Chronicles 28 — English–Hebrew Parallel

Dawad (David) qahal (assembled) all the sharay (princes) of Yashar-Al (Israel), the sharay (princes) of the shabatayam (tribes), and the sharay (captains) of the machalaqawath (companies) who sharath (served) the malak (king) by machalaqath (division), and the sharay (captains) of alapayam (thousands), and the sharay (captains) of maawath (hundreds), and the rulers over all the rakawash (wealth / property / goods / possessions) and maqanah (possessions) of the malak (king) and of his ban (son), with the sarayasayam (officers), and the gabawar (mighty) men, even all the gabawar (mighty) men of valor, to Yarawashalam (Yarawashalam / Jerusalem).

Then Dawad (David) the malak (king) qawam (rise up) up on his ragalay (feet), and amar (spoke), “shamai (hearken / hear) me, my ach (brother/kinsman), and my im (nation / people)! As for me, it was in my labab (heart) to banah (build) a bayath (house) of manawachah (rest) for the arawan (ark) of the barayath (covenant) of Yahawah (), and for the hadam (footstool) of our Alahayam (); and I had kawan (prepared) for the banah (build).

But Alahayam () amar (spoke) to me, ‘You shall not banah (build) a bayath (house) for my sham (name), because you are a ayash (man / husband) of malachamah (war), and have shapak (shed) dam (blood).’

However Yahawah (), the Alahayam () of Yashar-Al (Israel), bachar (chose) me out of all the bayath (house) of my ab (father) to be malak (king) over Yashar-Al (Israel) iwalam (forever). For he has bachar (chosen) Yahawadah (Judah) to be nagayad (prince); and in the bayath (house) of Yahawadah (Judah), the bayath (house) of my ab (father); and among the banay (sons) of my ab (father) he ratzah (took) pleasure in me to make me malak (king) over all Yashar-Al (Israel).

Of all my banayam (sons) (for Yahawah () nathan (give) given me many banayam (sons)), he has bachar (chosen) Shalamah (Solomon) my ban (son) to yashab (inhabit/dwell) on the kasaa (throne) of Yahawah () malakawath (kingdom) over Yashar-Al (Israel).

He amar (said) to me, ‘Shalamah (Solomon - Patriarch), your ban (son), shall banah (build) my bayath (house) and my chatzar (courts); for I have bachar (chosen) him to be my ban (son), and I will be his ab (father).

I will kawan (establish) his malakawath (kingdom) iwalam (eternity), if he chazaq (continues) to ishah (make) my matzawah (commandments) and my mashapat (ordinances), as at this yawam (day).’

Now therefore, in the iyan (eye) of all Yashar-Al (Israel), the qahal (assembly) of Yahawah (), and in the azan (ear) of our Alahayam (), shamar (keep/guard) and darash (seek) out all the matzawath (commandments) of Yahawah () your Alahayam (); that you may yarash (possess) this tawab (good / proper function) aratz (Earth/land), and leave it for an nachal (inheritance) to your ban (son) achar (other) you iwalam (forever).

You, Shalamah (Solomon) my ban (son), yadai (know) the Alahayam () of your ab (father), and ibad (servant) him with a shalam (full / whole / complete) lab (heart) and with a chapatz (willing) napash (soul); for Yahawah () searches all lababawath (hearts), and bayan (between) all the yatzar (imaginations) of the machashabawath (thoughts). If you darash (seek) him, he will be matzaa (found) by you; but if you izab (forsake) him, he will zanach (cast) you off id (until / as far as).

Raah (see) heed now; for Yahawah () has bachar (chosen) you to banah (build) a bayath (house) for the maqadash (sanctuary). Be chazaq (strong), and ishah (make) it.”

Then Dawad (David) nathan (give) to Shalamah (Solomon - Patriarch) his ban (son) the thabanayath (pattern) of the awalam (porch) of the bayath (house), and of its houses, and of its ganazak (treasuries), and of the upper rooms of it, and of the inner rooms of it, and of the bayath (house) of the kaparath (mercy) seat;

And the thabanayath (pattern) of all that he had by the rawach (spirit / wind), for the chatzarawath (courts) of the bayath (house) of Yahawah (), and for all the surrounding rooms, for the atzarawath (treasuries) of the bayath (house) of Alahayam (), and for the atzarawath (treasuries) of the qadash (set apart / make holy) things;

Also for the machalaqawath (divisions) of the kahanayam (priests) and the Lawayay (Levites), and for all the malaakah (work) of the ibadah (service) of the bayath (house) of Yahawah (), and for all the kalay (vessels) of ibadah (service) in the bayath (house) of Yahawah ();

Of zahab (gold) by mashaqal (weight) for the zahab (gold), for all kalay (vessels) of every kind of ibadah (service); for all the kalay (vessels) of kasap (silver) by mashaqal (weight), for all kalay (vessels) of every kind of ibadah (service);

By mashaqal (weight) also for the lampstands of zahab (gold), and for its nayar (lamps), of zahab (gold), by mashaqal (weight) for every lampstand and for its nayar (lamps); and for the lampstands of kasap (silver), by mashaqal (weight) for every lampstand and for its nayar (lamps), according to the use of every lampstand;

And the zahab (gold) by mashaqal (weight) for the shalachanawath (tables) of show mairakath (bread), for every shalachan (table); and kasap (silver) for the shalachanawath (tables) of kasap (silver);

And the forks, and the basins, and the cups, of tahawar (pure) zahab (gold); and for the zahab (gold) bowls by mashaqal (weight) for every bowl; and for the kasap (silver) bowls by mashaqal (weight) for every bowl;

And for the mazabach (altar) of qatarath (incense) zaqaq (refined) zahab (gold) by mashaqal (weight); and zahab (gold) for the thabanayath (pattern) of the marakabah (chariot), the karawab (cherubim), that parash (spread) out, and sakak (covered) the arawan (ark) of the barayath (covenant) of Yahawah ().

“All this”, said Dawad (David), “I shakal (have) been made to understand in kathab (write) from the yad (hand) of Yahawah (), even all the malaakawath (works) of this thabanayath (pattern).”

Dawad (David) amar (spoke) to Shalamah (Solomon) his ban (son), “Be chazaq (strong) and amatz (courageous), and ishah (make) it. Don't be yaraa (fear / be afraid), nor be chathath (dismayed); for Yahawah () Alahayam (), even my Alahayam (), is with you. He will not rapah (fail) you, nor izab (forsake) you, until all the malaakah (work) for the ibadah (service) of the bayath (house) of Yahawah () is kalah (complete / finish).

Behold, there are the machalaqawath (divisions) of the kahanayam (priests) and the Lawayay (Levites), for all the ibadah (service) of the bayath (house) of Alahayam (). There shall be with you in all kinds of malaakah (work) every nadayab (willing) chakamah (man) who has skill, for any kind of ibadah (service). Also the sharayam (captains) and all the im (nation / people) will be entirely at your command.”
