Dawad (David) was nagad (told), “Behold, the Palashathay (Philistines) are lacham (fighting) against Qaiyalah (Keilah), and are shasah (robbing) the garan (threshing) floors.”

Therefore Dawad (David) inquired of Yahawah (), amar (spoke), “Shall I yalak (go) and nakah (strike) these Palashathay (Philistines)?” Yahawah () amar (spoke) to Dawad (David), “yalak (go) nakah (strike) the Palashathay (Philistines), and yashai (salvation) Qaiyalah (Keilah).”

Dawad (David's) anashay (men) amar (said) to him, “Behold, we are yaraa (fear / be afraid) here in Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah): how much more then if we yalak (go) to Qaiyalah (Keilah) against the mairakawath (armies) of the Palashathay (Philistines)?”

Then Dawad (David) inquired of Yahawah () yet again. Yahawah () inah (answer / respond) him, and inah (answer / respond), “qawam (rise up), yarad (go) down to Qaiyalah (Keilah); for I will nathan (give) the Palashathay (Philistines) into your yad (hand).”

Dawad (David) and his ayash (man / husband) yalak (went) to Qaiyalah (Keilah), and lacham (fought) with the Palashathay (Philistines), and nahag (brought) away their livestock, and nakah (killed) them with a gadawal (very great/important/mighty) makah (slaughter). So Dawad (David) yashai (salvation) the yashabay (inhabitants) of Qaiyalah (Keilah).

It happened, when Abayathar (Abiathar) the ban (son) of Achayamalak (Ahimelech) barach (fled) to Dawad (David) to Qaiyalah (Keilah), that he yarad (came) down with an apawad (ephod) in his yad (hand).

It was nagad (told) Shaawal (Saul) that Dawad (David) bawaa (come) come to Qaiyalah (Keilah). Shaawal (Saul) amar (spoke), “Alahayam () has nakar (delivered) him into my yad (hand); for he is sagar (shut) in, by bawaa (come) into a iyar (town) that has dalathayam (gates) and barayach (bars).”

Shaawal (Sheol / afterlife) summoned all the im (nation / people) to malachamah (war), to yarad (go) down to Qaiyalah (Keilah), to tzawar (besiege) Dawad (David) and his im (nation / people).

Dawad (David) yadai (knew) that Shaawal (Sheol / afterlife) was charash (devising) rai (mischief) amar (said) him; and he said to Abayathar (Abiathar) the kahan (priest), “Bring the apawad (ephod) here.”

Then Dawad (David) amar (spoke), “O Yahawah (), the Alahayam () of Yashar-Al (Israel), your ibad (servant) has shamai (hearken / hear) shamai (hearken / hear) that Shaawal (Saul) baqash (seeks) to bawaa (come) to Qaiyalah (Keilah), to shachath (destroy) the iyar (city) for my sake.

Will the bailay (men) of Qaiyalah (Keilah) sagar (deliver) me up into his yad (hand)? Will Shaawal (Saul) yarad (come) down, as your ibad (servant) has shamai (hearken / hear)? Yahawah (), the Alahayam () of Yashar-Al (Israel), I beg you, nagad (tell) your ibad (servant).” Yahawah () amar (spoke), “He will yarad (come) down.”

Then Dawad (David) amar (spoke), “Will the bailay (men) of Qaiyalah (Keilah) sagar (deliver) me and my bailay (men) into the yad (hand) of Shaawal (Saul)?” Yahawah () amar (spoke), “They will sagar (deliver) you up.”

Then Dawad (David) and his ayash (man / husband), who were about shash (six) maah (hundred), qawam (rise up) and departed out of Qaiyalah (Keilah), and halak (move) wherever they could halak (move). It was nagad (told) Shaawal (Sheol / afterlife) that Dawad (David) was malat (escaped) from Qaiyalah (Keilah); and he gave up yatzaa (go out / come out) there.

Dawad (David) stayed in the madabar (wilderness) in the strongholds, and yashab (inhabit/dwell) in the har (mountain) country in the madabar (wilderness) of Zayap (Ziph). Shaawal (Saul) baqash (sought) him every yawam (day), but Alahayam () didn't nathan (give) him into his yad (hand).

