Rachabaim (Rehoboam) yalak (went) to Shakam (Shechem): for all Yashar-Al (Israel) bawaa (bring) come to Shakam (Shechem) to make him malak (king).
It happened, when Yarabaim (Jeroboam) the ban (son) of Nabat (Nebat) shamai (hearken / hear) of it (for he was yet in Matzarayam (Matzarayam / Egypt), where he had barach (fled) from the panayam (face) of malak (king) Shalamah (Solomon - Patriarch), and Yarabaim (Jeroboam) lived in Matzarayam (Matzarayam / Egypt),
And they shalach (send) and qaraa (called) him), that Yarabaim (Jeroboam) and all the qahal (assembly) of Yashar-Al (Israel) bawaa (bring), and dabar (word / matter) to Rachabaim (Rehoboam), amar (said),
“Your ab (father) qashah (rough / hard) our il (over) qashah (rough / hard): now therefore make you the qashah (rough / hard) ibadah (service) of your ab (father), and his kabad (heavy) il (over) which he nathan (give) on us, lighter, and we will ibad (servant) you.”
He amar (said) to them, “Depart for shalawash (three) yamayam (days), then shawab (turn) back to me.” The im (nation / people) departed.
Malak (king) Rachabaim (Rehoboam) took yaitz (counsel) with the zaqan (old) men, who had imad (stood) panayam (face) Shalamah (Solomon - Patriarch) his ab (father) while he yet chay (life), amar (said), “What yaitz (counsel) do you give me to shawab (turn) dabar (word / matter) to this im (nation / people)?”
They dabar (word / matter) to him, amar (said), “If you will be a ibad (servant) to this im (nation / people) this yawam (day), and will ibad (servant) them, and inah (answer / respond) them, and dabar (word / matter) tawab (good / proper function) dabarayam (words) to them, then they will be your ibadayam (servants) yawam (day).”
But he forsook the itzah (counsel) of the zaqan (old) men which they had yaitz (given) him, and took yaitz (counsel) with the yalad (birth / begot) men who had gadal (grown) up with him, who imad (stood) panayam (face) him.
He amar (said) to them, “What yaitz (counsel) do you give, that we may return dabar (word / matter) to this im (nation / people), who have dabar (word / matter) to me, amar (said), ‘qalal (make) the il (over) that your ab (father) nathan (give) on us lighter?’”
The yalad (birth / begot) men who had gadal (grown) up with him dabar (word / matter) to him, “amar (said), Thus you shall amar (said) this im (nation / people) who amar (said) to you, amar (said), ‘Your ab (father) kabad (made) our il (over) kabad (heavy), but qalal (make) it lighter to us;’ you shall dabar (word / matter) to them, ‘My qatan (small / young / least) finger is ibah (thicker) than my ab (father) waist.
Now whereas my ab (father) imas (burdened) you with a kabad (heavy) il (over), I will yasap (add) to your il (over): my ab (father) yasar (chastised) you with shawatayam (whips), but I will yasar (chastise) you with iqarabayam (scorpions).’”
So Yarabaim (Jeroboam) and all the im (nation / people) bawaa (bring) to Rachabaim (Rehoboam) the shalayashay (third) yawam (day), as the malak (king) asked, amar (said), “shawab (turn) to me again the shalayashay (third) yawam (day).”
The malak (king) inah (answer / respond) the im (nation / people) qashah (rough / hard), and forsook the itzah (counsel) of the zaqan (old) men which they had yaitz (given) him,
And dabar (word / matter) to them according to the itzah (counsel) of the yalad (birth / begot) men, amar (said), “My ab (father) kabad (made) your il (over) kabad (heavy), but I will yasap (add) to your il (over). My ab (father) yasar (chastised) you with shawatayam (whips), but I will yasar (chastise) you with iqarabayam (scorpions).”
So the malak (king) didn't shamai (hearken / hear) to the im (nation / people); for it was a thing brought about of Yahawah (), that he might qawam (rise up) his dabar (word / matter), which Yahawah () dabar (word / matter) by Achayah (Ahijah) the Shayalawanay (Shilonite) to Yarabaim (Jeroboam) the ban (son) of Nabat (Nebat).
When all Yashar-Al (Israel) raah (see / saw) that the malak (king) didn't shamai (hearken / hear) to them, the im (nation / people) dabar (word / matter) the malak (king), amar (said), “What chalaq (portion) have we in Dawad (David)? Neither do we have an nachalah (inheritance) in the ban (son) of Yashay (Jesse). To your ahal (tents), Yashar-Al (Israel)! Now raah (see / saw) to your own bayath (house), Dawad (David).” So Yashar-Al (Israel) departed to their ahal (tents).
But as for the banay (my son) of Yashar-Al (Israel) who lived in the iray (cities) of Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah), Rachabaim (Rehoboam) malak (king) over them.
