Jeremiah 32 — Novel English Bible

The dabar (word / matter) that came to Yaramayah (Jeremiah) from Yahawah () in the ishayaray (tenth) shanah (year) of Tzadaqayah (Zedekiah) malak (king) of Yahawadah (Judah), which was the eighteenth shanah (year) of Nabawakadanaatzar (Nebuchadnezzar).

Now at that time the malak (king) of Babal (Babylon's) chayal (wealth / substance / capability / valor) was tzawar (besieging) Yarawashalam (Yarawashalam / Jerusalem); and Yaramayah (Jeremiah) the nabayaa (prophet/prophecy) was kalaa (shut) up in the chatzar (court) of the guard, which was in the malak (king) of Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah) bayath (house).

For Tzadaqayah (Zedekiah) malak (king) of Yahawadah (Judah) had kalaa (shut) him up, amar (spoke), “Why do you nabaa (prophesy), and amar (spoke), ‘Thus amar (spoke) Yahawah (), “Behold, I will nathan (give) this iyar (city) into the yad (hand) of the malak (king) of Babal (Babylon), and he shall lakad (take) it;

And Tzadaqayah (Zedekiah) malak (king) of Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah) shall not malat (escape) out of the yad (hand) of the Kashaday (Chaldeans), but shall nathan (give) be nathan (give) into the yad (hand) of the malak (king) of Babal (Babylon), and shall dabar (word / matter) with him pah (mouth) to pah (mouth), and his iyan (eye) shall raah (see / saw) his iyan (eye);

And he shall yalak (bring) Tzadaqayah (Zedekiah) to Babal (Babylon), and he shall be there until I paqad (visit) him,” naam (declares prophetically) Yahawah (): “though you lacham (fight) with the Kashaday (Chaldeans), you shall not tzalach (prosper)?”’”

Yaramayah (Jeremiah) amar (spoke), “The dabar (word / matter) of Yahawah () came to me, amar (spoke),

‘Behold, Chanamaal (Hanamel) the ban (son) of Shalawam (peace / safety) your dawad (uncle) shall bawaa (bring) to you, amar (said), “qanah (buy) my shadah (field) that is in Inathawath (Anathoth); for the mashapat (right) of gaalah (redemption) is yours to qanah (buy) it.”’”

“So Chanamaal (Hanamel) my dawad (uncle's) ban (son) bawaa (come) to me in the chatzar (court) of the guard according to the dabar (word / matter) of Yahawah (), and amar (spoke) to me, ‘Please qanah (buy) my shadah (field) that is in Inathawath (Anathoth), which is in the aratz (Earth/land) of Banayamayan (Benjamin); for the mashapat (right) of yarashah (inheritance) is yours, and the gaalah (redemption) is yours; qanah (buy) it for yourself.’ “Then I yadai (knew) that this was the dabar (word / matter) of Yahawah ().

I bought the shadah (field) that was in Inathawath (Anathoth) of Chanamaal (Hanamel) my dawad (uncle's) ban (son), and shaqal (weighed) him the kasap (money), even seventeen shaqalayam (shekels) of kasap (silver).

I kathab (write) the deed, and chatham (sealed) it, and iwad (admonish/bear witness against) witnesses, and shaqal (weighed) him the kasap (money) in the maazanayam (balances).

So I laqach (take / seize) the deed of the maqanah (purchase), both that which was chatham (sealed), containing the terms and conditions, and that which was galah (open);

And I nathan (give) the deed of the maqanah (purchase) to Barawak (blessed be) the ban (son) of Narayah (Neriah), the ban (son) of Machasayah (Mahseiah), in the iyan (eye) of Chanamaal (Hanamel) my dawad (uncle's) son, and in the iyan (eye) of the witnesses who kathab (write) the deed of the maqanah (purchase), iyan (eye) all the Yahawaday (Jews) who yashab (inhabit/dwell) in the chatzar (court) of the guard.

“I tzawah (commanded) Barawak (blessed be) iyan (eye) them, amar (said),

Thus amar (spoke) Yahawah () of tzabaawath (armies), the Alahayam () of Yashar-Al (Israel): ‘laqach (take / seize) these deeds, this deed of the maqanah (purchase) which is chatham (sealed), and this deed which is galah (open), and nathan (give) them in an charash (earthen) kalay (vessel); that they may imad (continue) many yamayam (days).’

