Daniel 9 — Novel English Bible

In the achad (one) shanah (year) of Darayawash (Darius) the ban (son) of Achashawarawash (Ahasuerus), of the zarai (seed) of the Maday (Medes), who was made malak (king) over the malakawath (realm) of the Kashaday (Chaldeans),

In the achad (one) shanah (year) of his malak (king) I, Danayaal (Daniel), bayan (between) by the saparayam (books) the masapar (number) of the shanayam (years) about which the dabar (word / matter) of Yahawah () came to Yaramayah (Jeremiah) the nabayaa (prophet/prophecy), for the malaa (accomplishing) of the desolations of Yarawashalam (Jerusalem), even shabaiyam (seventy) shanayam (years).

I nathan (give) my panayam (face) to the Adanay () Alahayam (), to baqash (seek) by thapalah (prayer) and petitions, with tzawam (fasting) and sackcloth and ashes.

I palal (prayed) to Yahawah () my Alahayam (), and made yadah (confession), and amar (spoke), “Oh, Adanay (), the gadawal (very great/important/mighty) and yaraa (fear / be afraid) Al, who shamaray (keeps) barayath (covenant) and loving chasad (grace) with those who ahab (love) him and shamar (keep/guard) his matzawah (commandments),

We have chataa (sinned), and have dealt iwah (perversely), and have rashai (done) wickedly, and have marad (rebelled), even sawar (turning) aside from your matzawah (precepts) and from your mashapat (ordinances);

Neither have we shamai (hearken / hear) to your ibad (servant) the nabayaayam (prophets), who dabar (word / matter) in your sham (name) to our malak (king), our shar (prince / ruler), and our ab (father), and to all the im (nation / people) of the aratz (Earth/land).

“Adanay (), tzadaqah (righteousness) belongs to you, but to us bashath (confusion) of panayam (face), as at this yawam (day); to the ayash (man / husband) of Yahawadah (Judah), and to the yawashabay (inhabitants) of Yarawashalam (Jerusalem), and to all Yashar-Al (Israel), who are qarawab (near), and who are rachawaq (far) off, through all the aratzawath (countries) where you have nadach (driven) them, because of their mail (top/above) that they have mail (top/above) against you.

Adanay (), to us belongs bashath (confusion) of panayam (face), to our malak (king), to our shar (prince / ruler), and to our ab (father), because we have chataa (sinned) against you.

To the Adanay () our Alahayam () belong rachamayam (mercies) and salayachah (forgiveness); for we have marad (rebelled) against him;

Neither have we shamai (hearken / hear) the qawal (sound / voice) of Yahawah () our Alahayam (), to yalak (walk) in his thawarah (instruction), which he nathan (give) panayam (face) us by his ibad (servant) the nabayaayam (prophets).

Yes, all Yashar-Al (Israel) ibar (pass over/through) transgressed your thawarah (instruction), sawar (turning) aside, that they should not shamai (hearken / hear) your qawal (sound / voice): “therefore the alah (curse / oath) and the shabawaih (oath) kathab (write) in the thawarah (instruction) of Mashah (Moses) the ibad (servant) of Alahayam () has been nathak (poured) out on us; for we have chataa (sinned) against him.

He has qawam (rise up) his dabar (word / matter), which he dabar (word / matter) against us, and against our shapat (judge / judgement) who shapat (judge / judgement) us, by bawaa (bring) on us a gadawal (very great/important/mighty) rai (evil); for under the whole sky, such ishah (make) not been done as ishah (make) been done to Yarawashalam (Yarawashalam / Jerusalem).

As it is kathab (write) in the thawarah (instruction) of Mashah (Moses), all this rai (evil) bawaa (come) come on us: yet have we not entreated the favor of Yahawah () our Alahayam (), that we should shawab (turn back / repent) from our iwan (guilt/iniquity), and shakal (have) discernment in your amath (truth).

Therefore has Yahawah () shaqad (watched) over the rai (evil), and bawaa (come) it on us; for Yahawah () our Alahayam () is tzadayaq (righteous) in all his maishah (works) which he ishah (make), and we have not shamai (hearken / hear) his qawal (sound / voice).

“Now, Adanay () our Alahayam (), who yatzaa (go out / come out) brought your im (nation / people) yatzaa (go out / come out) out of the aratz (Earth/land) of Matzarayam (Egypt) with a chazaq (mighty) yad (hand), and ishah (make) gotten yourself sham (name), as at this yawam (day); we have chataa (sinned), we have rashai (done) wickedly.

