Deuteronomy 31 — English–Hebrew Parallel

Mashah (Moses) yalak (went) and dabar (word / matter) these dabarayam (words) to all Yashar-Al (Israel).

He amar (spoke) to them, “I am one maah (hundred) isharayam (twenty) shanah (years) ban (son) this yawam (day); I yakal (can) no more yatzaa (go out / come out) out and bawaa (come) in: and Yahawah () has amar (spoke) to me, ‘You shall not ibar (pass over/through) over this Yaradan (Jordan).’

Yahawah () your Alahayam (), he will ibar (pass over/through) over panayam (face) you; he will shamad (destroy) these gawayam (nations) from panayam (face) you, and you shall yarash (dispossess) them. Yahawashawai (Joshua) shall ibar (pass over/through) over panayam (face) you, as Yahawah () has dabar (word / matter).

Yahawah () will ishah (make) to them as he ishah (make) to Sayachawan (Sihon) and to Iwag (Og), the malakay (kings) of the Amaray (Amorites), and to their aratz (Earth/land); whom he destroyed.

Yahawah () will nathan (give) them up panayam (face) you, and you shall ishah (make) to them according to all the matzawah (commandment) which I have tzawah (commanded) you.

Be chazaq (strong) and amatz (courageous), don't be yaraa (fear / be afraid), nor be scared of them: for Yahawah () your Alahayam (), he it is who does halak (move) with you; he will not rapah (fail) you, nor izab (forsake) you.”

Mashah (Moses) qaraa (called) to Yahawashawai (Joshua), and amar (spoke) to him in the iyan (eye) of all Yashar-Al (Israel), “Be chazaq (strong) and amatz (courageous): for you shall bawaa (come) with this im (nation / people) into the aratz (Earth/land) which Yahawah () has shabai (swear / take oath) to their ab (father) to nathan (give) them; and you shall nachal (cause) them to inherit it.

Yahawah (), he it is who does halak (move) panayam (face) you; he will be with you, he will not rapah (fail) you, neither izab (forsake) you: don't be yaraa (fear / be afraid), neither be chathath (dismayed).”

Mashah (Moses) kathab (write) this thawarah (instruction), and nathan (give) it to the kahanayam (priests) the banay (sons) of Laway (Levi), who nashaa (lift) the arawan (ark) of the barayath (covenant) of Yahawah (), and to all the zaqanay (elders) of Yashar-Al (Israel).

Mashah (Moses) tzawah (commanded) them, amar (said), “At the qatz (end) of every shabai (seven) shanayam (two), in the mawaid (Feast/Holy Day) time of the shanah (year) of shamatah (release), in the chag (feast/festival) of sakawath (tents),

When all Yashar-Al (Israel) bawaa (come) come to raah (see) panayam (face) Yahawah () your Alahayam () in the maqawam (place) which he shall bachar (choose), you shall qaraa (called) this thawarah (instruction) before all Yashar-Al (Israel) in their azan (ear).

Qahal (assemble) the im (nation / people), the im (nation / people) and the nashayam (women) and the little tap (ones), and your foreigner who is within your shair (gates), that they may shamai (hearken / hear), and that they may lamad (teach / instruct), and yaraa (fear / be afraid) Yahawah () your Alahayam (), and shamar (keep/guard) to ishah (make) all the dabaray (words) of this thawarah (instruction);

And that their ban (son), who yadai (have) not known, may shamai (hearken / hear), and lamad (teach / instruct) to yaraa (fear / be afraid) Yahawah () your Alahayam (), as yawam (day) as you chay (life) in the adamah (land) where you ibar (pass over/through) over the Yaradan (Jordan) to yarash (possess) it.”

Yahawah () amar (spoke) to Mashah (Moses), “Behold, your yawam (day) qarab (come close) that you must mawath (death): qaraa (called) Yahawashawai (Joshua), and yatzab (present) yourselves in the ahal (tent) of Meeting, that I may commission him.” Mashah (Moses) and Yahawashawai (Joshua) yalak (went), and yatzab (presented) themselves in the ahal (tent) of Meeting.

Yahawah () raah (see) in the ahal (tent) in a imawad (pillar) of inan (cloud): and the imawad (pillar) of inan (cloud) imad (stood) over the pathach (door) of the ahal (tent).

