2 Chronicles 30 — English–Hebrew Parallel

1 Chazaqayah (Hezekiah) shalach (send) to all Yashar-Al (Israel) and Yahawadah (Judah), and kathab (write) agarawath (letters) also to Aparayam (Ephraim) and Manashah (Manasseh), that they should bawaa (come) to the bayath (house) of Yahawah () at Yarawashalam (Jerusalem), to ishah (make) the pasach (passover) to Yahawah (), the Alahayam () of Yashar-Al (Israel).

2 For the malak (king) had taken yaitz (counsel), and his shar (prince / ruler), and all the qahal (assembly) in Yarawashalam (Yarawashalam / Jerusalem), to ishah (make) the pasach (passover) in the shanay (second) chadash (month).

3 For they yakal (could) not ishah (make) it at that ith (time), because the kahanayam (priests) had not qadash (set apart / make holy) themselves in sufficient number, neither had the im (nation / people) asap (gathered) themselves together to Yarawashalam (Yarawashalam / Jerusalem).

4 The thing was yashar (upright) in the eyes of the malak (king) and of all the qahal (assembly).

5 So they imad (established) a dabar (word / matter) to ibar (pass over/through) proclamation throughout all Yashar-Al (Israel), from Baar-Shabai (Beersheba) even to Dan (Dan), that they should bawaa (come) to ishah (make) the pasach (passover) to Yahawah (), the Alahayam () of Yashar-Al (Israel), at Yarawashalam (Jerusalem): for they ishah (make) not kept it in rab (great) numbers in such sort as it is kathab (write).

6 So the couriers yalak (went) with the agarawath (letters) from the malak (king) and his shar (prince / ruler) throughout all Yashar-Al (Israel) and Yahawadah (Judah), and according to the matzawah (commandment) of the malak (king), amar (spoke), “You banay (children) of Yashar-Al (Israel), shawab (turn back / repent) again to Yahawah (), the Alahayam () of Abaraham (Abraham), Yatzachaq (Isaac), and Yashar-Al (Israel), that he may shawab (turn back / repent) to the shaar (remnant) that have palayatah (escaped) of you out of the kap (hand) of the malakay (kings) of Ashawar (Assyria).

7 Don't be like your ab (father), and like your ach (brother/kinsman), who mail (top/above) against Yahawah (), the Alahayam () of their ab (father), so that he nathan (give) them up to shamah (desolation), as you raah (see).

8 Now don't be stiff-necked, as your ab (father) were; but nathan (give) yad (hand) to Yahawah (), and bawaa (come) into his maqadash (sanctuary), which he has qadash (set apart / make holy) iwalam (forever), and ibad (servant) Yahawah () your Alahayam (), that his charawan (fierce) ap (nostril / picture: bull snorting) may shawab (turn back / repent) away from you.

9 For if you shawab (turn back / repent) again to Yahawah (), your ach (brother/kinsman) and your ban (son) shall find racham (show mercy / love) panayam (face) those who shabah (led) them captive, and shall shawab (turn back / repent) again into this aratz (Earth/land): for Yahawah () your Alahayam () is chanawan (gracious) and rachawam (merciful), and will not sawar (turn) away his panayam (face) from you, if you shawab (turn back / repent) to him.”

10 So the couriers ibar (pass over/through) from iyar (city) to iyar (city) through the aratz (Earth/land) of Aparayam (Ephraim) and Manashah (Manasseh), even to Zabawalawan (Zebulun): but they ridiculed them, and laig (mocked) them.

11 Nevertheless ayash (man / husband) men of Ashar (who/that) and Manashah (Manasseh) and of Zabawalawan (Zebulun) kanai (humbled) themselves, and bawaa (bring) to Yarawashalam (Yarawashalam / Jerusalem).

12 Also on Yahawadah (Judah) came the yad (hand) of Alahayam () to nathan (give) them achad (one) lab (heart), to ishah (make) the matzawah (commandment) of the malak (king) and of the sharayam (princes) by the dabar (word / matter) of Yahawah ().

13 Many im (nation / people) asap (assembled) at Yarawashalam (Yarawashalam / Jerusalem) to ishah (make) the chag (feast/festival) of unleavened matzah (bread) in the shanay (second) chadash (month), a very rab (great) qahal (assembly).

14 They qawam (rise up) and sawar (took) away the mazabachawath (altars) that were in Yarawashalam (Yarawashalam / Jerusalem), and all the altars for qatar (incense) sawar (took) they away, and shalak (cast) them into the nachal (stream / river) Qadarawan (Kidron).

