He shamai (hearken / hear) the qawal (sound / voice) of the shawapar (Shofar / Ram's horn), and didn't take zahar (warn); his dam (blood) shall be on him; whereas if he had taken zahar (warn), he would have malat (delivered) his napash (soul).