Adanay (), according to all your tzadaqah (righteousness), let your ap (nostril / picture: bull snorting) and please let your chamah (wrath) be shawab (turn back / repent) away from your iyar (city) Yarawashalam (Jerusalem), your qadash (set apart / make holy) har (mountain); because for our chataa (sins), and for the iwanawath (iniquities) of our ab (father), Yarawashalam (Jerusalem) and your im (nation / people) have become a charapah (reproach) to all who are around us.

“Now therefore, our Alahayam (), shamai (hearken / hear) to the thapalah (prayer) of your ibad (servant), and to his petitions, and cause your panayam (face) to awar (light) on your maqadash (sanctuary) that is shamam (desolate), for the Adanay () sake.

My Alahayam (), natah (turn) your azan (ear), and shamai (hearken / hear); paqach (open) your iyan (eye), and raah (see) our desolations, and the iyar (city) which is qaraa (called) by your sham (name): for we do not napal (fall / be cast down) our petitions panayam (face) you for our tzadaqah (righteousness), but for your rab (great) racham (show mercy / love)’ sake.

Adanay (), shamai (hearken / hear); Adanay (), salach (forgive/pardon/make clean); Adanay (), listen and ishah (make); don't achar (other), for your own sake, my Alahayam (), because your iyar (city) and your im (nation / people) are qaraa (called) by your sham (name).”

While I was dabar (word / matter), and palal (praying), and yadah (confessing) my chataah (sin) and the chataah (sin) of my im (nation / people) Yashar-Al (Israel), and napal (fall / be cast down) my thachanah (supplication) panayam (face) Yahawah () my Alahayam () for the qadash (set apart / make holy) har (mountain) of my Alahayam ();

Yes, while I was dabar (word / matter) in thapalah (prayer), the ayash (man / husband) Gabarayaal (Gabriel), whom I raah (see / saw) seen in the chazawan (vision) at the thachalah (beginning), being yaip (caused) to fly yaip (swiftly), nagai (touched) me about the ith (time) of the irab (evening) manachah (offering).

He bayan (between) me, and dabar (word / matter) with me, and amar (said), Danayaal (Daniel), “I am now yatzaa (go out / come out) forth to give you shakal (wisdom) and bayanah (understanding).

At the thachalah (beginning) of your petitions the commandment yatzaa (go out / come out) forth, and I bawaa (bring) come to nagad (tell) you; for you are greatly beloved: therefore bayan (between) the dabar (word / matter), and bayan (between) the maraah (vision).

“Shabaiyam (seventy) shabaiyam (seventy) are decreed on your im (nation / people) and on your qadash (set apart / make holy) iyar (city), to kalaa (finish) disobedience, and to chatham (make) an end of chataawath (sins), and to kapar (make) reconciliation for iwan (guilt/iniquity), and to bawaa (bring) in iwalam (eternity) tzadaq (righteous / just / fair), and to chatham (seal) up chazawan (vision) and nabayaa (prophet/prophecy), and to mashach (anoint) the most qadash (set apart / make holy).

“Yadai (know) therefore and discern, that from the mawatzaa (going) forth of the commandment to shawab (turn) and to banah (build) Yarawashalam (Yarawashalam / Jerusalem) to the mashayach (anointed one) One, the nagayad (prince), shall be shabai (seven) shabaiyam (seventy), and shashayam (sixty) - shanayam (two) shabaiyam (seventy): it shall be banah (build) again, with rachab (street) and moat, even in troubled ithayam (times).

Achar (other) the shashayam (sixty) - shanayam (two) shabaiyam (seventy) the mashayach (anointed one) One shall be karath (cut) off, and shall have nothing: and the im (nation / people) of the nagayad (prince) who shall bawaa (bring) shall shachath (destroy) the iyar (city) and the qadash (set apart / make holy); and its qatz (end) shall be with a shatap (flood), and even to the qatz (end) shall be malachamah (war); desolations are charatz (determined).

He shall make a firm barayath (covenant) with many for achad (one) shabawai (week): and in the chatzay (midst) of the shabawai (week) he shall cause the zabach (sacrifice) and the manachah (offering) to shabath (shabath / rest); and on the kanap (wing) of shaqawatzayam (abominations) shall come one who shamam (makes) desolate; and even to the kalah (complete / finish) end, and that charatz (determined), shall wrath be nathak (poured) out on the shamam (desolate).”
