Esther 2 — English–Hebrew Parallel

Achar (other) these things, when the chamah (wrath) of malak (king) Achashawarawash (Ahasuerus) was shakak (pacified), he zakar (remember) Washathay (Vashti), and what she ishah (make) done, and what was gazar (decreed) against her.

Then the malak (king) nairay (servants) who sharath (served) him amar (said), “Let tawab (good / proper function) nairah (young) bathawalawath (virgins) be baqash (sought) for the malak (king).

Let the malak (king) paqad (visit) officers in all the madayanawath (provinces) of his malakawath (kingdom), that they may qabatz (gather) together all the tawab (good / proper function) nairah (young) bathawalah (virgins) to the citadel of Shawashan (Susa), to the nashayam (womens) bayath (house), to the yad (hand) of Hagaa (Hegai) the malak (king) sarayas (eunuch), keeper of the nashayam (women). Let cosmetics be nathan (give) them;

And let the nairah (maiden) who yatab (pleases) the malak (king) be malak (king) instead of Washathay (Vashti).” The thing yatab (pleased) the malak (king), and he ishah (make) so.

There was a ayash (man / husband) Yahawaday (Jew) in the citadel of Shawashan (Susa), whose sham (name) was Maradakay (Mordecai), the ban (son) of Yaayar (Jair), the ban (son) of Shamaiy (Shimei), the ban (son) of Qayash (Kish), a Banayamayanay (Benjamite),

Who had been galah (carried) away from Yarawashalam (Yarawashalam / Jerusalem) with the gawalah (captives) who had been galah (carried) away with Yakanayah (Jeconiah) malak (king) of Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah), whom Nabawakadanaatzar (Nebuchadnezzar) the malak (king) of Babal (Babylon) had galah (carried) away.

He aman (believe / have faith) up Hadasah (Hadassah), that is, Asathar (Esther), his dawad (uncle's) banath (daughter); for she had neither ab (father) nor am (mother). The nairah (maiden) was yapah (fair) and yapah (beautiful); and when her ab (father) and am (mother) were mawath (death), Maradakay (Mordecai) laqach (take / seize) her for his own banath (daughter).

So it happened, when the malak (king) commandment and his dabar (word / matter) was shamai (hearken / hear), and when many nairawath (maidens) were qabatz (gathered) together to the citadel of Shawashan (Susa), to the yad (hand) of Hagaa (Hegai), that Asathar (Esther) was laqach (take / seize) into the malak (king) bayath (house), to the yad (hand) of Hagaa (Hegai), keeper of the nashayam (women).

The nairah (maiden) yatab (pleased) him, and she nashaa (lift) chasad (grace) from him. He quickly nathan (give) her cosmetics and her manah (portions) of food, and the shabai (seven) choice nairawath (maidens) who were to be nathan (give) her out of the malak (king) bayath (house). He moved her and her nairawath (maidens) to the tawab (good / proper function) place in the nashayam (womens) bayath (house).

Asathar (Esther) had not made known her im (nation / people) nor her relatives, because Maradakay (Mordecai) had instructed her that she should not make it known.

Maradakay (Mordecai) halak (move) every yawam (day) in panayam (face) of the chatzar (court) of the nashayam (womens) bayath (house), to find out how Asathar (Esther) was shalawam (peace / safety), and what would ishah (make) of her.

Each nairah (young) woman's thawar (turn) nagai (came) to go in to malak (king) Achashawarawash (Ahasuerus) qatz (after) her purification for shanayam (two) chadashayam (months) (for so were the yamay (days) of their marawaq (purification) malaa (accomplished), shash (six) chadashayam (months) with shaman (oil) of mar (myrrh), and shash (six) chadashayam (months) with basham (sweet) fragrances and with preparations for beautifying nashayam (women)).

The nairah (young) woman then bawaa (bring) to the malak (king) like this: whatever she amar (said) was nathan (give) her to bawaa (bring) with her out of the nashayam (womens) bayath (house) to the malak (king) bayath (house).

In the irab (evening) she bawaa (bring), and on the next baqar (morning) she shawab (turn) into the shanay (second) nashayam (womens) bayath (house), to the yad (hand) of Shaishagaz (Shaashgaz), the malak (king) sarayas (eunuch), who shamar (keep/guard) the payalagashayam (concubines). She bawaa (bring) in to the malak (king) no more, unless the malak (king) chapatz (delighted) in her, and she was qaraa (called) by sham (name).

Now when the thawar (turn) of Asathar (Esther), the banath (daughter) of Abayahayal (Abihail) the dawad (uncle) of Maradakay (Mordecai), who had laqach (take / seize) her for his banath (daughter), nagai (came) to go in to the malak (king), she baqash (required) nothing but what Hagaa (Hegai) the malak (king) sarayas (eunuch), the keeper of the nashayam (women), advised. Asathar (Esther) nashaa (lift) favor in the iyan (eye) of all those who raah (see / saw) at her.

So Asathar (Esther) was laqach (take / seize) to malak (king) Achashawarawash (Ahasuerus) into his malakawath (royal) bayath (house) in the ishayaray (tenth) chadash (month), which is the chadash (month) Tabath (Tebeth), in the shabai (seven) shanah (year) of his malakawath (reign).

The malak (king) ahab (love) Asathar (Esther) more than all the nashayam (women), and she nashaa (lift) favor and nashaa (lift) in his panayam (face) more than all the bathawalath (virgins); so that he shawam (place / establish / appoint) the malakawath (royal) kathar (crown) on her raash (head), and made her malak (king) instead of Washathay (Vashti).

Then the malak (king) ishah (make) a gadawal (very great/important/mighty) mashathah (feast) for all his shar (prince / ruler) and his ibad (servant), even Asathar (Esther's) mashathah (feast); and he proclaimed a holiday in the madayanawath (provinces), and nathan (give) mashaath (gifts) according to the malak (king) yad (hand).

When the bathawalawath (virgins) were qabatz (gathered) together the shanay (second) time, Maradakay (Mordecai) was sitting in the malak (king) shair (gate).

Asathar (Esther) had not yet made known her relatives nor her im (nation / people), as Maradakay (Mordecai) had tzawah (commanded) her; for Asathar (Esther) obeyed Maradakay (Mordecai), like she ishah (make) when she was amanah (brought) up by him.

In those yamayam (days), while Maradakay (Mordecai) was sitting in the malak (king) shair (gate), shanayam (two) of the malak (king) sarayasay (eunuchs), Bagathan (Bigthan) and Tharash (Teresh), who were doorkeepers, were qatzap (angry), and baqash (sought) to shalach (send) yad (hand) on the malak (king) Achashawarawash (Ahasuerus).

This thing became yadai (known) to Maradakay (Mordecai), who informed Asathar (Esther) the malakah (queen); and Asathar (Esther) informed the malak (king) in Maradakay (Mordecai's) sham (name).

When this dabar (word / matter) was investigated, and it was matzaa (found) to be so, they were shanayam (two) hanged on a itz (tree); and it was kathab (write) in the sapar (book / scribed document) of the dabaray (chronicles) in the malak (king) panayam (face).
