2 WaLaa (And not) YaShamai (listened) Hawaa (which/who/that is) WaIbadayaw (and neither his servants), WaIm (and people) HaAratz (the land), Al-Dabaray (to Dabaray) Yahawah (), AsharaYaDabar (who/that he spoke) BaYad (in hand) Yaramayah (Jeremiah) HaNabayaa (the prophet).
3 WaYaShalach (And sent) HaMalak (the king) Tzadaqayah (Zedekiah) Ath (the entirety of) Yahawakal (Jehucal) Ban (son) Shalamayah (Shelemiah), WaAth (and the entirety of) Tzapanayah (Zephaniah) Ban (son) Maishayah (Maaseiah), HaKahan (the priest), Al (to) Yaramayah (Jeremiah), HaNabayaa (the prophet) LaAmar (saying), “HathaPalal ([reflexive] pray now) Naa (Now) Baidanaw (𐤁𐤏𐤃 us) Al (to) Yahawah () Alahayam (God).”
4 WaYaramayah (And now Jeremiah) Bawaa (coming) WaYatzaa (and went out) BaThawak (among) HaIm (the people); WaLaa (And not) Nathanaw (they put) Athaw (the entirety of him) Bayath (house) HaKalayaa (the 𐤊𐤋𐤉𐤀).
5 WaChayal (And army) Paraih (Pharaoh's) YaYatzaa (come forth) YaYatzaa (out) MaMatzarayam (of Egypt); WaYaShamaiw (and heard broke) HaKashaday (the Chaldeans) HaTzawarayam (who besieging - plural) Il (news), Yarawashalam (Jerusalem) Ath-Shamaim (the entirety of their 𐤔𐤌𐤏) WaYaIlahaw (and go up / offer) MaIl (from over) Yarawashalam (Jerusalem).
6 WaYaHayah (And came to pass) Dabar (word / matter) Yahawah () Al (to) Yaramayah (Jeremiah), HaNabayaa (the prophet) LaAmar (saying),
7 “Kah (𐤊𐤄) YaAmar (thus says) Yahawah (), Alahayam (God) Yashar-Al (Israel), Kah (𐤊𐤄) ‘ThaAmaraw (you tell) Al-Malak (to king) Yahawadah (Judah), HaShalach (who sent) Athakam (the entirety of you) Alay (to me) LaDarashay (to me inquire): “Hanah (Behold), Chayal (wealth / substance / capability / valor), Paraih (Pharaoh's) HaYatzaa (which come forth) Lakam (for you) LaIzarah (to help), YaShawab (return) LaAratzaw (his land) Matzarayam (Egypt).
8 WaShawabaw (And come again), HaKashaday (The Chaldeans) WaNaLachamaw (and fight) Il-HaIyar (over this city); HaZaath (this) WaLakadah (and take her), WaSharapah (and burn her) BaAsh (with fire).”’
9 “Kah (𐤊𐤄) YaAmar (thus says) Yahawah (), Al (not) ‘ThaNashaaw (deceive) Napashathayakam (yourselves), LaAmar (saying), Halak (move) YaYalakaw (depart) MaIlayanaw (depart us) “HaKashaday (The Chaldeans);” Kay-Laa (surely NOT) YaYalakaw (Go / Move).
10 KayaAm-HaNakahayatham (Surely although - rhetorical you [causing] struck) Kal (every) Chayal (wealth / substance / capability / valor) Kashaday (Chaldeans) HaNaLachamayam (who fight - plural) Athakam (against you), WaNaShaaraw (and remained) Chayal (wounded men among), Bam (within him them) Ayanashayam (man - plural) MaDaqarayam (𐤃𐤒𐤓 - plural) Ayash (man) BaAhalaw (in his tent), YaQawamaw (rise up) WaSharapaw (and burn) Ath-HaIyar (the entirety of this city) HaZaath (this) BaAsh (with fire).’”
11 WaYaHayah (And came to pass) BaHaIlahawath (in [causing] broken up - plural) Chayal (happened wealth / substance / capability / valor) HaKashaday (the Chaldeans) MaIl (from over) Yarawashalam (Jerusalem) MaPanayam (from fear) Chayal (wealth / substance / capability / valor), Paraih (Pharaoh's)
12 WaYaYatzaa (And went forth) WaYaYatzaa (and out) Yaramayah (Jeremiah) MaYarawashalam (of Jerusalem) LaYalakath (to go) Aratz (Earth/land receive portion) Ban-Yamayan (Benjamin), LaChalaq (𐤇𐤋𐤒) MaSham (from there) BaThawak (in midst) HaIm (the people).
