1 Yahawah () showed me, and behold, shanayam (two) dawadaay (baskets) of thaanayam (figs) yaid (set) panayam (face) the hayakal (temple) of Yahawah (), achar (other) that Nabawakadanaatzar (Nebuchadnezzar) malak (king) of Babal (Babylon) had galah (carried) away captive Yakanayah (Jeconiah) the ban (son) of Yahawayaqayam (Jehoiakim), malak (king) of Yahawadah (Judah), and the sharay (princes) of Yahawadah (Judah), with the craftsmen and masagar (smiths), from Yarawashalam (Jerusalem), and bawaa (come) brought them to Babal (Babylon).
2 Achad (one) dawad (basket) had very tawab (good / proper function) thaanayam (figs), like the thaanayam (figs) that are bakarah (first-ripe); and the other dawad (basket) had very rai (bad) thaanayam (figs), which could not be akal (eat), they were so rai (bad).
3 Then Yahawah () amar (spoke) to me, “What do you raah (see), Yaramayah (Jeremiah)?” I amar (spoke), “thaanayam (figs); the tawab (good / proper function) thaanayam (figs), very tawab (good / proper function); and the rai (bad), very rai (bad), that can't be akal (eat), they are so rai (bad).”
4 The dabar (word / matter) of Yahawah () came to me, amar (spoke),
5 “Thus amar (spoke) Yahawah (), the Alahayam () of Yashar-Al (Israel): ‘Like these tawab (good / proper function) thaanayam (figs), so will I nakar (regard) the galawath (captives) of Yahawadah (Judah), whom I have shalach (send) out of this maqawam (place) into the aratz (Earth/land) of the Kashaday (Chaldeans), for tawab (good / proper function).
6 For I will shawam (place / establish / appoint) my iyan (eye) on them for tawab (good / proper function), and I will shawab (turn) them again to this aratz (Earth/land): and I will banah (build) them, and not haras (pull) them down; and I will natai (plant) them, and not nathash (pluck) them up.
7 I will nathan (give) them a lab (heart) to yadai (know) me, that I am Yahawah (): and they shall be my im (nation / people), and I will be their Alahayam (); for they shall shawab (turn back / repent) to me with their whole lab (heart).
8 “‘As the rai (bad) thaanayam (figs), which can't be akal (eat), they are so rai (bad),’ surely thus amar (spoke) Yahawah (), ‘So will I nathan (give) up Tzadaqayah (Zedekiah) the malak (king) of Yahawadah (Judah), and his shar (prince / ruler), and the shaarayath (residue) of Yarawashalam (Jerusalem), who shaar (remain) in this aratz (Earth/land), and those who yashab (inhabit/dwell) in the aratz (Earth/land) of Matzarayam (Egypt),
9 I will even nathan (give) them up to be tossed back and forth among all the mamalakawath (kingdoms) of the aratz (Earth/land) for rai (evil); to be a charapah (reproach) and a mashal (proverb), a shanayanah (taunt) and a qalalah (curse), in all maqamawath (places) where I shall nadach (drive) them.
10 I will shalach (send) the charab (sword), the raib (famine), and the dabar (word / matter), among them, until they be thamam (consumed) from off the adamah (land) that I nathan (give) to them and to their ab (father).’”
