Kings 6 — English–Hebrew Parallel

It happened in the arabai (four) maah (hundred) and shamanayam (eightieth) shanah (year) after the banay (children) of Yashar-Al (Israel) yatzaa (go out / come out) come out of the aratz (Earth/land) of Matzarayam (Egypt), in the rabayaiy (fourth) shanah (year) of Shalamah (Solomon's) malak (king) over Yashar-Al (Israel), in the chadash (month) Zaw (Ziv), which is the shanay (second) chadash (month), that he began to banah (build) the bayath (house) of Yahawah ().

The bayath (house) which malak (king) Shalamah (Solomon) banah (build) for Yahawah (), its arak (length) was shashayam (sixty) amah (cubits), and its rachab (breadth) isharayam (twenty), and its qawamah (height) shalawashayam (thirty) amah (cubits).

The awalam (porch) panayam (face) the hayakal (temple) of the bayath (house), isharayam (twenty) amah (cubits) was its arak (length), according to the rachab (breadth) of the bayath (house). Ishar (ten) amah (cubits) was its rachab (breadth) before the bayath (house).

For the bayath (house) he ishah (make) chalawanay (windows) of fixed lattice shaqap (work).

Against the qayar (wall) of the bayath (house) he banah (build) stories all around, against the qayarawath (walls) of the bayath (house) all around, both of the hayakal (temple) and of the dabayar (oracle); and he ishah (make) tzalai (side) rooms all around.

The thachathawan (nethermost) story was chamash (five) amah (cubits) rachab (broad), and the thayakawan (middle) was shash (six) amah (cubits) rachab (broad), and the shalayashay (third) was shabai (seven) amah (cubits) rachab (broad); for on the outside he nathan (give) offsets in the wall of the bayath (house) all around, that the beams should not achaz (have) hold in the qayarawath (walls) of the bayath (house).

The bayath (house), when it was in banah (build), was banah (build) of aban (stone) prepared at the quarry; and there was neither maqabah (hammer) nor axe nor any kalay (tool) of barazal (iron) shamai (hearken / hear) in the bayath (house), while it was in banah (build).

The pathach (door) for the thayakawan (middle) tzalai (side) rooms was in the yamanay (right) kathap (side) of the bayath (house): and they ilah (go up / offer) up by lawal (winding) stairs into the thayakawan (middle) story, and out of the thayakawan (middle) into the shalayashay (third).

So he banah (build) the bayath (house), and kalah (complete / finish) it; and he sapan (covered) the bayath (house) with gabayam (beams) and planks of araz (cedar).

He banah (build) the stories against all the bayath (house), each chamash (five) amawath (cubits) qawamah (high): and they rested on the bayath (house) with itz (timber) of araz (cedar).

The dabar (word / matter) of Yahawah () came to Shalamah (Solomon), amar (spoke),

“Concerning this bayath (house) which you are banah (build), if you will yalak (walk) in my chaqah (statutes), and ishah (make) my mashapat (ordinances), and shamar (keep/guard) all my matzawah (commandments) to yalak (walk) in them; then will I qawam (rise up) my dabar (word / matter) with you, which I dabar (word / matter) to Dawad (David) your ab (father).

I will shakan (place) thawak (midst) the banay (my son) of Yashar-Al (Israel), and will not izab (forsake) my im (nation / people) Yashar-Al (Israel).”

So Shalamah (Solomon - Patriarch) banah (build) the bayath (house), and kalah (complete / finish) it.

He banah (build) the qayarawath (walls) of the bayath (house) bayath (house) with tzalaiwath (boards) of araz (cedar): from the qaraqai (floor) of the bayath (house) to the qayarawath (walls) of the ceiling, he tzapah (covered) them on the bayath (house) with itz (wood); and he tzapah (covered) the qaraqai (floor) of the bayath (house) with tzalaiwath (boards) of barawash (fir).

He banah (build) isharayam (twenty) amah (cubits) on the hinder part of the bayath (house) with tzalaiwath (boards) of araz (cedar) from the qaraqai (floor) to the ceiling: he banah (build) them for it bayath (house), for an dabayar (oracle), even for the most qadash (set apart / make holy) place.

In front of the hayakal (temple) bayath (house) was arabaiyam (forty) amah (cubits).

There was araz (cedar) on the bayath (house) panayamah (within), maqalaith (carved) with buds and open tzatzayam (flowers): all was araz (cedar); there was no aban (stone) raah (see / saw).

