Now there was a ayash (man / husband) of Banayamayan (Benjamin), whose sham (name) was Qayash (Kish), the ban (son) of Abayaal (Abiel), the ban (son) of Zeror, the ban (son) of Bakawarath (Becorath), the ban (son) of Apayach (Aphiah), the son of a Benjamite, a gabawar (mighty) ayash (man / husband) of valor.
He had a ban (son), whose sham (name) was Shaawal (Sheol / afterlife), an impressive bachawar (young) man; and there was not among the banay (my son) of Yashar-Al (Israel) a tawab (good / proper function) ayash (man / husband) than he. From his shakam (shoulders) and upward he was gabah (higher) than any of the im (nation / people).
The donkeys of Qayash (Kish), Shaawal (Sheol / afterlife) ab (father), were abad (destroy / perish). Qayash (Kish) amar (said) to Shaawal (Sheol / afterlife) his ban (son), “laqach (take / seize) now achad (one) of the nairayam (servants) with you, and qawam (rise up), yalak (go) baqash (seek) the donkeys.”
He ibar (pass over/through) through the har (mountain) country of Aparayam (Ephraim), and ibar (pass over/through) through the aratz (Earth/land) of Shalashah (Shalishah), but they didn't matzaa (find) them: then they ibar (pass over/through) through the aratz (Earth/land) of Shailayam (Shaalim), and there they weren't there: and he ibar (pass over/through) through the aratz (Earth/land) of the Banayamayanay (Benjamites), but they didn't matzaa (find) them.
When they bawaa (bring) come to the aratz (Earth/land) of Tzawap (Zuph), Shaawal (Sheol / afterlife) amar (said) to his nair (servant) who was with him, “yalak (come), and let us shawab (turn), lest my ab (father) stop caring about the donkeys, and be anxious for us.”
He amar (spoke) to him, “See now, there is in this iyar (city) a ayash (man / husband) of Alahayam (), and he is a ayash (man / husband) who is held in honor. All that he dabar (word / matter) bawaa (come) bawaa (come) to pass. Now yalak (let) us go there. Perhaps he can nagad (tell) us concerning our darak (journey) whereon we halak (move).”
Then Shaawal (Saul) amar (spoke) to his nair (servant), “But, behold, if we yalak (go), what shall we bawaa (come) the ayash (man / husband)? For the lacham (bread) is spent in our kalay (vessels), and there is not a thashawarah (present) to bawaa (come) to the ayash (man / husband) of Alahayam (). What do we have?”
The nair (servant) inah (answer / respond) Shaawal (Saul) again, and inah (answer / respond), “Behold, I matzaa (have) in my yad (hand) the rabai (fourth) part of a shaqal (shekel) of kasap (silver). I will nathan (give) that to the ayash (man / husband) of Alahayam (), to nagad (tell) us our darak (way).”
(In earlier times in Yashar-Al (Israel), when a ayash (man / husband) yalak (went) to darash (inquire) of Alahayam (), thus he amar (spoke), “yalak (come), and yalak (let) us go to the seer;” for he who is yawam (day) qaraa (called) a nabayaa (prophet/prophecy) panayam (face) before qaraa (called) a Seer.)
Then Shaawal (Saul) dabar (word / matter) to his nair (servant), “tawab (good / proper function) amar (spoke). Yalak (come), yalak (let) us go.” So they yalak (went) to the iyar (city) where the ayash (man / husband) of Alahayam () was.
As they ilah (go up / offer) up the ascent to the iyar (city), they matzaa (found) nairah (young) maidens yatzaa (go out / come out) out to shaab (draw) mayam (Waters), and amar (said) to them, “Is the seer here?”
They inah (answer / respond) them, and inah (answer / respond), “He is. Behold, he is panayam (face) you. Hurry now, for he bawaa (bring) come today into the iyar (city); for the people have a zabach (sacrifice) today in the bamah (high) place.
As soon as you bawaa (bring) come into the iyar (city), you shall immediately matzaa (find) him, before he ilaw (goes) up to the bamah (high) place to akal (eat); for the im (nation / people) will not akal (eat) until he bawaa (bring), because he blesses the zabach (sacrifice). Afterwards those who are qaraa (called) akal (eat). Now therefore ilah (go up / offer) up; for at this yawam (day) you shall matzaa (find) him.”
