Now the banay (my son) of Raawaban (Reuben) and the banay (my son) of Gad (Gad) had a very itzawam (great) rab (multitude) of livestock: and when they raah (see / saw) the aratz (Earth/land) of Yaizayar (Jazer), and the aratz (Earth/land) of Galaid (Gilead), that behold, the maqawam (place) was a maqawam (place) for livestock;

The banay (my son) of Gad (Gad) and the banay (my son) of Raawaban (Reuben) bawaa (bring) and amar (said) to Mashah (Moses), and to Alaizar (Eleazar) the kahan (priest), and to the nashayaay (princes) of the idah (congregation), amar (said),

“Itarawath (Ataroth), and Dayabawan (Dibon), and Yaizayar (Jazer), and Namarah (Nimrah), and Chashabawan (Heshbon), and Alailaa (Elealeh), and Shabam (Sebam), and Nabaw (Nebo), and Bain (Beon),

The aratz (Earth/land) which Yahawah () nakah (struck) panayam (face) the idah (congregation) of Yashar-Al (Israel), is a aratz (Earth/land) for livestock; and your ibad (servant) have livestock.”

They amar (said), “If we matzaa (have) found favor in your iyan (eye), let this aratz (Earth/land) be nathan (give) to your ibad (servant) for a achazah (possession); don't ibar (pass over/through) us over the Yaradan (Jordan).”

Mashah (Moses) amar (said) to the banay (my son) of Gad (Gad), and to the banay (my son) of Raawaban (Reuben), “Shall your ach (brother/kinsman) bawaa (bring) to the malachamah (war), and shall you yashab (inhabit/dwell) here?

Why do you discourage the lab (heart) of the banay (children) of Yashar-Al (Israel) from ibar (pass over/through) over into the aratz (Earth/land) which Yahawah () nathan (give) given them?

Your ab (father) ishah (make) so when I shalach (send) them from Qadash-Baranai (Kadesh) Baranai (Barnea) to raah (see) the aratz (Earth/land).

For when they ilah (go up / offer) up to the nachal (stream / river) of Ashakal (Eshcol), and raah (see) the aratz (Earth/land), they nawaa (discouraged) the lab (heart) of the banay (children) of Yashar-Al (Israel), that they should not bawaa (come) into the aratz (Earth/land) which Yahawah () nathan (give) given them.

Yahawah () ap (nostril / picture: bull snorting) was charah (hot with anger) in that yawam (day), and he shabai (swear / take oath), amar (spoke),

‘Am (mother) none of the anashayam (men) who ilah (go up / offer) up out of Matzarayam (Matzarayam / Egypt), from isharayam (twenty) shanah (years) ban (son) and upward, shall raah (see / saw) the adamah (land) which I shabai (swear / take oath) to Abaraham (Abraham - Patriarch), to Yatzachaq (Isaac), and to Yaiqab (Jacob - Patriarch); because they malaa (have) not wholly achar (other) me:

Except Kalab (Caleb) the ban (son) of Yapanah (Jephunneh) the Qanazay (Kenizzite), and Yahawashawai (Joshua) the ban (son) of Nawan (Nun); because they have achar (other) Yahawah () completely.’

Yahawah () ap (nostril / picture: bull snorting) was charah (hot with anger) against Yashar-Al (Israel), and he nawai (made) them wander back and forth in the madabar (wilderness) arabaiyam (forty) shanah (years), until all the dawar (generation / age / period), who ishah (make) done rai (evil) in the iyan (eye) of Yahawah (), was thamam (consumed).

“Behold, you have qawam (rise up) up in your ab (father)’ place, an tharabawath (increase) of chataa (sinful) anashayam (men), to sapah (augment) yet the charawan (fierce) ap (nostril / picture: bull snorting) of Yahawah () toward Yashar-Al (Israel).

For if you shawab (turn) away from achar (other) him, he will yet again yanach (leave) them in the madabar (wilderness); and you will shachath (destroy) all this im (nation / people).”

They nagash (came) near to him, and amar (said), “We will banah (build) sheepfolds here for our livestock, and irayam (cities) for our little tap (ones):

But we anachanaw (we) will be chawash (ready) chalatz (armed) to go panayam (face) the banay (my son) of Yashar-Al (Israel), until we bawaa (bring) brought them to their maqawam (place): and our little tap (ones) shall yashab (inhabit/dwell) in the fortified iray (cities) panayam (face) of the yashabay (inhabitants) of the aratz (Earth/land).

