Chronicles 22 — English–Hebrew Parallel

Then Dawad (David) amar (spoke), “This is the bayath (house) of Yahawah () Alahayam (), and this is the mazabach (altar) of burnt ilah (offering) for Yashar-Al (Israel).”

Dawad (David) amar (spoke) orders to kanas (gather) together the foreigners who were in the aratz (Earth/land) of Yashar-Al (Israel); and he imad (set) chatzabayam (masons) to chatzab (cut) worked abanay (stones) to banah (build) the bayath (house) of Alahayam ().

Dawad (David) kawan (prepared) barazal (iron) in rab (abundance) for the masamarayam (nails) for the dalathawath (doors) of the shairayam (gates), and for the machabarawath (couplings); and nachashath (brass) in rab (abundance) without mashaqal (weight);

And araz (cedar) itzay (trees) without rab (number): for the Tzayadanay (Sidonians) and they of tzaray (tyre) bawaa (bring) araz (cedar) itzay (trees) in abundance to Dawad (David).

Dawad (David) amar (spoke), “Shalamah (Solomon) my ban (son) is nair (young) and rak (tender), and the bayath (house) that is to be banah (build) for Yahawah () must be mail (top/above) magnificent, of sham (name) and of glory throughout all aratzawath (countries). I will therefore kawan (make) preparation for it.” So Dawad (David) kawan (prepared) rab (abundantly) panayam (face) his mawath (death).

Then he qaraa (called) for Shalamah (Solomon) his ban (son), and tzawah (commanded) him to banah (build) a bayath (house) for Yahawah (), the Alahayam () of Yashar-Al (Israel).

Dawad (David) amar (spoke) to Shalamah (Solomon) his ban (son), “As for me, it was in my labab (heart) to banah (build) a bayath (house) to the sham (name) of Yahawah () my Alahayam ().

But the dabar (word / matter) of Yahawah () came to me, amar (spoke), ‘You have shapak (shed) dam (blood) rab (abundantly), and ishah (make) made gadawal (very great/important/mighty) malachamawath (wars). You shall not banah (build) a bayath (house) to my sham (name), because you have shapak (shed) much dam (blood) on the aratz (Earth/land) in my panayam (face).

Behold, a ban (son) shall be yalad (birth / begot) to you, who shall be a ayash (man / husband) of manawachah (rest). I will give him nawach (rest) from all his ayab (enemy) all around; for his sham (name) shall be Shalamah (Solomon - Patriarch), and I will nathan (give) shalawam (peace / safety) and shaqat (quietness) to Yashar-Al (Israel) in his yawam (day).

He shall banah (build) a bayath (house) for my sham (name); and he shall be my ban (son), and I will be his ab (father); and I will kawan (establish) the kasaa (throne) of his malakawath (kingdom) over Yashar-Al (Israel) for iwalam (eternity).’

Now, my ban (son), may Yahawah () be with you and tzalach (prosper) you, and banah (build) the bayath (house) of Yahawah () your Alahayam (), as he has dabar (word / matter) concerning you.

May Yahawah () nathan (give) you shakal (discretion) and bayanah (understanding), and tzawah (put) you in charge of Yashar-Al (Israel); that so you may shamar (keep/guard) the thawarah (instruction) of Yahawah () your Alahayam ().

Then you will tzalach (prosper), if you shamar (keep/guard) to ishah (make) the chaqayam (statutes) and the mashapatayam (ordinances) which Yahawah () tzawah (gave) Mashah (Moses) concerning Yashar-Al (Israel). Be chazaq (strong), and amatz (courageous). Don't be yaraa (fear / be afraid), neither be chathath (dismayed).

Now, behold, in my inay (affliction) I have kawan (prepared) for the bayath (house) of Yahawah () one maah (hundred) alap (thousand) kakarayam (talents) of zahab (gold), alap (one) million kakarayam (talents) of kasap (silver), and nachashath (brass) and barazal (iron) without mashaqal (weight); for it is in rab (abundance). I have also kawan (prepared) itz (timber) and aban (stone); and you may yasap (add) to them.

There are also workmen with you in rab (abundance), cutters and charashay (workers) of aban (stone) and itz (timber), and all kinds of chakam (men) who are skillful in every kind of malaakah (work):

Of the zahab (gold), the kasap (silver), and the nachashath (brass), and the barazal (iron), there is no masapar (number). Qawam (rise up) and be ishah (make), and may Yahawah () be with you.”

Dawad (David) also tzawah (commanded) all the sharay (princes) of Yashar-Al (Israel) to izar (help) Shalamah (Solomon - Patriarch) his ban (son), saying,

“Isn't Yahawah () your Alahayam () with you? Hasn't he given you nawach (rest) on sabayab (surrounding) side? For he nathan (give) delivered the yashabay (inhabitants) of the aratz (Earth/land) into my yad (hand); and the aratz (Earth/land) is kabash (subdued) panayam (face) Yahawah (), and panayam (face) his im (nation / people).

Now nathan (give) your labab (heart) and your napash (soul) to darash (seek) after Yahawah () your Alahayam (). Qawam (rise up) therefore, and banah (build) the maqadash (sanctuary) of Yahawah () Alahayam (), to bawaa (come) the arawan (ark) of the barayath (covenant) of Yahawah (), and the qadash (set apart / make holy) kalay (vessels) of Alahayam (), into the bayath (house) that is to be banah (build) to the sham (name) of Yahawah ().”
