Jeremiah 11 — Novel English Bible

The dabar (word / matter) that came to Yaramayah (Jeremiah) from Yahawah (), amar (spoke),

“Shamai (hearken / hear) the dabaray (words) of this barayath (covenant), and dabar (word / matter) to the ayash (man / husband) of Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah), and to the yashabay (inhabitants) of Yarawashalam (Yarawashalam / Jerusalem);

And amar (spoke) to them, Thus amar (spoke) Yahawah (), the Alahayam () of Yashar-Al (Israel): ‘arar (cursed) is the ayash (man / husband) who doesn't shamai (hearken / hear) the dabaray (words) of this barayath (covenant),

Which I tzawah (commanded) your ab (father) in the yawam (day) that I yatzaa (go out / come out) them forth out of the aratz (Earth/land) of Matzarayam (Egypt), out of the barazal (iron) kawar (furnace),’ amar (spoke), ‘shamai (hearken / hear) my qawal (sound / voice), and ishah (make) them, according to all which I tzawah (command) you: so you shall be my im (nation / people), and I will be your Alahayam ();

That I may qawam (rise up) the shabawaih (oath) which I shabai (swear / take oath) to your ab (father), to nathan (give) them a aratz (Earth/land) zawab (flow) with chalab (milk) and dabash (honey),’ as at this yawam (day).” Then inah (answer / respond) I, and amar (spoke), “aman (believe / have faith), Yahawah ().”

Yahawah () amar (spoke) to me, “qaraa (called) all these dabarayam (words) in the iray (cities) of Yahawadah (Judah), and in the chatzawath (streets) of Yarawashalam (Jerusalem), amar (spoke), ‘shamai (hearken / hear) the dabarayam (words) of this barayath (covenant), and ishah (make) them.

For I iwad (admonish/bear witness against) iwad (admonish/bear witness against) to your ab (father) in the yawam (day) that I ilah (go up / offer) them up out of the aratz (Earth/land) of Matzarayam (Matzarayam / Egypt), even to this yawam (day), shakam (rising) early and iwad (admonish/bear witness against), amar (said), “shamai (hearken / hear) my qawal (sound / voice).”

Yet they didn't shamai (hearken / hear), nor natah (turn) their azan (ear), but yalak (walked) everyone in the stubbornness of their rai (evil) lab (heart): therefore I bawaa (bring) on them all the dabaray (words) of this barayath (covenant), which I tzawah (commanded) them to ishah (make), but they didn't ishah (make) them.’”

Yahawah () amar (spoke) to me, “A qashar (conspiracy) is matzaa (found) among the ayash (man / husband) of Yahawadah (Judah), and among the yashabay (inhabitants) of Yarawashalam (Jerusalem).

They are shawab (turn back / repent) back to the iwanath (iniquities) of their raashanayam (forefathers), who maan (refused) to shamai (hearken / hear) my dabar (word / matter); and they are halak (move) achar (other) other Alahayam () to ibad (servant) them: the bayath (house) of Yashar-Al (Israel) and the bayath (house) of Yahawadah (Judah) have parar (broken) my barayath (covenant) which I karath (cut) with their ab (father).

Therefore thus amar (spoke) Yahawah (), ‘Behold, I will bawaa (come) rai (evil) on them, which they shall not be yakal (able) to yatzaa (go out / come out); and they shall zaiq (cry) to me, but I will not shamai (hearken / hear) to them.

Then shall the iray (cities) of Yahawadah (Judah) and the yashabay (inhabitants) of Yarawashalam (Jerusalem) halak (move) and zaiq (cry) to the Alahayam () to which they qatar (offer) incense: but they will not yashai (salvation) them at yashai (salvation) in the ith (time) of their rai (trouble).

For according to the masapar (number) of your iyar (cities) are your Alahayam (), Yahawadah (Judah); and according to the masapar (number) of the chatzawath (streets) of Yarawashalam (Jerusalem) have you shawam (place / establish / appoint) up mazabachawath (altars) to the shameful thing, even mazabachawath (altars) to qatar (burn) incense to Bail (Baal).’

“Therefore don't palal (pray) for this im (nation / people), neither nashaa (lift) up ranah (cry) nor thapalah (prayer) for them; for I will not shamai (hearken / hear) them in the ith (time) that they qaraa (called) to me because of their rai (trouble).

What has my yadayad (beloved) to do in my bayath (house), since she ishah (make) worked mazamah (lewdness) with many, and the qadash (set apart / make holy) bashar (flesh) is ibar (pass over/through) from you? When you do rai (evil), then you ilaz (rejoice).”

Yahawah () qaraa (called) your sham (name), “A rainan (green) zayath (olive) tree, yapah (beautiful) with thaar (goodly) paray (fruit):” with the qawal (sound / voice) of a gadawal (very great/important/mighty) hamalah (tumult) he has yatzath (kindled) ash (fire) on it, and its branches are raii (wicked / dysfunctional / evil).

For Yahawah () of tzabaawath (armies), who natai (planted) you, has dabar (word / matter) rai (evil) against you, galal (because) of the rai (evil) of the bayath (house) of Yashar-Al (Israel) and of the bayath (house) of Yahawadah (Judah), which they ishah (make) worked for themselves in provoking me to kais (anger) by qatar (offering) incense to Bail (Baal).

Yahawah () gave me yadai (knowledge) of it, and I yadai (knew) it: then you showed me their mailal (doings).

But I was like a gentle kabash (lamb) that is yabal (led) to the tabach (slaughter); and I didn't yadai (know) that they had chashab (devised) machashabawath (devices) against me, saying, “Let us shachath (destroy) the itz (tree) with its lacham (fruit), and let us karath (cut) him off from the aratz (Earth/land) of the chay (life), that his sham (name) may be no more zakar (remember).”

But, Yahawah () of tzabaawath (armies), who shapat (judge / judgement) righteously, who tests the kalayah (heart) and the lab (heart), I shall raah (see) your naqamah (vengeance) on them; for to you have I galah (revealed) my rayab (cause).

“Therefore thus amar (spoke) Yahawah () concerning the anashay (men) of Inathawath (Anathoth), who baqash (seek) your napash (soul), amar (spoke), ‘You shall not nabaa (prophesy) in the sham (name) of Yahawah (), that you not mawath (death) by our yad (hand);’

Therefore thus amar (spoke) Yahawah () of tzabaawath (armies), ‘Behold, I will paqad (visit) them: the bachawar (young) men shall mawath (death) by the charab (sword); their ban (son) and their banath (daughter) shall mawath (death) by raib (famine);

And there shall be no shaarayath (remnant) to them: for I will bawaa (bring) rai (evil) on the rai (men) of Inathawath (Anathoth), even the shanah (year) of their paqadah (visitation).’”
