1 Now the Palashathay (Philistines) lacham (fought) against Yashar-Al (Israel): and the ayash (man / husband) of Yashar-Al (Israel) nawas (fled) from panayam (face) the Palashathay (Philistines), and napal (fall / be cast down) down chalal (slain) on har (mountain) Galabai (Gilboa).
2 The Palashathay (Philistines) dabaq (followed) hard achar (other) Shaawal (Sheol / afterlife) and achar (other) his banay (my son); and the Palashathay (Philistines) nakah (killed) Yawanathan (Jonathan), and Abayanadab (Abinadab), and Malakayashawai (Malchishua), the banay (my son) of Shaawal (Sheol / afterlife).
3 The malachamah (battle) went hard against Shaawal (Sheol / afterlife), and the mawarayam (archers) overtook him; and he was distressed by reason of the mawarayam (archers).
4 Then Shaawal (Sheol / afterlife) amar (said) to his armor bearer, “shalap (draw) your charab (sword), and thrust me through with it, lest these iral (uncircumcised) bawaa (bring) and ilal (abuse) me.” But his armor bearer would not; for he was terrified. Therefore Shaawal (Sheol / afterlife) laqach (take / seize) his charab (sword), and napal (fall / be cast down) on it.
5 When his armor bearer raah (see / saw) that Shaawal (Sheol / afterlife) was mawath (death), he likewise napal (fall / be cast down) on his charab (sword), and mawath (death).
6 So Shaawal (Sheol / afterlife) mawath (death), and his shalawash (three) ban (son); and all his bayath (house) mawath (death) yachad (together).
7 When all the ayash (man / husband) of Yashar-Al (Israel) who were in the imaq (valley) raah (see / saw) that they nawas (fled), and that Shaawal (Sheol / afterlife) and his ban (son) were mawath (death), they forsook their iyar (cities), and nawas (fled); and the Palashathay (Philistines) bawaa (bring) and lived in them.
8 It happened on the next macharath (day), when the Palashathay (Philistines) bawaa (bring) to pashat (strip) the chalal (slain), that they matzaa (found) Shaawal (Sheol / afterlife) and his ban (son) napal (fall / be cast down) on har (mountain) Galabai (Gilboa).
9 They pashat (stripped) him, and nashaa (lift) his raash (head), and his armor, and shalach (send) into the aratz (Earth/land) of the Palashathay (Philistines) all around, to bashar (carry) the news to their itzab (idols), and to the im (nation / people).
10 They shawam (place / establish / appoint) his armor in the bayath (house) of their Alahayam (), and thaqai (blow / sound alarm) his galagalath (head) in the bayath (house) of Dagawan (Dagon).
11 When all Yabash (dry land) shamai (hearken / hear) all that the Palashathay (Philistines) ishah (make) done to Shaawal (Sheol / afterlife),
12 All the chayal (wealth / substance / capability / valor) ayash (man / husband) qawam (rise up), and nashaa (lift) away the gawapah (body) of Shaawal (Sheol / afterlife), and the gawapath (bodies) of his ban (son), and bawaa (bring) them to Yabash (dry land), and qabar (grave / tomb / sepulcher) their itzam (bones) under the alah (these) in Yabash (dry land), and tzawam (fasted) shabai (seven) yamayam (days).
13 So Shaawal (Saul) mawath (death) for his mail (top/above) which he mail (top/above) against Yahawah (), because of the dabar (word / matter) of Yahawah (), which he didn't shamar (keep/guard); and also because he shaal (asked) counsel of one who had a familiar awab (spirit), to darash (inquire),
14 And didn't darash (inquire) of Yahawah (): therefore he mawath (death) him, and sabab (turned) the malawakah (kingdom) to Dawad (David) the ban (son) of Yashay (Jesse).