They ilah (go up / offer) up to the iyar (city). As they bawaa (bring) within the iyar (city), behold, Shamawaal (Samuel) yatzaa (go out / come out) out toward them, to ilah (go up / offer) up to the bamah (high) place.
Now Yahawah () had galah (revealed) to Shamawaal (Samuel) a yawam (day) panayam (face) Shaawal (Saul) bawaa (come), amar (spoke),
“Machar (tomorrow) about this ith (time) I will shalach (send) you a ayash (man / husband) out of the aratz (Earth/land) of Banayamayan (Benjamin), and you shall mashach (anoint) him to be nagayad (prince) over my im (nation / people) Yashar-Al (Israel); and he shall yashai (salvation) my im (nation / people) out of the yad (hand) of the Palashathay (Philistines): for I raah (see / saw) looked on my im (nation / people), because their tzaiqah (cry) bawaa (bring) come to me.”
When Shamawaal (Samuel) raah (see) Shaawal (Saul), Yahawah () inah (answer / respond) to him, “Behold, the ayash (man / husband) of whom I amar (spoke) to you! This same shall have authority over my im (nation / people).”
Then Shaawal (Sheol / afterlife) nagash (drew) near to Shamawaal (Samuel) in the shair (gate), and amar (said), “Please nagad (tell) me ay (where) the seer's bayath (house) is.”
Shamawaal (Samuel) inah (answer / respond) Shaawal (Sheol / afterlife), and inah (answer / respond), “I am the seer. Ilah (go up / offer) up panayam (face) me to the bamah (high) place, for you shall akal (eat) with me today. In the baqar (morning) I will shalach (send) you go, and will nagad (tell) you all that is in your labab (heart).
As for your donkeys who were abad (destroy / perish) shalawash (three) yamayam (days) ago, don't shawam (place / establish / appoint) your lab (heart) on them; for they are matzaa (found). For whom is all that is desirable in Yashar-Al (Israel)? Is it not for you, and for all your ab (father) bayath (house)?”
Shaawal (Sheol / afterlife) inah (answer / respond), “Am I not a Banayamayanay (Benjamite), of the smallest of the shabatay (tribes) of Yashar-Al (Israel)? And my mashapachah (tribe / clan / family) the tzaiyar (least) of all the mashapachawath (families) of the shabat (tribe) of Banayamayan (Benjamin)? Why then do you dabar (word / matter) to me like this?”
Shamawaal (Samuel) laqach (take / seize) Shaawal (Sheol / afterlife) and his nair (servant), and bawaa (bring) them into the guest room, and nathan (give) them sit in the best maqawam (place) among those who were qaraa (called), who were about shalawashayam (thirty) ayash (man / husband).
Shamawaal (Samuel) amar (said) to the tabach (cook), “nathan (give) the manah (portion) which I nathan (give) you, of which I amar (said) to you, ‘shawam (place / establish / appoint) it aside.’”
The tabach (cook) rawam (will lift up) up the shawaq (thigh), and that which was on it, and shawam (place / establish / appoint) it panayam (face) Shaawal (Saul). Shamawaal (Samuel) amar (spoke), “Behold, that which has been shaar (reserved)! Shawam (place / establish / appoint) it panayam (face) yourself and akal (eat); because for the mawaid (Feast/Holy Day) time has it been shamar (keep/guard) for you, for I amar (spoke), ‘I have qaraa (called) the im (nation / people).’” So Shaawal (Saul) akal (eat) with Shamawaal (Samuel) that yawam (day).
When they had yarad (come) down from the bamah (high) place into the iyar (city), he dabar (word / matter) with Shaawal (Sheol / afterlife) on the housetop.
They arose shakam (early): and it happened about the ilah (go up / offer) of the shachar (day), that Shamawaal (Samuel) qaraa (called) to Shaawal (Sheol / afterlife) on the housetop, amar (said), “qawam (rise up) up, that I may shalach (send) you away.” Shaawal (Sheol / afterlife) qawam (rise up), and they yatzaa (go out / come out) out shanayam (two) of them, he and Shamawaal (Samuel), chawatz (abroad).
As they were yarad (going) down at the qatzah (end / extremity / border) of the iyar (city), Shamawaal (Samuel) amar (spoke) to Shaawal (Saul), “amar (spoke) the nair (servant) ibar (pass over/through) on panayam (face) us" (and he ibar (pass over/through) on),” “but imad (stand) still yawam (day), that I may shamai (hearken / hear) you to hear the dabar (word / matter) of Alahayam ().”
