Exodus 6 — English–Hebrew Parallel

1 Yahawah () amar (spoke) to Mashah (Moses), “Now you shall raah (see) what I will ishah (make) to Paraih (Pharaoh), for by a chazaq (strong) yad (hand) he shall shalach (send) them go, and by a chazaq (strong) yad (hand) he shall garash (drive) them out of his aratz (Earth/land).”

2 Alahayam () dabar (word / matter) to Mashah (Moses), and amar (spoke) to him, “I am Yahawah ();

3 And I raah (see) to Abaraham (Abraham), to Yatzachaq (Isaac), and to Yaiqab (Jacob), as Al Shaday (); but by my sham (name) Yahawah () I was not yadai (known) to them.

4 I have also qawam (rise up) my barayath (covenant) with them, to nathan (give) them the aratz (Earth/land) of Kanain (Canaan), the aratz (Earth/land) of their travels, in which they lived as aliens.

5 Moreover I have shamai (hearken / hear) the naaqah (groaning) of the banay (my son) of Yashar-Al (Israel), whom the Matzarayam (Matzarayam / Egypt) ibad (servant) in bondage, and I have zakar (remember) my barayath (covenant).

6 Therefore amar (spoke) the banay (children) of Yashar-Al (Israel), ‘I am Yahawah (), and I will yatzaa (go out / come out) you out from under the sabalath (burdens) of the Matzarayam (Egyptians), and I will natzal (rid) you out of their ibadah (bondage), and I will gaal (redeem) you with an natah (outstretched) zarawai (arm), and with gadawal (very great/important/mighty) shapatayam (judgments):

7 And I will laqach (take / seize) you to me for a im (nation / people), and I will be to you a Alahayam (); and you shall yadai (know) that I am Yahawah () your Alahayam (), who yatzaa (go out / come out) you out from under the sabalawath (burdens) of the Matzarayam (Egyptians).

8 I will bawaa (come) you into the aratz (Earth/land) which I nashaa (lift) to nathan (give) to Abaraham (Abraham), to Yatzachaq (Isaac), and to Yaiqab (Jacob); and I will nathan (give) it to you for a mawarashah (heritage): I am Yahawah ().’”

9 Mashah (Moses) dabar (word / matter) so to the banay (my son) of Yashar-Al (Israel), but they didn't shamai (hearken / hear) to Mashah (Moses) for qatzar (anguish) of rawach (spirit / wind), and for qashah (rough / hard) ibadah (bondage).

10 Yahawah () dabar (word / matter) to Mashah (Moses), amar (spoke),

11 “Bawaa (bring) in, dabar (word / matter) to Paraih (Pharaoh) malak (king) of Matzarayam (Matzarayam / Egypt), that he let the banay (my son) of Yashar-Al (Israel) shalach (send) out of his aratz (Earth/land).”

12 Mashah (Moses) dabar (word / matter) panayam (face) Yahawah (), amar (spoke), “Behold, the banay (children) of Yashar-Al (Israel) haven't shamai (hearken / hear) to me. How then shall Paraih (Pharaoh) shamai (hearken / hear) to me, who am of iral (uncircumcised) shapathayam (lips)?”

13 Yahawah () dabar (word / matter) to Mashah (Moses) and to Aharawan (Aaron), and gave them a tzawah (command) to the banay (children) of Yashar-Al (Israel), and to Paraih (Pharaoh) malak (king) of Matzarayam (Egypt), to yatzaa (go out / come out) the banay (children) of Yashar-Al (Israel) out of the aratz (Earth/land) of Matzarayam (Egypt).

14 These are the raashay (heads) of their ab (father)’ bayath (house). The banay (my son) of Raawaban (Reuben) the bakawar (firstborn) of Yashar-Al (Israel): Chanawak (Chanawak / Enoch), and Palawaa (Pallu), Chatzarawan (Hezron), and Karamay (Carmi); these are the mashapachath (families) of Raawaban (Reuben).

15 The banay (my son) of Shamaiwan (Simeon): Yamawaal (Jemuel), and Yamayan (right hand), and Ahad (Ohad), and Yakayan (Jachin), and Tzachar (bright / glisten), and Shaawal (Sheol / afterlife) the ban (son) of a Kanainay (Canaanite) woman; these are the mashapachath (families) of Shamaiwan (Simeon).