13 WaYaHayah (And came to pass) Hawaa (which/who/that is) BaShair (in gate) Ban-Yamayan (Benjamin), WaSham (and there) Bail (binder / owner / husband) Paqadath (guard), WaShamaw (and his name) Yaraayayah (Irijah), Ban (son) Shalamayah (Shelemiah), Ban (son) Chananayah (Hananiah); WaYaThapash (and he laid hold) Ath (the entirety of) Yaramayah (Jeremiah) HaNabayaa (the prophet), LaAmar (saying), “Al (to) HaKashaday (the Chaldeans) Athah (you) Napal (fall / be cast down).”
14 WaYaAmar (And said), Yaramayah (Jeremiah) “Shaqar (false); Ayananay (NO ONE) Napal (fall / be cast down) Il (over) HaKashaday (the Chaldeans).” WaLaa (And not) YaShamai (he listen); Alayaw (to him) WaYaThapash (and laid hold) Yaraayayah (Irijah) BaYaramayah (on Jeremiah), WaYaBawaaw (and bring / come him) Al-HaSharayam (to brought the princes).
15 WaYaQatzapaw (And angry) HaSharayam (the princes) Il (over) Yaramayah (Jeremiah), WaHaNakahaw (and [causing] struck him), Athaw (the entirety of him) WaNathanaw (and put) Awathaw (the entirety of him) Bayath (house) HaAsawar (the prison) Bayath (house) Yahawanathan (Jonathan) HaSapar (the scribe); Kay-Athaw (surely the entirety of him) Ishahaw (they made) LaBayath (house) HaKalaa (the prison).
16 KayaYaBawaa (Surely come) Yaramayah (Jeremiah) Al-Bayath (to house) HaBawar (the 𐤁𐤅𐤓) WaAl-HaChanawathayawath (and to the house - plural), WaYaYashab (and remained) Sham (cells), Yaramayah (Jeremiah) Yawamayam (many days); Rabayam (Many - plural)
17 Then Tzadaqayah (Zedekiah) HaMalak (the king) WaYaShalach (and sent), WaYaLaqachaw (and fetched him) him: HaMalak (and the king) WaYaShaalaw (and asked him) him secretly BaBayathaw (in his house), WaYaAmar (and said), “Dabar (word / matter) from Yahawah ()?” Yaramayah (Jeremiah) WaYaAmar (and said), “There is.” WaYaAmar (And he said) also, “ThaNaNathan (You shall be delivered) BaYad (into the hand) Malak (king) of Babal (Babylon).”
18 WaYaAmar (And Moreover said) Yaramayah (Jeremiah) Al-HaMalak (to the king) Tzadaqayah (Zedekiah), “Mah (what / why / how) Chataathay (wherein sinned) Lak (against you), WaLaIbadayak (and your servants), WaLaIm (and people), HaZah (this / that / these) Kay-Nathanatham (surely you put) Awathay (the entirety of me) Al-Bayath (to house) HaKalaa (the 𐤊𐤋𐤀)?
19 WaAyaw (And where now) Nabayaayakam (your prophets) Ashar-NaNabaaw (who/that prophesied), Lakam (for you) LaAmar (saying), ‘Laa (NOT) YaBawaa (come) Malak (king) Babal (Babylon) Ilayakam (against you), WaIlaHaAratz (and over this land) HaZaath (this)?’
20 WaIthah (And now / present moment) Shamai (hearken / hear), Naa (Now) Adawan () HaMalak (the king): ThaNapal (you presented) Naa (Now) Thachanahathay (please let my supplication) LaPanayamak (your before), WaAl (and not) ThaShawabay (you me return) Bayath (house) Yahawanathan (Jonathan) HaSapar (the scribe), WaLaa (And not) AMawath (I lest die) Sham (there).”
21 Then Tzadaqayah (Zedekiah) HaMalak (the king) WaYaTzawah (and commanded), WaYaPaqadaw (and they committed) Yaramayah (Jeremiah) BaChatzar (into the court) of the guard; WaNathan (and they gave) LaYawam (him daily) Kakar (Plain) Lacham (bread) out of the bakers’ MaChawatz (from street), HaLacham (until all the bread) HaIyar (in the city) Thamam (was spent). Thus Yaramayah (Jeremiah) WaYaYashab (and remained) BaChatzar (in the court) of the guard.