Dawad (David) raah (see / saw) that Shaawal (Sheol / afterlife) yatzaa (go out / come out) come out to baqash (seek) his napash (soul). Dawad (David) was in the madabar (wilderness) of Zayap (Ziph) in the Charash (wood).

Yahawanathan (Jonathan), Shaawal (Saul's) ban (son), qawam (rise up), and yalak (went) to Dawad (David) into the Charash (woods), and chazaq (strengthened) his yad (hand) in Alahayam ().

He amar (said) to him, “Don't be yaraa (fear / be afraid); for the yad (hand) of Shaawal (Sheol / afterlife) my ab (father) shall not matzaa (find) you; and you shall be malak (king) over Yashar-Al (Israel), and I shall be mashanah (next) to you; and that also Shaawal (Sheol / afterlife) my ab (father) yadai (knows).”

They shanayam (two) karath (cut) a barayath (covenant) panayam (face) Yahawah (): and Dawad (David) stayed in the Charash (woods), and Yahawanathan (Jonathan) halak (move) to his bayath (house).

Then the zapayam (ziphites) ilah (go up / offer) up to Shaawal (Sheol / afterlife) to Gabaih (Gibeah), amar (said), “Doesn't Dawad (David) sathar (hide) himself with us in the strongholds in the Charash (wood), in the gabaih (hill) of Chakayalah (Hachilah), which is on the yamayan (right hand) of the yashayamawan (desert)?

Now therefore, O malak (king), yarad (come) down, according to all the awah (desire) of your napash (soul) to yarad (come) down; and our part shall be to sagar (deliver) him up into the malak (king) yad (hand).”

Shaawal (Saul) amar (spoke), “You are barak (blessed) by Yahawah (); for you chamal (have) had compassion on me.

Please yalak (go) kawan (make) yet more yadai (sure), and know and raah (see / saw) his maqawam (place) where his ragal (feet / foot) is, and who raah (see / saw) seen him there; for it is amar (said) me that he iram (deals) very subtly.

Raah (see / saw) therefore, and take yadai (knowledge) of all the lurking machabaayam (places) where he chabaa (hides) himself, and shawab (turn) again to me with kawan (certainty), and I will halak (move) with you: and it yash (shall) happen, if he is in the aratz (Earth/land), that I will chapash (search) him out among all the alapay (thousands) of Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah).”

They qawam (rise up), and yalak (went) to Zayap (Ziph) panayam (face) Shaawal (Sheol / afterlife): but Dawad (David) and his ayash (man / husband) were in the madabar (wilderness) of maiwan (maon), in the irabah (arabah) on the yamayan (right hand) of the yashayamawan (desert).

Shaawal (Sheol / afterlife) and his ayash (man / husband) yalak (went) to baqash (seek) him. When Dawad (David) was nagad (told), he yarad (went) down to the salai (rock), and stayed in the madabar (wilderness) of maiwan (maon). When Shaawal (Sheol / afterlife) shamai (hearken / hear) that, he radap (pursued) Dawad (David) in the madabar (wilderness) of maiwan (maon).

Shaawal (Sheol / afterlife) yalak (went) on this tzad (side) of the har (mountain), and Dawad (David) and his zah (this / that / these) on that tzad (side) of the har (mountain): and Dawad (David) made chapaz (haste) to yalak (get) away for panayam (face) of Shaawal (Sheol / afterlife); for Shaawal (Sheol / afterlife) and his zah (this / that / these) surrounded Dawad (David) and his zah (this / that / these) to thapash (take) them.

But a malaak (angel / messenger of Yah) bawaa (bring) to Shaawal (Sheol / afterlife), amar (said), “Hurry and yalak (come); for the Palashathay (Philistines) have pashat (made) a raid on the aratz (Earth/land)!”

So Shaawal (Sheol / afterlife) shawab (turn) from radap (pursuing) achar (other) Dawad (David), and yalak (went) il (over) the Palashathay (Philistines): therefore they qaraa (called) that maqawam (place) Salaihamachalaqawath (Sela Hammahlekoth).

It happened, when Shaawal (Saul) was yashab (inhabit/dwell) from following the Palashath (Philistines), that it was told him, saying, "Behold, Dawad (David) is in the wilderness of Iyan-Gaday (En) Gedi.
