2 Then qawam (rise up) Yashamaial (Ishmael) the ban (son) of Nathanayah (Nethaniah), and the ishar (ten) ban (son) who were with him, and nakah (struck) Gadalayah (Gedaliah) the ban (son) of Achayaqam (Ahikam) the ban (son) of Shapan (Shaphan) with the charab (sword), and mawath (death) him, whom the malak (king) of Babal (Babylon) paqad (visit) made governor over the aratz (Earth/land).
3 Yashamaial (Ishmael) also nakah (killed) all the Yahawaday (Jews) who were with him, with Gadalayah (Gedaliah), at Matzapah (Mizpah), and the Kashaday (Chaldeans) who were matzaa (found) there, the anashay (men) of malachamah (war).

6 Yashamaial (Ishmael) the ban (son) of Nathanayah (Nethaniah) yatzaa (go out / come out) forth from Matzapah (Mizpah) to qaraah (meet) them, bakah (weeping) all halak (move) as he halak (move): and it happened, as he pagash (met) them, he amar (said) to them, “bawaa (bring) to Gadalayah (Gedaliah) the ban (son) of Achayaqam (Ahikam).”
7 It was so, when they bawaa (bring) into the thawak (midst) of the iyar (city), that Yashamaial (Ishmael) the ban (son) of Nathanayah (Nethaniah) shachat (killed) them, and cast them into the thawak (midst) of the bawar (pit), he, and the ban (son) who were with him.
8 But ishar (ten) anashayam (men) were matzaa (found) among those who amar (said) to Yashamaial (Ishmael), “Don't mawath (death) us; for we yash (have) stores hidden in the shadah (field), of chatah (wheat), and of shairah (barley), and of shaman (oil), and of dabash (honey).” So he stopped, and didn't mawath (death) them thawak (midst) their ach (brother/kinsman).
9 Now the bawar (pit) in which Yashamaial (Ishmael) shalak (cast) all the pagar (dead) bodies of the anashayam (men) whom he had nakah (killed), by the yad (hand) of Gadalayah (Gedaliah) (the same was who which Asaa (Asa) the malak (king) ishah (make) made for panayam (face) of Baishaa (Baasha) malak (king) of Yashar-Al (Israel)), Yashamaial (Ishmael) the ban (son) of Nathanayah (Nethaniah) malaa (filled) it with those who were chalal (killed).
10 Then Yashamaial (Ishmael) shabah (carried) away captive all the shaarayath (residue) of the im (nation / people) who were in Matzapah (Mizpah), even the malak (king) banawath (daughters), and all the im (nation / people) who shaar (remained) in Matzapah (Mizpah), whom Nabawazaraadan (Nebuzaradan) the rab (captain) of the tabach (guard) paqad (visit) committed to Gadalayah (Gedaliah) the ban (son) of Achayaqam (Ahikam); Yashamaial (Ishmael) the ban (son) of Nathanayah (Nethaniah) shabah (carried) them away captive, and departed to ibar (pass over/through) over to the banay (children) of Imawan (Ammon).
11 But when Yawachanan (Johanan) the ban (son) of Qarach (Kareah), and all the sharay (captains) of the chayalayam (forces) who were with him, shamai (hearken / hear) of all the rai (evil) that Yashamaial (Ishmael) the ban (son) of Nathanayah (Nethaniah) ishah (make) done,

13 Now it happened that, when all the im (nation / people) who were with Yashamaial (Ishmael) raah (see / saw) Yawachanan (Johanan) the ban (son) of Qarach (Kareah), and all the sharay (captains) of the chayalayam (forces) who were with him, then they were shamach (glad).
14 So all the im (nation / people) who Yashamaial (Ishmael) had shabah (carried) away captive from Matzapah (Mizpah) shawab (turn) sabab (about) and yalak (came) back, and went to Yawachanan (Johanan) the ban (son) of Qarach (Kareah).
15 But Yashamaial (Ishmael) the ban (son) of Nathanayah (Nethaniah) malat (escaped) from Yawachanan (Johanan) with shamanah (eight) banay (men), and yalak (went) to the banay (children) of Imawan (Ammon).
16 Then laqach (take / seize) Yawachanan (Johanan) the ban (son) of Qarach (Kareah), and all the sharay (captains) of the chayalayam (forces) who were with him, all the shaarayath (remnant) of the im (nation / people) whom he had shawab (turn) from Yashamaial (Ishmael) the ban (son) of Nathanayah (Nethaniah), from Matzapah (Mizpah), achar (other) that he had nakah (killed) Gadalayah (Gedaliah) the ban (son) of Achayaqam (Ahikam), the ban (son) of malachamah (war), and the nashayam (women), and the tap (children), and the sarasayam (eunuchs), whom he had shawab (turn) back from Gabaiwan (Gibeon):
