Isaiah 21 — Novel English Bible

The mashaa (burden) of the madabar (wilderness) of the yam (sea/waters). As sawapawath (whirlwinds) in the nagab (south) sweep through, it bawaa (bring) from the madabar (wilderness), from an awesome aratz (Earth/land).

A qashah (rough / hard) chazawath (vision) is nagad (declared) to me. The treacherous bagad (man) bagad (deals) treacherously, and the shadad (destroyer) shadad (destroys). Ilah (go up / offer) up, Iyalam (Elam); attack! I have stopped all of Maday (Media's) anachah (sighing).

Therefore my thighs are malaa (filled) with anguish. Chalachalah (pains) achaz (have) taken hold on me, like the tzayarayam (pains) of a yalad (birth / begot) in labor. I am in so much pain that I can't shamai (hearken / hear). I so am bahal (dismayed) that I can't raah (see / saw).

My labab (heart) flutters. Palatzawath (horror) has frightened me. The nashap (twilight) that I chashaq (desired) has been shawam (place / establish / appoint) into charadah (trembling) for me.

They irak (prepare) the shalachan (table). They irak (set) the watch. They akal (eat). They shathah (drinks). Qawam (rise up) up, you sharayam (princes), mashach (oil) the magan (shield)!

For the Adanay () amar (spoke) to me, “yalak (go), imad (set) a tzapah (watchman / keep watch). Let him nagad (declare) what he raah (see).

When he raah (see / saw) a troop, horsemen in pairs, a troop of donkeys, a troop of gamal (camels), he shall listen qashab (diligently) with rab (great) attentiveness.”

He qaraa (called) like a aray (lion): “Adanay (), I imad (stand) continually on the watchtower in the yawamam (by day), and every layal (night) I stay at my post.

Behold, here bawaa (come) a troop of ayash (man / husband), horsemen in pairs.” He inah (answer / respond), “napal (fall / be cast down), napal (fall / be cast down) is Babal (Babylon); and all the engraved pasayalay (images) of her Alahayam () are shabar (broken) to the aratz (Earth/land).

You are my madashah (threshing), and the grain of my garan (floor)!” That which I have shamai (hearken / hear) from Yahawah () of tzabaawath (armies), the Alahayam () of Yashar-Al (Israel), I have nagad (declared) to you.

The mashaa (burden) of Dawamah (Dumah). One qaraa (called) to me out of Shaiyar (Seir), “shamar (keep/guard), what of the layal (night)? Shamar (keep/guard), what of the layal (night)?”

The shamar (keep/guard) amar (said), “The baqar (morning) athayaw (comes), and also the layal (night). If you will baih (inquire), baih (inquire). Athah (you (masc)) shawab (turn) again.”

The mashaa (burden) on Irab (evening). In the yair (forest) in Irab (evening) you will lawan (lodge), you caravans of Dedanites.

They athah (you (masc)) mayam (Waters) to him who was thirsty. The yashabay (inhabitants) of the aratz (Earth/land) of Thayamaa (Tema) qadam (met) the fugitives with their lacham (bread).

For they nadad (fled) away from the charabawath (swords), from the natash (drawn) charab (sword), from the bent qashath (bow), and from the heat of malachamah (battle).

For the Adanay () amar (spoke) to me, “Within a shanah (year), as a worker bound by contract would count it, all the kabawad (glory) of Qadar (Kedar) will kalah (complete / finish),

And the shaar (residue) of the masapar (number) of the qashath (archers), the gabawar (mighty) men of the banay (children) of Qadar (Kedar), will be mait (few); for Yahawah (), the Alahayam () of Yashar-Al (Israel), has dabar (word / matter) it.”
