1 Now Dawad (David) was zaqan (old) and shabai (full) of yamayam (days); and he made Shalamah (Solomon - Patriarch) his ban (son) malak (king) over Yashar-Al (Israel).
2 He asap (gathered) together all the sharay (princes) of Yashar-Al (Israel), with the kahanayam (priests) and the Lawayay (Levites).
3 The Lawayay (Levites) were sapar (book) from shalawashayam (thirty) years old and upward: and their masapar (number) by their galagalath (polls), gabar (man) by gabar (man), was shalawashayam (thirty) - shamanah (eight) alap (thousand).
4 Dawad (David) said, “Of these, isharayam (twenty) - arabai (four) alap (thousand) were to natzach (oversee) the malaakah (work) of the bayath (house) of Yahawah (); shash (six) alap (thousand) were shatarayam (officers) and shapatayam (judges);
5 Arabai (four) alap (thousand) were shairayam (doorkeepers); and arabai (four) alap (thousand) halal (praise) Yahawah () with the kalayam (instruments) which I ishah (make), for giving halal (praise).”
6 Dawad (David) chalaq (divided) them into machalaqawath (divisions) according to the banay (sons) of Laway (Levi): Garashawan (Gershon), Qahath (Kohath), and Mararay (Merari).
7 Of the garashanay (gershonites): Laidan (Ladan) and Shamaiy (Shimei).
8 The banay (my son) of Laidan (Ladan): Yachayaal (Jehiel) the raash (head), and Zatham (Zetham), and Yawaal (Joel), shalawash (three).
9 The banay (my son) of Shamaiy (Shimei): Shalamawath (Shelomoth), and Chazayaal (Haziel), and Haran (Haran), shalawash (three). These were the raashay (heads) of the abawath (fathers)’ households of Laidan (Ladan).
10 The banay (my son) of Shamaiy (Shimei): Yachath (Jahath), Zayanaa (Zina), and Yaiwash (Jeush), and Barayaih (Beriah). These arabai (four) were the banay (my son) of Shamaiy (Shimei).
11 Yachath (Jahath) was the raash (head), and Zayazah (Zizah) the shanay (second): but Yaiwash (Jeush) and Barayaih (Beriah) didn't rabah (have) many banayam (sons); therefore they became a ab (father)’ bayath (house) in achad (one) paqadah (reckoning).
12 The banay (my son) of Qahath (Kohath): Imaram (Amram), Yatzahar (fresh oil), Chabarawan (Hebron), and Izayaal (Uzziel), arabai (four).
13 The banay (sons) of Imaram (Amram): Aharawan (Aaron) and Mashah (Moses); and Aharawan (Aaron) was badal (separated), that he should qadash (set apart / make holy) the most qadash (set apart / make holy) things, he and his banay (sons), iwalam (forever), to qatar (burn) incense panayam (face) Yahawah (), to sharath (minister) to him, and to barak (blessed) in his sham (name), iwalam (forever).
14 But as for Mashah (Moses) the ayash (man / husband) of Alahayam (), his ban (son) were qaraa (called) among the shabat (tribe) of Laway (Levi).
15 The banay (my son) of Mashah (Moses): Garasham (Gershom) and Alayaizar (Eliezer).
16 The banay (my son) of Garasham (Gershom): Shabawaal (Shebuel) the raash (head).
17 The banay (my son) of Alayaizar (Eliezer) were: Rachabayah (Rehabiah) the raash (head); and Alayaizar (Eliezer) had no other banay (my son); but the banay (my son) of Rachabayah (Rehabiah) were very many.
18 The banay (my son) of Yatzahar (fresh oil): Shalamayath (Shelomith) the raash (head).
19 The banay (my son) of Chabarawan (Hebron): Yarayah (Jeriah) the raash (head), Amarayah (Amariah) the shanay (second), Yachazayaal (Jahaziel) the shalayashay (third), and Yaqamaim (Jekameam) the rabayaiy (fourth).
20 The banay (my son) of Izayaal (Uzziel): Mayakah (Micah) the raash (head), and Yashayah (Isshiah) the shanay (second).
21 The banay (my son) of Mararay (Merari): Machalay (Mahli) and Mawashay (Mushi). The banay (my son) of Machalay (Mahli): Alaizar (Eleazar) and Qayash (Kish).
22 Alaizar (Eleazar) mawath (death), and had no banayam (sons), but banawath (daughters) only: and their ach (brother/kinsman) the banayam (sons) of Qayash (Kish) nashaa (lift) them as wives.
23 The banay (my son) of Mawashay (Mushi): Machalay (Mahli), and Idar (Eder), and Yarayamawath (Jeremoth), shalawash (three).
24 These were the banay (sons) of Laway (Levi) after their abawath (fathers)’ bayath (house), even the raashay (heads) of the abawath (fathers)’ houses of those who were paqad (visit) individually, in the masapar (number) of shamawath (names) by their galagalath (polls), who ishah (make) the malaakah (work) for the ibadah (service) of the bayath (house) of Yahawah (), from isharayam (twenty) years ban (son) and upward.
25 For Dawad (David) amar (spoke), “Yahawah (), the Alahayam () of Yashar-Al (Israel), has given nawach (rest) to his im (nation / people); and he shakan (place) in Yarawashalam (Jerusalem) iwalam (forever).
26 Also the Lawayay (Levites) will no longer nashaa (lift) to carry the mashakan (tabernacle) and all its kalay (vessels) for its ibadah (service).”
27 For by the acharawan (last) dabaray (words) of Dawad (David) the lawayay (sons) of Laway (Levi) were masapar (numbered), from isharayam (twenty) shanah (years) ban (son) and upward.
28 For their maimad (office) was to yad (hand) on the banay (sons) of Aharawan (Aaron) for the ibadah (service) of the bayath (house) of Yahawah (), in the chatzarawath (courts), and in the rooms, and in the purifying of all qadash (set apart / make holy) things, even the maishah (work) of the ibadah (service) of the bayath (house) of Alahayam ();
29 For the show lacham (bread) also, and for the fine salath (flour) for a meal manachah (offering), whether of unleavened raqayaqay (wafers), or of that which is baked in the machabath (pan), or of that which is soaked, and for all kinds of mashawarah (measure) and madah (size);
30 And to imad (stand) every baqar (morning) to yadah (thank) and halal (praise) Yahawah (), and likewise in the irab (evening);
31 And to ilah (go up / offer) all burnt ilawath (offerings) to Yahawah (), on the shabathawath (sabbaths), on the new chadashayam (moons), and on the mawaid (Feast/Holy Day) feasts, in masapar (number) according to the mashapat (ordinance) concerning them, continually panayam (face) Yahawah ();
32 And that they should shamar (keep/guard) the duty of the ahal (tent) of Meeting, and the duty of the qadash (set apart / make holy) place, and the duty of the banay (sons) of Aharawan (Aaron) their ach (brother/kinsman), for the ibadah (service) of the bayath (house) of Yahawah ().