We will not shawab (turn) to our bayath (house), until the banay (my son) of Yashar-Al (Israel) nachal (have) inherited every ayash (man / husband) his nachalah (inheritance).

For we will not nachal (inherit) with them on the other ibar (side) of the Yaradan (Jordan), and halaah (forward); because our nachalah (inheritance) is bawaa (bring) to us on ibar (this) side of the Yaradan (Jordan) eastward.”

Mashah (Moses) amar (spoke) to them, “If you will ishah (make) this thing, if you will chalatz (arm) yourselves to go panayam (face) Yahawah () to the malachamah (war),

And every chalatz (armed) ibar (pass over/through) of you will pass over the Yaradan (Jordan) panayam (face) Yahawah (), until he has yarash (driven) out his ayab (enemy) from panayam (face) him,

And the aratz (Earth/land) is kabash (subdued) panayam (face) Yahawah (); then afterward you shall shawab (turn back / repent), and be naqay (guiltless) towards Yahawah (), and towards Yashar-Al (Israel); and this aratz (Earth/land) shall be to you for a achazah (possession) panayam (face) Yahawah ().

“But if you will not ishah (make) so, behold, you have chataa (sinned) against Yahawah (); and be yadai (sure) your chataah (sin) will matzaa (find) you out.

Banah (build) irayam (cities) for your little tap (ones), and folds for your tzanaa (sheep); and ishah (make) that which yatzaa (go out / come out) proceeded out of your pah (mouth).”

The banay (children) of Gad (Gad) and the banay (children) of Raawaban (Reuben) amar (spoke) to Mashah (Moses), amar (spoke), “Your ibad (servant) will ishah (make) as my Adawan () tzawah (commands).

Our little tap (ones), our wives, our maqanah (flocks), and all our livestock, shall be there in the iray (cities) of Galaid (Gilead);

But your ibad (servant) will ibar (pass over/through) over, every chalatz (man) who is armed for tzabaa (troop), panayam (face) Yahawah () to malachamah (battle), as my Adawan () dabar (word / matter).”

So Mashah (Moses) tzawah (commanded) concerning them to Alaizar (Eleazar) the kahan (priest), and to Yahawashawai (Joshua) the ban (son) of Nawan (Nun), and to the raashay (heads) of the abawath (fathers)’ households of the matawath (tribes) of the banay (my son) of Yashar-Al (Israel).

Mashah (Moses) amar (spoke) to them, “If the banay (children) of Gad (Gad) and the banay (children) of Raawaban (Reuben) will ibar (pass over/through) with you over the Yaradan (Jordan), every chalatz (man) who is armed to malachamah (battle), panayam (face) Yahawah (), and the aratz (Earth/land) shall be kabash (subdued) panayam (face) you; then you shall nathan (give) them the aratz (Earth/land) of Galaid (Gilead) for a achazah (possession):

But if they will not ibar (pass over/through) over with you chalatz (armed), they shall have naachazaw (possessions) thawak (midst) you in the aratz (Earth/land) of Kanain (Canaan).”

The banay (children) of Gad (Gad) and the banay (children) of Raawaban (Reuben) inah (answer / respond), amar (spoke), “As Yahawah () has dabar (word / matter) to your ibad (servant), so will we ishah (make).

We will ibar (pass over/through) over chalatz (armed) panayam (face) Yahawah () into the aratz (Earth/land) of Kanain (Canaan), and the achazah (possession) of our nachalah (inheritance) shall remain with us ibar (beyond) the Yaradan (Jordan).”

Mashah (Moses) nathan (give) to them, even to the banay (my son) of Gad (Gad), and to the banay (my son) of Raawaban (Reuben), and to the chatzay (half) - shabat (tribe) of Manashah (Manasseh) the ban (son) of Yawasap (Joseph), the mamalakah (kingdom) of Sayachawan (Sihon) malak (king) of the Amaray (Amaray / Amorite), and the mamalakah (kingdom) of Iwag (Og) malak (king) of Bashan (Bashan), the aratz (Earth/land), according to its iray (cities) and gabalath (borders), even the iray (cities) of the surrounding aratz (Earth/land).