16 These are the shamawath (names) of the banay (my son) of Laway (Levi) according to their thawaladah (generation): Garashawan (Gershon), and Qahath (Kohath), and Mararay (Merari); and the shanay (second) of the chay (life) of Laway (Levi) were one maah (hundred) shalawashayam (thirty) - shabai (seven) shanay (second).

17 The banay (my son) of Garashawan (Gershon): Labanay (Libni) and Shamaiy (Shimei), according to their mashapachah (tribe / clan / family).

18 The banay (my son) of Qahath (Kohath): Imaram (Amram), and Yatzahar (fresh oil), and Chabarawan (Hebron), and Izayaal (Uzziel); and the shanay (second) of the chay (life) of Qahath (Kohath) were one maah (hundred) shalawashayam (thirty) - shalawash (three) shanay (second).

19 The banay (my son) of Mararay (Merari): Machalay (Mahli) and Mawashay (Mushi). These are the mashapachath (families) of the Laway (Levites) according to their thawaladah (generation).

20 Imaram (Amram) laqach (take / seize) Yawakabad (Jochebed) his dawadah (father's) sister to himself as ayashah (woman / wife); and she yalad (birth / begot) him Aharawan (Aaron) and Mashah (Moses): and the shanay (second) of the chay (life) of Imaram (Amram) were a maah (hundred) and shalawashayam (thirty) - shabai (seven) shanay (second).

21 The banay (my son) of Yatzahar (fresh oil): Qarach (Korah), and Napag (Nepheg), and Zakaray (Zichri).

22 The banay (my son) of Izayaal (Uzziel): Mayashaal (Mishael), and Alayatzapan (Elzaphan), and Satharay (Sithri).

23 Aharawan (Aaron) laqach (take / seize) Alayashabai (Elisheba), the banath (daughter) of Imayanadab (Amminadab), the achawath (sister) of Nachashawan (Nahshon), as his ayashah (woman / wife); and she yalad (birth / begot) him Nadab (Nadab) and Abayahawaa (Abihu), Alaizar (Eleazar) and Ayathamar (Ithamar).

24 The banay (my son) of Qarach (Korah): Asayar (Assir), and Alaqanah (Elkanah), and Abayaasap (Abiasaph); these are the mashapachath (families) of the qarachay (korahites).

25 Alaizar (Eleazar) Aharawan (Aaron's) ban (son) laqach (take / seize) one of the banawath (daughters) of Pawatayaal (Putiel) as his ayashah (woman / wife); and she yalad (birth / begot) him Payanachas (Phinehas). These are the raashay (heads) of the abawath (fathers)’ houses of the Lawayay (Levites) according to their mashapachah (tribe / clan / family).

26 These are that Aharawan (Aaron) and Mashah (Moses), to whom Yahawah () amar (spoke), “yatzaa (go out / come out) out the banay (children) of Yashar-Al (Israel) from the aratz (Earth/land) of Matzarayam (Egypt) according to their tzabaa (troop).”

27 These are those who dabar (word / matter) to Paraih (Pharaoh) malak (king) of Matzarayam (Matzarayam / Egypt), to yatzaa (go out / come out) out the banay (my son) of Yashar-Al (Israel) from Matzarayam (Matzarayam / Egypt). These are that Mashah (Moses) and Aharawan (Aaron).

28 It happened on the yawam (day) when Yahawah () dabar (word / matter) to Mashah (Moses) in the aratz (Earth/land) of Matzarayam (Egypt),

29 That Yahawah () dabar (word / matter) to Mashah (Moses), amar (spoke), “I am Yahawah (). Dabar (word / matter) to Paraih (Pharaoh) malak (king) of Matzarayam (Egypt) all that I dabar (word / matter) to you.”

30 Mashah (Moses) amar (spoke) panayam (face) Yahawah (), “Behold, I am of iral (uncircumcised) shapathayam (lips), and how shall Paraih (Pharaoh) shamai (hearken / hear) to me?”
