Exodus 27 — English–Hebrew Parallel

1 “You shall ishah (make) the mazabach (altar) of acacia itz (wood), chamash (five) amawath (cubits) arak (length), and chamash (five) amawath (cubits) rachab (broad); the mazabach (altar) shall be rabai (fourth): and its qawamah (height) shall be shalawash (three) amawath (cubits).

2 You shall ishah (make) its qaran (horn) on its arabai (four) panah (turn); its qaran (horn) shall be of one piece with it; and you shall tzapah (overlay) it with nachashath (brass).

3 You shall ishah (make) its sayar (pots) to dashan (take) away its ashes, its yai (shovels), its basins, its flesh hooks, and its machathah (fire) pans: all its kalay (vessels) you shall ishah (make) of nachashath (brass).

4 You shall ishah (make) a makabar (grating) for it of network of nachashath (brass): and on the rashath (net) you shall ishah (make) arabai (four) bronze tabaith (rings) in its arabai (four) qatzah (end / extremity / border).

5 You shall nathan (give) it under the ledge around the mazabach (altar) matah (beneath), that the rashath (net) may reach halfway up the mazabach (altar).

6 You shall ishah (make) poles for the mazabach (altar), poles of acacia itz (wood), and tzapah (overlay) them with nachashath (brass).

7 Its poles shall be bawaa (bring) into the tabaith (rings), and the poles shall be on the shanayam (two) tzalaith (sides) of the mazabach (altar), when nashaa (lift) it.

8 You shall ishah (make) it with nabab (hollow) planks. They shall ishah (make) it as it raah (see / saw) been shown you on the har (mountain).

9 “You shall ishah (make) the chatzar (court) of the mashakan (tabernacle): for the nagab (south) paah (side) southward there shall be qalaiyam (hangings) for the chatzar (court) of fine shazar (twined) shash (six) one maah (hundred) amah (cubits) arak (length) for achad (one) paah (side):

10 And its imadayam (those who stand) shall be isharayam (twenty), and their adan (sockets) isharayam (twenty), of nachashath (brass); the waway (hooks) of the imadayam (those who stand) and their chashaq (fillets) shall be of kasap (silver).

11 Likewise for the tzapawan (north) paah (side) in arak (length) there shall be qalaiyam (hangings) one maah (hundred) cubits arak (length), and its imadayam (those who stand) isharayam (twenty), and their adan (sockets) isharayam (twenty), of nachashath (brass); the waway (hooks) of the imadayam (those who stand), and their chashaq (fillets), of kasap (silver).

12 For the rachab (breadth) of the chatzar (court) on the yam (sea/waters) paah (side) shall be qalaiyam (hangings) of chamashayam (fifty) amah (cubits); their imawad (pillar) ishar (ten), and their adan (sockets) ishar (ten).

13 The rachab (breadth) of the chatzar (court) on the qadam (east) paah (side) eastward shall be chamashayam (fifty) amah (cubits).

14 The qalaiyam (hangings) for the one kathap (side) of the gate shall be chamash (fifteen) amah (cubits); their imawad (pillar) shalawash (three), and their adan (sockets) shalawash (three).

15 For the other kathap (side) shall be qalaiyam (hangings) of chamash (fifteen) cubits; their imawad (pillar) shalawash (three), and their adan (sockets) shalawash (three).

16 For the shair (gate) of the chatzar (court) shall be a screen of isharayam (twenty) amah (cubits), of thakalath (blue), and aragaman (purple), and shanay (second), and fine shazar (twined) shash (six), the raqam (work) of the embroiderer; their imawad (pillar) arabai (four), and their adan (sockets) arabai (four).

17 All the imawaday (pillars) of the chatzar (court) around shall be chashaq (filleted) with kasap (silver); their waw (and) of kasap (silver), and their adan (sockets) of nachashath (brass).

18 The arak (length) of the chatzar (court) shall be one maah (hundred) amawath (cubits), and the rachab (breadth) chamashayam (fifty) every where, and the qawamah (height) chamash (five) amawath (cubits), of fine shazar (twined) shash (six), and their adan (sockets) of nachashath (brass).

19 All the kalay (instruments) of the mashakan (tabernacle) in all its ibadah (service), and all its yathadath (pins), and all the yathadath (pins) of the chatzar (court), shall be of nachashath (brass).

20 “You shall tzawah (command) the banay (my son) of Yashar-Al (Israel), that they laqach (take / seize) to you zak (pure) zayath (olive) shaman (oil) kathayath (beaten) for the maawar (Luminary / Light), to cause a nayar (lamp) to ilah (go up / offer) continually.

21 In the ahal (tent) of Meeting, outside the parakath (veil) which is before the idawath (testimony), Aharawan (Aaron) and his banay (sons) shall keep it in irak (order) from irab (evening) to baqar (morning) panayam (face) Yahawah (): it shall be a chaqah (statute) iwalam (forever) throughout their dawar (generation / age / period) on the behalf of the banay (children) of Yashar-Al (Israel).
