1 In those yamayam (days) was Chazaqayah (Hezekiah) chalah (afflict) to mawath (death). Yashaiyah (Isaiah) the nabayaa (prophet/prophecy) the ban (son) of Amawatz (Amoz) bawaa (come) to him, and amar (spoke) to him, “Thus amar (spoke) Yahawah (), ‘Set your bayath (house) in tzawah (order); for you shall mawath (death), and not chayah (live).’”
2 Then he sabab (turned) his panayam (face) to the qayar (wall), and palal (prayed) to Yahawah (), amar (spoke),
3 “Zakar (remember) now, Yahawah (), I beg you, how I have halak (move) panayam (face) you in amath (truth) and with a shalam (full / whole / complete) labab (heart), and ishah (make) done that which is tawab (good / proper function) in your iyan (eye).” Chazaqayah (Hezekiah) bakah (wept) bitterly.
4 It happened, before Yashaiyah (Isaiah) yatzaa (go out / come out) gone out into the thayakawan (middle) part of the city, that the dabar (word / matter) of Yahawah () came to him, amar (spoke),
5 “Shawab (turn back / repent) back, and amar (spoke) Chazaqayah (Hezekiah) the nagayad (prince) of my im (nation / people), ‘Thus amar (spoke) Yahawah (), the Alahayam () of Dawad (David) your ab (father), “I have shamai (hearken / hear) your thapalah (prayer). I raah (see) seen your damaih (tears). Behold, I will rapaa (heal) you. On the shalayashay (third) yawam (day), you shall ilah (go up / offer) up to the bayath (house) of Yahawah ().
6 I will yasap (add) to your yawam (day) chamash (fifteen) shanah (years). I will natzal (deliver) you and this iyar (city) out of the kap (hand) of the malak (king) of Ashawar (Assyria). I will ganan (defend) this iyar (city) for my own sake, and for my ibad (servant) Dawad (David's) sake.”’”
7 Yashaiyah (Isaiah) amar (said), “laqach (take / seize) a dabalah (fig cake) of thaanayam (figs).” They laqach (take / seize) and shawam (place / establish / appoint) it on the shachayan (boil), and he chayah (recovered).
8 Chazaqayah (Hezekiah) amar (spoke) to Yashaiyah (Isaiah), “What shall be the awath (sign / mark / miracle) that Yahawah () will rapaa (heal) me, and that I shall ilah (go up / offer) up to the bayath (house) of Yahawah () the shalayashay (third) yawam (day)?”
9 Yashaiyah (Isaiah) amar (spoke), “This shall be the awath (sign / mark / miracle) to you from Yahawah (), that Yahawah () will ishah (make) the thing that he has dabar (word / matter): shall the tzal (shadow) halak (move) forward ishar (ten) mailawath (steps), or shawab (turn back / repent) back ishar (ten) mailawath (steps)?”
10 Chazaqayah (Hezekiah) amar (said), “It is a qalal (light) thing for the tzal (shadow) to natah (go) forward ishar (ten) mailawath (steps). Nay, but let the tzal (shadow) shawab (turn) backward ishar (ten) mailawath (steps).”
11 Yashaiyah (Isaiah) the nabayaa (prophet/prophecy) qaraa (called) to Yahawah (); and he shawab (turn back / repent) the tzal (shadow) ishar (ten) mailawath (steps) backward, by which it had yarad (gone) down on the dial of Achaz (Ahaz).
12 At that ith (time) Berodach Balaadan (Baladan) the ban (son) of Balaadan (Baladan), malak (king) of Babal (Babylon), shalach (send) saparayam (letters) and a manachah (present) to Chazaqayah (Hezekiah); for he had shamai (hearken / hear) that Chazaqayah (Hezekiah) had been chalah (afflict).
13 Chazaqayah (Hezekiah) shamai (hearken / hear) to them, and showed them all the bayath (house) of his nakath (precious) things, the kasap (silver), and the zahab (gold), and the bashamayam (spices), and the tawab (good / proper function) shaman (oil), and the bayath (house) of his armor, and all that was matzaa (found) in his awatzar (treasures): there was nothing in his bayath (house), nor in all his mamashal (authority), that Chazaqayah (Hezekiah) didn't show them.
14 Then Yashaiyah (Isaiah) the nabayaa (prophet/prophecy) bawaa (bring) to malak (king) Chazaqayah (Hezekiah), and amar (said) to him, “What did these anashayam (men) amar (said)? From ayan (NO ONE) did they bawaa (bring) to you?” Chazaqayah (Hezekiah) amar (said), “They bawaa (bring) come from a rachawaq (far) aratz (Earth/land), even from Babal (Babylon).”
15 He amar (said), “What raah (see / saw) they seen in your bayath (house)?” Chazaqayah (Hezekiah) amar (said), “They raah (see / saw) seen all that is in my bayath (house). There is nothing among my awatzar (treasures) that I raah (see / saw) not shown them.”
16 Yashaiyah (Isaiah) amar (spoke) to Chazaqayah (Hezekiah), "shamai (hearken / hear) the dabar (word / matter) of Yahawah ().
17 ‘Behold, the yamayam (days) bawaa (come), that all that is in your bayath (house), and that which your ab (father) have laid up in atzar (store) to this yawam (day), shall be nashaa (lift) to Babal (Babylon). Nothing shall be yathar (left),’ amar (spoke) Yahawah ().
18 ‘Of your ban (son) who shall yatzaa (go out / come out) from you, whom you shall yalad (birth / begot), shall they laqach (take / seize) away; and they shall be sarayasayam (eunuchs) in the hayakal (palace) of the malak (king) of Babal (Babylon).’”
19 Then Chazaqayah (Hezekiah) amar (spoke) to Yashaiyah (Isaiah), “The dabar (word / matter) of Yahawah () which you have dabar (word / matter) is tawab (good / proper function).” He amar (spoke) moreover, “Isn't it so, if shalawam (peace / safety) and amath (truth) shall be in my yawam (day)?”
20 Now the yathar (rest) of the dabaray (acts) of Chazaqayah (Hezekiah), and all his gabawarah (might), and how he ishah (make) the barakah (pool), and the thailah (conduit), and bawaa (bring) mayam (Waters) into the iyar (city), aren't they kathab (write) in the sapar (book / scribed document) of the dabaray (chronicles) of the malakay (kings) of Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah)?
21 Chazaqayah (Hezekiah) shakab (slept) with his ab (father); and Manashah (Manasseh) his ban (son) malak (king) in his place.
