Ezekiel 28 — Novel English Bible

The dabar (word / matter) of Yahawah () came again to me, amar (spoke),

“Ban (son) of adam (man), amar (spoke) the nagayad (prince) of Tzar (Tyre), ‘Thus amar (spoke) the Adanay () Yahawah (): “Because your lab (heart) is gabah (lifted) up, and you have amar (spoke), ‘I am a Al, I yashab (inhabit/dwell) in the mawashab (seat) of Alahayam (), in the lab (heart) of the yamayam (seas);’ yet you are adam (man), and not Al, though you nathan (give) your lab (heart) as the lab (heart) of Alahayam ()—

Behold, you are wiser than Danayaal (Daniel); there is no satham (secret) that is satham (hidden) from you;

By your chakamah (wisdom) and by your thabawan (understanding) you ishah (make) gotten yourself riches, and ishah (make) gotten zahab (gold) and kasap (silver) into your awatzar (treasures);

By your rab (great) chakamah (wisdom) and by your rakalah (traffic) you rabah (have) increased your riches, and your labab (heart) is gabah (lifted) up because of your riches—”

“‘Therefore thus amar (spoke) the Adanay () Yahawah (): “Because you nathan (give) set your lab (heart) as the labab (heart) of Alahayam (),

Therefore, behold, I will bawaa (bring) strangers on you, the irayatz (terrible) of the gawayam (heathen); and they shall rawaq (draw) their charab (sword) against the yapay (beauty) of your chakamah (wisdom), and they shall chalal (defile) your yapaih (brightness).

They shall yarad (bring) you down to the shachath (pit); and you shall mawath (death) the mamawath (death) of those who are chalal (slain), in the lab (heart) of the yamayam (seas).

Will you yet amar (spoke) panayam (face) him who harag (kill) you, ‘I am Alahayam ()’? But you are adam (man), and not Al, in the yad (hand) of him who chalal (wounds) you.

You shall mawath (death) the mawath (death) of the iral (uncircumcised) by the yad (hand) of strangers: for I have dabar (word / matter) it,” naam (declares prophetically) the Adanay () Yahawah ().’”

Moreover the dabar (word / matter) of Yahawah () came to me, amar (spoke),

“Ban (son) of adam (man), nashaa (lift) up a qayanah (lamentation) over the malak (king) of Tzar (Tyre), and amar (spoke) him, ‘Thus amar (spoke) the Adanay () Yahawah (): “You chatham (seal) up the thakanayath (sum), malaa (full) of chakamah (wisdom), and kalayal (perfect) in yapay (beauty).

You were in Idan (Eden), the gan (garden) of Alahayam (); every yaqar (precious) aban (stone) adorned you: ruby, patadah (topaz), emerald, chrysolite, shaham (Onyx), yashapah (jasper), sapayar (sapphire), turquoise, and beryl. Zahab (gold) malaakah (work) of tambourines and of naqab (pipes) was in you. In the yawam (day) that you were baraa (created) they were kawan (prepared).

You were the mamashach (anointed) karawab (cherub) who sakak (covers): and I nathan (give) you, so that you were on the qadash (set apart / make holy) har (mountain) of Alahayam (); you have halak (move) up and down in the thawak (midst) of the abanay (stones) of ash (fire).

You were thamayam (complete / whole) in your darak (ways) from the yawam (day) that you were baraa (created), until iwal (unrighteousness) was matzaa (found) in you.

By the rab (abundance) of your rakalah (traffic) they malaa (filled) the thawak (midst) of you with chamas (violence), and you have chataa (sinned): therefore I have cast you as chalal (profane) out of the har (mountain) of Alahayam (); and I abad (destroy / perish) destroyed you, sakak (covering) karawab (cherub), from the thawak (midst) of the abanay (stones) of ash (fire).

Your lab (heart) was gabah (lifted) up because of your yapay (beauty); you have shachath (corrupted) your chakamah (wisdom) by reason of your yapaih (brightness): I have shalak (cast) you to the aratz (Earth/land); I nathan (give) laid you panayam (face) malakayam (kings), that they may raah (see / saw) you.

By the rab (multitude) of your iwan (guilt/iniquity), in the iwal (unrighteousness) of your rakalah (traffic), you have chalal (profaned) your maqadash (sanctuaries); therefore yatzaa (go out / come out) I brought forth a ash (fire) from the thawak (midst) of you; it has akal (eat) you, and I nathan (give) turned you to ashes on the aratz (Earth/land) in the iyan (eye) of all those who raah (see / saw) you.

All those who yadai (know) you among the imayam (peoples) shall be shamam (astonished) at you: you have become a balahah (terror), and you shall nevermore have any being.”’”

The dabar (word / matter) of Yahawah () came to me, amar (spoke),

“Ban (son) of adam (man), shawam (place / establish / appoint) your panayam (face) toward Tzayadawan (Sidon), and nabaa (prophesy) against it,

And amar (spoke), ‘Thus amar (spoke) the Adanay () Yahawah (): “Behold, I am against you, Tzayadawan (Sidon); and I will be kabad (glorified) in the thawak (midst) of you; and they shall yadai (know) that I am Yahawah (), when I shall ishah (make) executed shapatayam (judgments) in her, and shall be qadash (set apart / make holy) in her.

For I will shalach (send) dabar (word / matter) into her, and dam (blood) into her chawatz (streets); and the chalal (wounded) shall napal (fall / be cast down) in the thawak (midst) of her, with the charab (sword) on her on sabayab (surrounding) side; and they shall yadai (know) that I am Yahawah ().

“‘“There shall be no more a pricking salawan (brier) to the bayath (house) of Yashar-Al (Israel), nor a hurting qawatz (thorn) of any that are around them, that scorned them; and they shall yadai (know) that I am the Adanay () Yahawah ().”

“‘Thus amar (spoke) the Adanay () Yahawah (): “When I shall have qabatz (gathered) the bayath (house) of Yashar-Al (Israel) from the imayam (peoples) among whom they are pawatz (scattered), and shall be qadash (set apart / make holy) in them in the iyan (eye) of the gawayam (nations), then shall they yashab (inhabit/dwell) in their own adamah (land) which I nathan (give) to my ibad (servant) Yaiqab (Jacob).

They shall yashab (inhabit/dwell) securely therein; yes, they shall banah (build) bathayam (houses), and natai (plant) karamayam (vineyards), and shall yashab (inhabit/dwell) securely, when I ishah (make) executed shapatayam (judgments) on all those who do them despite all around them; and they shall yadai (know) that I am Yahawah () their Alahayam ().”’”