He kawan (prepared) an dabayar (oracle) in the midst of the bayath (house) panayamah (within), to nathan (give) there the arawan (ark) of the barayath (covenant) of Yahawah ().

Within the dabayar (oracle) was isharayam (twenty) amah (cubits) in arak (length), and isharayam (twenty) amah (cubits) in rachab (breadth), and isharayam (twenty) amah (cubits) in its qawamah (height); and he overlaid it with sagar (pure) zahab (gold): and he tzapah (covered) the mazabach (altar) with araz (cedar).

So Shalamah (Solomon - Patriarch) overlaid the bayath (house) panayamah (within) with sagar (pure) zahab (gold): and he drew rathayaqawath (chains) of zahab (gold) across panayam (face) the dabayar (oracle); and he overlaid it with zahab (gold).

The whole bayath (house) he overlaid with zahab (gold), until all the bayath (house) was finished: also the whole mazabach (altar) that belonged to the dabayar (oracle) he overlaid with zahab (gold).

In the dabayar (oracle) he ishah (make) shanayam (two) karawab (cherubim) of shaman (olive) itz (wood), each ishar (ten) amawath (cubits) qawamah (high).

Chamash (five) amawath (cubits) was the achad (one) kanap (wing) of the karawab (cherub), and chamash (five) amawath (cubits) the other kanap (wing) of the karawab (cherub): from the uttermost part of the one kanap (wing) to the uttermost part of the other were ishar (ten) amawath (cubits).

The other karawab (cherub) was ishar (ten) amah (cubits): shanayam (two) the karawab (cherubim) were of achad (one) madah (measure) and achad (one) form.

The qawamah (height) of the achad (one) karawab (cherub) was ishar (ten) amah (cubits), and so was it of the other karawab (cherub).

He nathan (give) the karawab (cherubim) thawak (midst) the inner bayath (house); and the kanapay (wings) of the karawab (cherubim) were parash (stretched) forth, so that the kanap (wing) of the achad (one) nagai (touched) the one qayar (wall), and the kanap (wing) of the other karawab (cherub) nagai (touched) the other qayar (wall); and their kanapay (wings) nagai (touched) kanap (one) another in the thawak (midst) of the bayath (house).

He overlaid the karawab (cherubim) with zahab (gold).

He qalai (carved) all the qayarawath (walls) of the bayath (house) around with pathawach (carved) figures of karawab (cherubim) and thamar (palm) trees and open tzatzayam (flowers), inside and outside.

The qaraqai (floor) of the bayath (house) he overlaid with zahab (gold), inside and outside.

For the pathach (entrance) of the dabayar (oracle) he ishah (make) dalathawath (doors) of shaman (olive) itz (wood): the ayal (lintel) and mazawazah (door) posts were a chamayashay (fifth) part of the wall.

So he made shanayam (two) dalathawath (doors) of shaman (olive) itz (wood); and he qalai (carved) on them maqalaiwath (carvings) of karawab (cherubim) and thamar (palm) trees and open tzatzayam (flowers), and overlaid them with zahab (gold); and he radad (spread) the zahab (gold) on the karawab (cherubim), and on the thamar (palm) trees.

So also ishah (make) he for the pathach (entrance) of the hayakal (temple) mazawazah (door) posts of shaman (olive) itz (wood), out of a rabayaiy (fourth) part of the wall;

And shanayam (two) dalathawath (doors) of barawash (fir) itz (wood): the shanayam (two) leaves of the achad (one) dalath (door) were galayal (folding), and the shanayam (two) leaves of the other dalath (door) were galayal (folding).

He qalai (carved) karawab (cherubim) and thamar (palm) trees and open tzatzayam (flowers); and he overlaid them with zahab (gold) yashar (upright) on the engraved chaqah (work).

He banah (build) the inner chatzar (court) with shalawash (three) courses of cut gazayath (stone), and a course of araz (cedar) karathath (beams).

In the rabayaiy (fourth) shanah (year) was the yasad (foundation) of the bayath (house) of Yahawah () yasad (laid), in the yarach (month) Zaw (Ziv).

In the eleventh shanah (year), in the yarach (month) Bawal (Bul), which is the shamayanay (eighth) yarach (month), was the bayath (house) kalah (complete / finish) throughout all its dabar (word / matter), and according to all its mashapat (fashion). So was he shabai (seven) shanayam (two) in banah (build) it.
