah (drinks), and raah (see) tawab (good / proper function) in all his imal (labor), is the mathath (gift) of Alahayam ().

I yadai (know) that whatever Alahayam () ishah (make), it shall be iwalam (forever). Ayan (NO ONE) can be yasap (added) to it, nor anything taken from it; and Alahayam () ishah (make) done it, that men should yaraa (fear / be afraid) panayam (face) him.

That which is has been long ago, and that which is to be has been long ago: and Alahayam () baqash (seeks) again that which is passed away.

Moreover I raah (see / saw) under the shamash (sun), in the maqawam (place) of mashapat (justice), that rashai (wickedness) was there; and in the maqawam (place) of tzadaq (righteous / just / fair), that rashai (wickedness) was there.

I amar (spoke) in my lab (heart), “Alahayam () will shapat (judge / judgement) the tzadayaq (righteous) and the rashai (wicked); for there is a ith (time) there for every chapatz (purpose) and for every maishah (work).”

I amar (spoke) in my lab (heart), “As for the banay (sons) of adam (men), Alahayam () tests them, so that they may raah (see) that they themselves are like animals.

For that which happens to the banay (my son) of adam (men) happens to animals. Even achad (one) thing happens to them. As the one mawath (death), so the other mawath (death). Yes, they have all achad (one) rawach (spirit / wind); and adam (man) has no advantage over the animals: for all is habal (vanity).

All halak (move) to achad (one) maqawam (place). All are from the ipar (dust), and all shawab (turn) to ipar (dust) again.

Who yadai (knows) the rawach (spirit / wind) of ban (son), whether it ilah (go up / offer) upward, and the rawach (spirit / wind) of the animal, whether it yarad (goes) matah (downward) to the aratz (Earth/land)?”

Therefore I raah (see / saw) that there is nothing tawab (good / proper function), than that a adam (man) should shamach (rejoice) in his maishah (works); for that is his chalaq (portion): for who can bawaa (bring) him to raah (see / saw) what will be achar (other) him?
