Isaiah 10 — Novel English Bible

Haway (Alas/Woe!) To those who chaqaq (lawgiver) awan (unrighteous) chaqaqay (decrees), and to the writers who kathab (write) oppressive decrees;

To deprive the dal (needy) from dayan (judge), and to gazal (rob) the inay (poor) among my im (nation / people) of their mashapat (rights), that alamanawath (widows) may be their shalal (spoil), and that they may make the yathawam (fatherless) their bazaz (prey)!

What will you ishah (make) in the yawam (day) of paqadah (visitation), and in the shawaa (vanity) which will bawaa (bring) from afar? To whom will you nawas (flee) for izarah (help)? Where will you izab (leave) your wealth?

They will only karai (bow) down under the asayar (prisoners), and will napal (fall / be cast down) under the harag (kill). For all this his ap (nostril / picture: bull snorting) is not shawab (turn) away, but his yad (hand) is natah (stretched) out still.

Alas Ashawar (Assyrian), the shabat (rod) of my ap (nostril / picture: bull snorting), the matah (staff / rod / tribe) in whose yad (hand) is my zaim (indignation)!

I will shalach (send) him against a profane gaway (heathen / nation), and against the im (nation / people) who ibarah (anger) me will I give him a tzawah (command) to take the shalal (spoil) and to bazaz (take) the baz (prey), and to shawam (place / establish / appoint) them down like the chamar (mire) of the chawatzawath (streets).

However he doesn't damah (mean) so, neither does his labab (heart) chashab (think) so; but it is in his labab (heart) to shamad (destroy), and to karath (cut) off not a mait (few) gawayam (heathen).

For he amar (said), “Aren't yachad (all) of my shar (prince / ruler) malakayam (kings)?

Isn't Kalanah (Calno) like Karakamayash (Carchemish)? Isn't Chamath (Hamath) like Arapad (Arpad)? Isn't Shamarawan (Samaria) like Damashaq (Damascus)?”

As my yad (hand) matzaa (has) found the mamalakath (kingdoms) of the alayal (idols), whose engraved pasayal (images) exceeded those of Yarawashalam (Yarawashalam / Jerusalem) and of Shamarawan (Samaria);

Shall I not, as I ishah (make) done to Shamarawan (Samaria) and her alayal (idols), so ishah (make) to Yarawashalam (Yarawashalam / Jerusalem) and her itzab (idols)?

Therefore it will happen that, when the Adanay () has batzai (performed) his whole maishah (work) on har (mountain) Tzayawan (Zion) and on Yarawashalam (Jerusalem), I will paqad (visit) the paray (fruit) of the willful proud labab (heart) of the malak (king) of Ashawar (Assyria), and the insolence of his haughty iyan (eye).

For he has amar (said), “By the kach (strength / mighty / power) of my yad (hand) I ishah (make) done it, and by my chakamah (wisdom); for I have chakamah (understanding): and I have sawar (removed) the boundaries of the imayam (peoples), and have shasah (robbed) their treasures. Like a abayar (valiant) man I have yarad (brought) down their yawashabayam (rulers).

My yad (hand) matzaa (has) found the riches of the imayam (peoples) like a qan (nest), and like one asap (gathers) bayatzayam (eggs) that are abandoned, have I asap (gathered) all the aratz (Earth/land). There was no one who nadad (moved) their kanap (wing), or that patzah (opened) their pah (mouth), or chirped.”

Should an axe brag against him who chops with it? Should a mashawar (saw) exalt itself above him who saws with it? As if a shabat (rod) should nawap (lift) those who rawam (will lift up) it up, or as if a matah (staff / rod / tribe) should rawam (will lift up) up someone who is not itz (wood).

Therefore the Adawan (), Yahawah () of tzabaawath (armies), will shalach (send) among his mashaman (fat) ones razawan (leanness); and under his kabawad (glory) a yaqawad (burning) will be yaqad (kindled) like the burning of ash (fire).

