This was the gawaral (lot) for the matah (staff / rod / tribe) of Manashah (Manasseh), for he was the bakawar (firstborn) of Yawasap (Joseph). As for Makayar (Machir) the bakawar (firstborn) of Manashah (Manasseh), the ab (father) of Galaid (Gilead), because he was a ayash (man / husband) of malachamah (war), therefore he had Galaid (Gilead) and Bashan (Bashan).