Yahawah () amar (spoke) to Mashah (Moses), “Behold, you shall sleep with your ab (father); and this im (nation / people) will qawam (rise up) up, and zanah (play) the prostitute achar (other) the nakar (strange) Alahayam () of the aratz (Earth/land), where they bawaa (come) to be qarab (among / near) them, and will izab (forsake) me, and parar (break) my barayath (covenant) which I have karath (cut) with them.

Then my ap (nostril / picture: bull snorting) shall be charah (hot with anger) against them in that yawam (day), and I will izab (forsake) them, and I will sathar (hide) my panayam (face) from them, and they shall be akal (eat), and many raiwath (evils) and tzarawath (troubles) shall matzaa (come) on them; so that they will amar (spoke) in that yawam (day), ‘Haven't these raiwath (evils) matzaa (come) on us because our Alahayam () is not qarab (among / near) us?’

I will sathar (surely) sathar (hide) my panayam (face) in that yawam (day) for all the rai (evil) which they shall ishah (make) worked, in that they are panah (turn) to other Alahayam ().

“Now therefore kathab (write) this shayar (song) for yourselves, and lamad (teach / instruct) it to the banay (my son) of Yashar-Al (Israel): shawam (place / establish / appoint) it in their pah (mouths), that this shayar (song) may be a id (until / as far as) for me against the banay (my son) of Yashar-Al (Israel).

For when I shall bawaa (come) brought them into the adamah (land) which I shabai (swear / take oath) to their ab (father), zawab (flow) with chalab (milk) and dabash (honey), and they shall have akal (eat) and shabai (filled) themselves, and grown dashan (fat); then will they panah (turn) to other Alahayam (), and ibad (servant) them, and naatz (despise) me, and parar (break) my barayath (covenant).

It shall happen, when many raiwath (evils) and tzarawath (troubles) matzaa (have) come on them, that this shayar (song) shall inah (answer / respond) panayam (face) them as a id (until / as far as); for it shall not be shakach (forgotten) out of the pah (mouths) of their zarai (seed): for I yadai (know) their yatzar (imagination) which they frame this yawam (day), before I bawaa (bring) brought them into the aratz (Earth/land) which I shabai (swear / take oath).”

So Mashah (Moses) kathab (write) this shayar (song) the same yawam (day), and lamad (teach / instruct) it the banay (my son) of Yashar-Al (Israel).

He commissioned Yahawashawai (Joshua) the ban (son) of Nawan (Nun), and amar (said), “Be chazaq (strong) and amatz (courageous); for you shall bawaa (bring) the banay (my son) of Yashar-Al (Israel) into the aratz (Earth/land) which I shabai (swear / take oath) to them: and I will be with you.”

It happened, when Mashah (Moses) kalah (complete / finish) made an end of kathab (write) the dabaray (words) of this thawarah (Torah / Instruction) in a sapar (book / scribed document), until they were finished,

That Mashah (Moses) tzawah (commanded) the Lawayay (Levites), who nashaa (lift) the arawan (ark) of the barayath (covenant) of Yahawah (), amar (spoke),

“Laqach (take / seize) this sapar (book / scribed document) of the thawarah (instruction), and shawam (place / establish / appoint) it by the tzad (side) of the arawan (ark) of the barayath (covenant) of Yahawah () your Alahayam (), that it may be there for a id (until / as far as) against you.

For I yadai (know) your rebellion, and your qashah (rough / hard) irap (neck): behold, while I am yet chay (life) with you this yawam (day), you have been rebellious against Yahawah (); and how much more achar (other) my mawath (death)?

Qahal (assemble) to me all the zaqanay (elders) of your shabat (tribes), and your shatar (officers), that I may dabar (word / matter) these dabarayam (words) in their azan (ear), and iwad (admonish/bear witness against) shamayam (Shamayam / Heavens) and aratz (Earth/land) to iwad (admonish/bear witness against) against them.

For I yadai (know) that achar (other) my mawath (death) you will shachath (utterly) shachath (corrupt) yourselves, and sawar (turn) aside from the darak (way) which I have tzawah (commanded) you; and rai (evil) will qaraa (called) to you in the acharayath (latter) yamayam (days); because you will ishah (make) that which is rai (evil) in the iyan (eye) of Yahawah (), to provoke him to kais (anger) through the maishah (work) of your yad (hand).”

Mashah (Moses) dabar (word / matter) in the azanay (ears) of all the qahal (assembly) of Yashar-Al (Israel) the dabaray (words) of this shayar (song), until they were finished.
