Malachi 1 — Novel English Bible

An oracle: the dabar (word / matter) of Yahawah () to Yashar-Al (Israel) by Malaakay (Malachi).

“I have ahab (love) you,” naam (declares prophetically) Yahawah (). Yet you amar (spoke), “How have you ahab (love) us?” “Wasn't Ishaw (Esau) Yaiqab (Jacob's) ach (brother/kinsman)?” Amaratham (says) Yahawah (), “Yet I ahab (love) Yaiqab (Jacob);

But Ishaw (Esau) I shanaa (hate), and shawam (place / establish / appoint) his har (mountain) a shamamah (desolation), and gave his nachalah (heritage) to the jackals of the madabar (wilderness).”

Whereas Adawam (Edom) amar (spoke), “We are beaten down, but we will shawab (turn back / repent) and banah (build) the charabah (waste) places;” thus amar (spoke) Yahawah () of tzabaawath (armies), “They shall banah (build), but I will haras (throw) down; and men will qaraa (called) them ‘The rashaih (wicked) gabawal (border/boundary),’ even the im (nation / people) against whom Yahawah () shows zaim (wrath) iwalam (forever).”

Your iyan (eye) will raah (see), and you will amar (spoke), “Yahawah () is gadal (great)— even beyond the gabawal (border/boundary) of Yashar-Al (Israel)!”

“A ban (son) honors his ab (father), and a ibad (servant) his adawan (master / lord). If I am a ab (father), then where is my honor? And if I am a adawan (master / lord), where is the respect due me? Amaratham (says) Yahawah () of tzabaawath (armies) to you, kahanayam (priests), who bazah (despise) my sham (name). You amar (spoke), ‘How have we bazah (despised) your sham (name)?’

You nagash (offer) gaal (polluted) lacham (bread) on my mazabach (altar). You amar (spoke), ‘How have we gaal (polluted) you?’ In that you amar (spoke), ‘Yahawah () shalachan (table) bazah (contemptible).’

When you nagash (offer) the iwar (blind) for zabach (sacrifice), isn't that rai (evil)? And when you nagash (offer) the pasach (lame) and chalah (afflict), isn't that rai (evil)? Qarab (come close) it now to your pachah (governor)! Will he be ratzah (pleased) with you? Or will he nashaa (lift) your panayam (face)?” Amar (spoke) Yahawah () of tzabaawath (armies).

“Now, please entreat the favor of Al, that he may be gracious to us. With this, will he nashaa (lift) any of you?” Amar (spoke) Yahawah () of tzabaawath (armies).

“Oh that there were one among you who would sagar (shut) the dalathayam (doors), that you might not awar (light) fire on my mazabach (altar) in chanam (vain)! I have no chapatz (pleasure) in you,” amar (spoke) Yahawah () of tzabaawath (armies), “neither will I ratzah (accept) an manachah (offering) at your yad (hand).

For from the mazarach (rising) of the shamash (sun) even to the mabawaa (going) down of the same, my sham (name) is gadawal (very great/important/mighty) among the gawayam (nations), and in every maqawam (place) qatar (incense) will be nagash (offered) to my sham (name), and a tahawar (pure) manachah (offering): for my sham (name) is gadawal (very great/important/mighty) among the gawayam (nations),” amar (spoke) Yahawah () of tzabaawath (armies).

“But you chalal (profane) it, in that you amar (spoke), ‘Yahawah () shalachan (table) is gaal (polluted), and its nawab (fruit), even its akal (food), is bazah (contemptible).’

You amar (spoke) also, ‘Behold, mathalaah (what) a weariness it is!’ And you have sniffed at it”, amaratham (says) Yahawah () of tzabaawath (armies); “and you bawaa (come) brought that which was gazal (taken) by violence, the pasach (lame), and the chalah (afflict); thus you bawaa (come) the manachah (offering). Should I ratzah (accept) this at your yad (hand)?” Amaratham (says) Yahawah ().

“But the nakal (deceiver) is arar (cursed), who has in his idar (flock) a zakar (remember), and nadar (make vow), and zabach (sacrifices) to the Adanay () a blemished thing; for I am a gadawal (very great/important/mighty) malak (king),” amar (spoke) Yahawah () of tzabaawath (armies), “and my sham (name) is awesome among the gawayam (nations).”