For thus amar (spoke) Yahawah () of tzabaawath (armies), the Alahayam () of Yashar-Al (Israel): ‘bathayam (houses) and shadawath (fields) and karamayam (vineyards) shall yet again be bought in this aratz (Earth/land).’

Now achar (other) I nathan (give) delivered the deed of the maqanah (purchase) to Barawak (Baruch) the ban (son) of Narayah (Neriah), I palal (prayed) to Yahawah (), amar (spoke),

“Ahah (ah) Adanay () Yahawah ()! Behold, you ishah (make) made the shamayam (Shamayam / Heavens) and the aratz (Earth/land) by your gadawal (very great/important/mighty) kach (strength / mighty / power) and by your natah (outstretched) zarawai (arm); there is nothing palaa (be wonderful / extraordinary / marvelous) hard for you,

Who show loving chasad (grace) to alapayam (thousands), and shalam (recompense) the iwan (guilt/iniquity) of the abawath (fathers) into the chayaq (bosom) of their ban (son) achar (other) them; the gadawal (very great/important/mighty), the gabawar (mighty) Al, Yahawah () of tzabaawath (armies) is his sham (name);

Gadawal (very great/important/mighty) in itzah (counsel), and rab (mighty) in ilayalayah (work); whose iyan (eye) are paqach (open) on all the darakay (ways) of the banay (my son) of adam (men), to nathan (give) everyone according to his darakay (ways), and according to the paray (fruit) of his mailal (doings):

Who performed athawath (signs) and mapathayam (wonders) in the aratz (Earth/land) of Matzarayam (Matzarayam / Egypt), even to this yawam (day), both in Yashar-Al (Israel) and among other adam (men); and ishah (make) yourself a sham (name), as in this yawam (day);

And yatzaa (go out / come out) forth your im (nation / people) Yashar-Al (Israel) out of the aratz (Earth/land) of Matzarayam (Matzarayam / Egypt) with athawath (signs), and with mawapathayam (wonders), and with a chazaq (strong) yad (hand), and with an outstretched azarawai (arm), and with gadawal (very great/important/mighty) mawaraa (terror);

And nathan (give) them this aratz (Earth/land), which you shabai (swear / take oath) to their ab (father) to nathan (give) them, a aratz (Earth/land) zawab (flow) with chalab (milk) and dabash (honey);

And they bawaa (bring) in, and yarash (possessed) it, but they didn't shamai (hearken / hear) your qawal (sound / voice), neither halak (move) in your thawarah (Torah / Instruction); they ishah (make) done nothing of all that you tzawah (commanded) them to ishah (make): therefore you have caused all this rai (evil) to qaraa (called) on them.

“Behold, the mounds, they bawaa (bring) come to the iyar (city) to lakad (take) it; and the iyar (city) is nathan (give) into the yad (hand) of the Kashaday (Chaldeans) who lacham (fight) panayam (face) it, because of the charab (sword), and of the raib (famine), and of the dabar (word / matter); and what you have dabar (word / matter) raah (see / saw) happened; and behold, you see it.

You have amar (spoke) to me, Adanay () Yahawah (), ‘qanah (buy) the shadah (field) for kasap (money), and iwad (admonish/bear witness against) witnesses;’ whereas the iyar (city) is nathan (give) into the yad (hand) of the Kashaday (Chaldeans).”

Then came the dabar (word / matter) of Yahawah () to Yaramayah (Jeremiah), amar (spoke),

“Behold, I am Yahawah (), the Alahayam () of all bashar (flesh): is there anything palaa (be wonderful / extraordinary / marvelous) hard for me?

Therefore thus amar (spoke) Yahawah (): Behold, I will nathan (give) this iyar (city) into the yad (hand) of the Kashaday (Chaldeans), and into the yad (hand) of Nabawakadanaatzar (Nebuchadnezzar) malak (king) of Babal (Babylon), and he shall lakad (take) it:

And the Kashaday (Chaldeans), who lacham (fight) against this iyar (city), shall bawaa (come) and yatzath (set) this iyar (city) on ash (fire), and sharap (burn) it, with the bathayam (houses), on whose gag (roofs) they have qatar (offered) incense to Bail (Baal), and nasak (poured) out drink nasakayam (offerings) to other Alahayam (), to provoke me to kais (anger).