The awar (light) of Yashar-Al (Israel) will be for a ash (fire), and his qadawash (holy) One for a lahabah (flame); and it will bair (burn) and akal (eat) his shayath (thorns) and his shamayar (briers) in achad (one) yawam (day).

He will kalah (complete / finish) the kabawad (glory) of his yair (forest), and of his karamal (fruitful) field, both napash (soul) and bashar (flesh). It will be as when a standard bearer masas (faints).

The shaar (remnant) of the itz (trees) of his yair (forest) shall be masapar (few), so that a nair (child) could kathab (write) their number.

It will come to pass in that yawam (day) that the shaar (remnant) of Yashar-Al (Israel), and those who have palayatah (escaped) from the bayath (house) of Yaiqab (Jacob) will no more again shain (lean) on him who nakah (struck) them, but shall shain (lean) on Yahawah (), the qadawash (holy) One of Yashar-Al (Israel), in amath (truth).

A shaar (remnant) will shawab (turn), even the shaar (remnant) of Yaiqab (Jacob - Patriarch), to the gabawar (mighty) Al.

For though your im (nation / people), Yashar-Al (Israel), are like the chawal (sand) of the yam (sea/waters), only a shaar (remnant) of them will shawab (turn). A destruction is charatz (determined), shatap (overflowing) with tzadaqah (righteousness).

For the Adanay (), Yahawah () of tzabaawath (armies), will ishah (make) a kalah (complete / finish) end, and that charatz (determined), in the qarab (among / near) of all the aratz (Earth/land).

Therefore the Adanay (), Yahawah () of tzabaawath (armies), amar (spoke) “My im (nation / people) who yashab (inhabit/dwell) in Tzayawan (Zion), don't be yaraa (fear / be afraid) of the Ashawar (Assyrian), though he nakah (strike) you with the shabat (rod), and nashaa (lift) up his matah (staff / rod / tribe) against you, as Matzarayam (Egypt) did.

For yet a very mait (little) while, and the zaim (indignation) against you will be kalah (complete / finish), and my ap (nostril / picture: bull snorting) will be directed to his thabalayath (destruction).”

Yahawah () of tzabaawath (armies) will iwar (rouse / awaken) up a shawat (scourge) against him, as in the makah (slaughter) of Madayan (Midian) at the tzawar (rock) of Irab (Oreb). His matah (staff / rod / tribe) will be over the yam (sea/waters), and he will nashaa (lift) it up like he did against Matzarayam (Egypt).

It will happen in that yawam (day), that his sabal (burden) will sawar (depart) from off your shakam (shoulder), and his il (over) from off your tzawaar (neck), and the il (over) shall be chabal (destroyed) panayam (face) of the anointing shaman (oil).

He bawaa (bring) come to Iy (Aiath). He ibar (pass over/through) passed through Magarawan (Migron). At Makamas (Michmash) he stores his baggage.

They ibar (pass over/through) gone over the maibar (pass). They have taken up their malawan (lodging) at Gabai (Geba). Ramah (Ramah) charad (trembles). Gabaih (Gibeah) of Shaawal (Sheol / afterlife) has nawas (fled).

Qawal (sound / voice) tzahal (aloud) with your qawal (sound / voice), banath (daughter) of Galayam (Gallim)! Listen, Laishah! You inay (poor) Inathawath (Anathoth)!

Madamanah (Madmenah) is a fugitive. The yashabay (inhabitants) of Gabayam (Gebim) iwaz (flee) for safety.

This very yawam (day) he will halt at Nab (Nob). He nawap (shakes) his yad (hand) at the har (mountain) of the banath (daughter) of Tzayawan (Zion), the gabaih (hill) of Yarawashalam (Jerusalem).

Behold, the Adawan (), Yahawah () of tzabaawath (armies), will lop the paarah (boughs) with mairatzah (terror). The qawamah (tall) will be gadai (cut) down, and the gabah (lofty) will be brought low.

He will naqap (cut) down the sabakay (thickets) of the yair (forest) with barazal (iron), and Labanawan (Lebanon) will napal (fall / be cast down) by the adayar (mighty) One.
