Exodus 38 — English–Hebrew Parallel

1 He ishah (make) the mazabach (altar) of burnt ilah (offering) of acacia itz (wood). It was rabai (fourth). Its arak (length) was chamash (five) amawath (cubits), its rachab (breadth) was chamash (five) amawath (cubits), and its qawamah (height) was shalawash (three) amawath (cubits).

2 He ishah (make) its qaran (horn) on its arabai (four) panah (turn). Its qaran (horn) were of tzapah (one) piece with it, and he overlaid it with nachashath (brass).

3 He ishah (make) all the kalay (vessels) of the mazabach (altar), the sayarath (pots), the yaiyam (shovels), the basins, the forks, and the machathah (fire) pans. He ishah (make) all its kalay (vessels) of nachashath (brass).

4 He ishah (make) for the mazabach (altar) a makabar (grating) of a rashath (network) of nachashath (brass), under the ledge around it matah (beneath), reaching halfway up.

5 He yatzaq (cast) arabai (four) tabaith (rings) for the arabai (four) qatzawath (ends) of nachashath (brass) makabar (grating), to be bathayam (places) for the poles.

6 He ishah (make) the poles of acacia itz (wood), and overlaid them with nachashath (brass).

7 He bawaa (bring) the poles into the tabaith (rings) on the tzalaith (sides) of the mazabach (altar), with which to nashaa (lift) it. He ishah (make) it nabab (hollow) with planks.

8 He ishah (make) the basin of nachashath (brass), and its kan (for sure) of nachashath (brass), out of the mirrors of the ministering women who ministered at the pathach (door) of the ahal (tent) of Meeting.

9 He ishah (make) the chatzar (court): for the nagab (south) paah (side) southward the qalaiy (hangings) of the chatzar (court) were of fine shazar (twined) shash (six), one maah (hundred) amah (cubits);

10 Their imadayam (those who stand) were isharayam (twenty), and their adan (sockets) isharayam (twenty), of nachashath (brass); the waway (hooks) of the imadayam (those who stand) and their chashaq (fillets) were of kasap (silver).

11 For the tzapawan (north) paah (side) one maah (hundred) amah (cubits), their imawadayam (pillars) isharayam (twenty), and their adan (sockets) isharayam (twenty), of nachashath (brass); the waway (hooks) of the imawadayam (pillars), and their chashaq (fillets), of kasap (silver).

12 For the yam (sea/waters) paah (side) were qalaiyam (hangings) of chamashayam (fifty) amah (cubits), their imadayam (those who stand) ishar (ten), and their adan (sockets) ishar (ten); the waway (hooks) of the imadayam (those who stand), and their chashaq (fillets), of kasap (silver).

13 For the qadam (east) paah (side) eastward chamashayam (fifty) amah (cubits).

14 The qalaiyam (hangings) for the one kathap (side) were chamash (fifteen) amah (cubits); their imawad (pillar) shalawash (three), and their adan (sockets) shalawash (three);

15 And so for the other kathap (side): on this hand and that hand by the shair (gate) of the chatzar (court) were qalaiyam (hangings) of chamash (fifteen) amah (cubits); their imawad (pillar) shalawash (three), and their adan (sockets) shalawash (three).

16 All the qalaiy (hangings) around the chatzar (court) were of fine shazar (twined) shash (six).

17 The adanayam (sockets) for the imadayam (those who stand) were of nachashath (brass). The waway (hooks) of the imadayam (those who stand) and their chashaq (fillets) were of kasap (silver); and the tzapaway (overlaying) of their capitals, of kasap (silver); and all the imadayam (those who stand) of the chatzar (court) were chashaq (filleted) with kasap (silver).

18 The screen for the shair (gate) of the chatzar (court) was the raqam (work) of the embroiderer, of thakalath (blue), aragaman (purple), shanay (second), and fine shazar (twined) shash (six). Isharayam (twenty) amawath (cubits) was the arak (length), and the qawamah (height) in the rachab (breadth) was chamash (five) amawath (cubits), like to the qalaiy (hangings) of the chatzar (court).

19 Their imawad (pillar) were arabai (four), and their adan (sockets) arabai (four), of nachashath (brass); their waw (and) of kasap (silver), and the tzapaway (overlaying) of their capitals, and their chashaq (fillets), of kasap (silver).

20 All the yathadath (pins) of the mashakan (tabernacle), and around the chatzar (court), were of nachashath (brass).

21 Alah (these) is the amount of material used for the mashakan (tabernacle), even the mashakan (tabernacle) of the idawath (testimony), as they were paqad (visit), pah (according) to the commandment of Mashah (Moses), for the ibadah (service) of the Lawayay (Levites), by the yad (hand) of Ayathamar (Ithamar), the ban (son) of Aharawan (Aaron) the kahan (priest).

22 Batzalaal (Bezalel) the ban (son) of Awaray (Uri), the ban (son) of Chawar (Hur), of the matah (staff / rod / tribe) of Yahawadah (Judah), ishah (make) all that Yahawah () tzawah (commanded) Mashah (Moses).

23 With him was Ahalayaab (Oholiab), the ban (son) of Achayasamak (Ahisamach), of the matah (staff / rod / tribe) of Dan (Dan), an charash (engraver), and a skillful chashab (workman), and an raqam (embroiderer) in thakalath (blue), in aragaman (purple), in shanay (second), and in shash (six) linen.

24 All the zahab (gold) that was used for the malaakah (work) in all the malaakah (work) of the qadash (set apart / make holy), even the zahab (gold) of the thanawapah (offering), was isharayam (twenty) thashai (nine) kakar (talents), and shabai (seven) maah (hundred) shalawashayam (thirty) shaqal (shekels), after the shaqal (shekel) of the qadash (set apart / make holy).

25 The kasap (silver) of those who were paqad (visit) of the idah (congregation) was one maah (hundred) kakar (talents), and one alap (thousand) shabai (seven) maah (hundred) shabaiyam (seventy) five shaqal (shekels), after the shaqal (shekel) of the qadash (set apart / make holy):

26 A beka a galagalath (head), that is, machatzayath (half) a shaqal (shekel), after the shaqal (shekel) of the qadash (set apart / make holy), for everyone who ibar (pass over/through) over to those who were paqad (visit), from isharayam (twenty) shanah (years) ban (son) and upward, for shash (six) maah (hundred) shalawash (three) alap (thousand) chamash (five) maah (hundred) chamashayam (fifty) men.

27 The one maah (hundred) kakar (talents) of kasap (silver) were for yatzaq (casting) the adanay (master) of the qadash (set apart / make holy), and the adanay (master) of the parakath (veil); one maah (hundred) adanay (master) for the one maah (hundred) kakar (talents), a kakar (talent) for a adan (socket).

28 Of the one alap (thousand) shabai (seven) maah (hundred) shabaiyam (seventy) chamash (five) shekels he ishah (make) wawayam (hooks) for the imawadayam (pillars), overlaid their capitals, and made chashaq (fillets) for them.

29 The nachashath (brass) of the thanawapah (offering) was shabaiyam (seventy) kakar (talents), and two alap (thousand) arabai (four) maah (hundred) shaqal (shekels).

30 With this he ishah (make) the adanay (master) to the pathach (door) of the ahal (tent) of Meeting, the bronze mazabach (altar), the bronze makabar (grating) for it, all the kalay (vessels) of the mazabach (altar),

31 The adanay (master) around the chatzar (court), the adanay (master) of the shair (gate) of the chatzar (court), all the yathadath (pins) of the mashakan (tabernacle), and all the yathadath (pins) around the chatzar (court).