“For the banay (children) of Yashar-Al (Israel) and the banay (children) of Yahawadah (Judah) ishah (make) done only that which was rai (evil) in my iyan (eye) from their naiwar (youth); for the banay (children) of Yashar-Al (Israel) have only provoked me to kais (anger) with the maishah (work) of their yad (hand), naam (declares prophetically) Yahawah ().

For this iyar (city) has been to me a provocation of my ap (nostril / picture: bull snorting) and of my chamah (wrath) from the yawam (day) that they banah (build) it even to this yawam (day); that I should sawar (remove) it from before my panayam (face),

Because of all the rai (evil) of the banay (my son) of Yashar-Al (Israel) and of the banay (my son) of Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah), which they ishah (make) done to provoke me to kais (anger), they, their malak (king), their shar (prince / ruler), their kahan (priest), and their nabayaa (prophet/prophecy), and the ayash (man / husband) of Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah), and the yashabay (inhabitants) of Yarawashalam (Yarawashalam / Jerusalem).

They have panah (turn) to me the irap (neck), and not the panayam (face): and though I lamad (teach / instruct) them, shakam (rising) up early and lamad (teach / instruct) them, yet they have not shamai (hearken / hear) to laqach (take / seize) mawasar (instruction).

But they shawam (place / establish / appoint) their shaqawatz (abominations) in the bayath (house) which is qaraa (called) by my sham (name), to tamaa (defile) it.

They banah (build) the bamah (high) places of Bail (Baal), which are in the gayaa (valley) of the ban (son) of Hanam (Hinnom), to cause their ban (son) and their banath (daughter) to ibar (pass over/through) through fire to Malak (king); which I didn't tzawah (command) them, neither did it ilah (go up / offer) into my lab (heart), that they should ishah (make) this thawaibah (abomination), to cause Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah) to chataa (sin).”

Now therefore thus amarayam (says) Yahawah (), the Alahayam () of Yashar-Al (Israel), concerning this iyar (city), about which you amar (spoke), “It is nathan (give) into the yad (hand) of the malak (king) of Babal (Babylon) by the charab (sword), and by the raib (famine), and by the dabar (word / matter):”

“Behold, I will qabatz (gather) them out of all the aratzawath (countries), where I have nadach (driven) them in my ap (nostril / picture: bull snorting), and in my chamah (wrath), and in gadawal (very great/important/mighty) qatzap (indignation); and I will shawab (turn) them again to this maqawam (place), and I will yashab (inhabit/dwell) them to dwell safely:

And they shall be my im (nation / people), and I will be their Alahayam ():

And I will nathan (give) them achad (one) lab (heart) and achad (one) darak (way), that they may yaraa (fear / be afraid) me yawam (day), for their tawab (good / proper function), and of their ban (son) achar (other) them:

And I will karath (cut) an iwalam (eternity) barayath (covenant) with them, that I will not shawab (turn) away from achar (other) them, to do them yatab (good); and I will nathan (give) my yaraah (fear) in their labab (hearts), that they may not sawar (depart) from me.

Yes, I will shawash (rejoice) over them to do them tawab (good / proper function), and I will natai (plant) them in this aratz (Earth/land) amath (truth) with my whole lab (heart) and with my whole napash (soul).”

For thus amar (spoke) Yahawah (): “Like as I bawaa (come) brought all this gadawal (very great/important/mighty) rai (evil) on this im (nation / people), so will I bawaa (come) on them all the tawab (good / proper function) that I have dabar (word / matter) them.

Shadah (fields) shall be bought in this aratz (Earth/land), about which you amar (said), ‘It is shamamah (desolate), without adam (man) or animal; it is nathan (give) into the yad (hand) of the Kashaday (Chaldeans).’

Men shall qanah (buy) shadawath (fields) for kasap (money), and kathab (write) the deeds, and chatham (seal) them, and iwad (admonish/bear witness against) witnesses, in the aratz (Earth/land) of Banayamayan (Benjamin), and in the sabayabay (places) about Yarawashalam (Jerusalem), and in the iray (cities) of Yahawadah (Judah), and in the iray (cities) of the har (mountain) country, and in the iray (cities) of the lowland, and in the iray (cities) of the nagab (south): for I will cause their shabawath (captivity) to shawab (turn back / repent), naam (declares prophetically),” Yahawah ().