Then malak (king) Rachabaim (Rehoboam) shalach (send) Adaram (Adoram), who was over the men subject to forced mas (labor); and all Yashar-Al (Israel) ragam (stoned) him to mawath (death) with aban (stone). Malak (king) Rachabaim (Rehoboam) amatz (made) speed to ilah (go up / offer) him up to his marakabah (chariot), to nawas (flee) to Yarawashalam (Yarawashalam / Jerusalem).
So Yashar-Al (Israel) pashai (rebelled) against the bayath (house) of Dawad (David) to this yawam (day).
It happened, when all Yashar-Al (Israel) shamai (hearken / hear) that Yarabaim (Jeroboam) was shawab (turn), that they shalach (send) and qaraa (called) him to the idah (congregation), and made him malak (king) over all Yashar-Al (Israel): there was none who achar (other) the bayath (house) of Dawad (David), but the shabat (tribe) of Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah) only.
When Rachabaim (Rehoboam) bawaa (bring) come to Yarawashalam (Yarawashalam / Jerusalem), he qahal (assembled) all the bayath (house) of Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah), and the shabat (tribe) of Banayamayan (Benjamin), a maah (hundred) and shamanayam (eighty) alap (thousand) bachar (chosen) men, who were ishah (make), to lacham (fight) against the bayath (house) of Yashar-Al (Israel), to shawab (turn) the malawakah (kingdom) again to Rachabaim (Rehoboam) the ban (son) of Shalamah (Solomon - Patriarch).
But the dabar (word / matter) of Alahayam () came to Shamaiyah (Shemaiah) the ayash (man / husband) of Alahayam (), amar (spoke),
“Amar (said) to Rachabaim (Rehoboam) the ban (son) of Shalamah (Solomon - Patriarch), malak (king) of Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah), and to all the bayath (house) of Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah) and Banayamayan (Benjamin), and to the yathar (rest) of the im (nation / people), amar (said),
‘Thus amar (spoke) Yahawah (), “You shall not ilah (go up / offer) up, nor lacham (fight) against your ach (brother/kinsman), the banay (children) of Yashar-Al (Israel). Everyone shawab (turn back / repent) to his bayath (house); for this thing is of me.”’” So they shamai (hearken / hear) to the dabar (word / matter) of Yahawah (), and shawab (turn back / repent) and went their yalak (way), according to the dabar (word / matter) of Yahawah ().
Then Yarabaim (Jeroboam) banah (build) Shakam (Shechem) in the har (mountain) country of Aparayam (Ephraim), and lived in it; and he yatzaa (go out / come out) out from there, and banah (build) Panawaal (Penuel).
Yarabaim (Jeroboam) amar (said) in his lab (heart), “Now the mamalakah (kingdom) will shawab (turn) to the bayath (house) of Dawad (David).
If this im (nation / people) ilah (go up / offer) up to ishah (make) zabachayam (sacrifices) in the bayath (house) of Yahawah () at Yarawashalam (Jerusalem), then the lab (heart) of this im (nation / people) will shawab (turn back / repent) again to their Adawan (), even to Rachabaim (Rehoboam) malak (king) of Yahawadah (Judah); and they will harag (kill) me, and shawab (turn back / repent) to Rachabaim (Rehoboam) malak (king) of Yahawadah (Judah).”
Whereupon the malak (king) took yaitz (counsel), and ishah (make) shanayam (two) calves of zahab (gold); and he amar (spoke) to them, “It is rab (too) much for you to ilah (go up / offer) up to Yarawashalam (Jerusalem). Look and see your Alahayam (), Yashar-Al (Israel), which ilah (go up / offer) you up out of the aratz (Earth/land) of Matzarayam (Egypt)!”
He shawam (place / establish / appoint) the achad (one) in Bayath-Al (Bethel), and the other nathan (give) he in Dan (Dan).
This thing became a chataah (sin); for the im (nation / people) yalak (went) to worship panayam (face) the achad (one), even to Dan (Dan).
He ishah (make) bayath (house) of bamah (high) places, and ishah (make) kahanayam (priests) from among all the im (nation / people), who were not of the banay (my son) of Laway (Levi).
Yarabaim (Jeroboam) ordained a chag (feast/festival) in the shamayanay (eighth) chadash (month), on the fifteenth yawam (day) of the chadash (month), like the chag (feast/festival) that is in Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah), and he ilah (go up / offer) up to the mazabach (altar); he ishah (make) so in Bayath-Al (Bethel), zabach (sacrificing) to the calves that he ishah (make) made: and he imad (placed) in Bayath-Al (Bethel) the kahanay (priests) of the bamah (high) places that he ishah (make) made.
He ilah (go up / offer) up to the mazabach (altar) which he ishah (make) made in Bayath-Al (Bethel) on the fifteenth yawam (day) in the shamayanay (eighth) chadash (month), even in the chadash (month) which he had badaa (devised) of his own heart: and he ordained a chag (feast/festival) for the banay (my son) of Yashar-Al (Israel), and ilah (go up / offer) up to the mazabach (altar), to qatar (burn) incense.