15 Then they shachat (killed) the pasach (passover) on the fourteenth day of the shanay (second) chadash (month): and the kahanayam (priests) and the Lawayay (Levites) were kalam (ashamed), and qadash (set apart / make holy) themselves, and bawaa (come) burnt ilawath (offerings) into the bayath (house) of Yahawah ().

16 They imad (stood) in their imad (place) after their mashapat (order), according to the thawarah (instruction) of Mashah (Moses) the ayash (man / husband) of Alahayam (): the kahanayam (priests) zaraq (sprinkled) the dam (blood) which they received of the yad (hand) of the Lawayay (Levites).

17 For there were many in the qahal (assembly) who had not qadash (set apart / make holy) themselves: therefore the Lawayay (Levites) were in charge of shachayatah (killing) the pasachayam (passovers) for everyone who was not tahawar (clean), to qadash (set apart / make holy) them to Yahawah ().

18 For a marabayath (multitude) of the im (nation / people), even many of Aparayam (Ephraim) and Manashah (Manasseh), Yashashakar (Issachar) and Zabawalawan (Zebulun), had not tahar (cleansed) themselves, yet they akal (eat) the pasach (passover) otherwise than it is kathab (write). For Chazaqayah (Hezekiah) had palal (prayed) for them, amar (spoke), “May the tawab (good / proper function) Yahawah () kapar (pardon) everyone

19 Who kawan (sets) his labab (heart) to darash (seek) Alahayam (), Yahawah (), the Alahayam () of his ab (father), even if they aren't clean according to the taharah (purification) of the qadash (set apart / make holy).”

20 Yahawah () shamai (hearken / hear) to Chazaqayah (Hezekiah), and rapaa (healed) the im (nation / people).

21 The banay (children) of Yashar-Al (Israel) who were matzaa (present) at Yarawashalam (Jerusalem) ishah (make) the chag (feast/festival) of unleavened matzah (bread) shabai (seven) yamayam (days) with gadawal (very great/important/mighty) shamachah (gladness); and the Lawayay (Levites) and the kahanayam (priests) halal (praise) Yahawah () yawam (day) by yawam (day), singing with iz (strength / might / refuge) kalay (instruments) to Yahawah ().

22 Chazaqayah (Hezekiah) dabar (word / matter) lab (heart) to all the Lawayay (Levites) who had tawab (good / proper function) shakal (understanding) in the service of Yahawah (). So they akal (eat) throughout the mawaid (Feast/Holy Day) for the shabai (seven) yamayam (days), zabach (offering) sacrifices of shalam (peace) mazabachayam (offerings), and making yadah (confession) to Yahawah (), the Alahayam () of their ab (father).

23 The whole qahal (assembly) took yaitz (counsel) to ishah (make) other shabai (seven) yamayam (days); and they ishah (make) another shabai (seven) yamayam (days) with shamachah (gladness).

24 For Chazaqayah (Hezekiah) malak (king) of Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah) rawam (will lift up) to the qahal (assembly) for offerings one alap (thousand) parayam (bulls) and shabai (seven) alap (thousand) tzaan (sheep); and the sharayam (princes) rawam (will lift up) to the qahal (assembly) a alap (thousand) parayam (bulls) and ishar (ten) alap (thousand) tzaan (sheep): and a rab (great) number of kahanayam (priests) qadash (set apart / make holy) themselves.

25 All the qahal (assembly) of Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah), with the kahanayam (priests) and the Lawayay (Levites), and all the qahal (assembly) who bawaa (bring) out of Yashar-Al (Israel), and the foreigners who bawaa (bring) out of the aratz (Earth/land) of Yashar-Al (Israel), and who lived in Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah), shamach (rejoiced).

26 So there was gadawal (very great/important/mighty) shamachah (joy) in Yarawashalam (Yarawashalam / Jerusalem); for yawam (day) the time of Shalamah (Solomon - Patriarch) the ban (son) of Dawad (David) malak (king) of Yashar-Al (Israel) there was not the like in Yarawashalam (Yarawashalam / Jerusalem).

27 Then the kahanayam (priests) the Lawayay (Levites) qawam (rise up) and barak (blessed) the im (nation / people): and their qawal (sound / voice) was shamai (hearken / hear), and their thapalah (prayer) bawaa (bring) up to his qadash (set apart / make holy) maiwan (habitation), even to shamayam (Shamayam / Heavens).
