Ezekiel 29 — English–Hebrew Parallel

In the ishayaray (tenth) shanah (year), in the ishayaray (tenth) month, on the shanayam (two) day of the chadash (month), the dabar (word / matter) of Yahawah () came to me, amar (spoke),

“Ban (son) of adam (man), shawam (place / establish / appoint) your panayam (face) against Paraih (Pharaoh) malak (king) of Matzarayam (Matzarayam / Egypt), and nabaa (prophesy) against him and against all Matzarayam (Matzarayam / Egypt).

Dabar (word / matter) and amar (spoke), ‘Thus amar (spoke) the Adanay () Yahawah (): “Behold, I am against you, Paraih (Pharaoh) malak (king) of Matzarayam (Egypt), the gadawal (very great/important/mighty) thanayan (monster) that rabatz (lies) in the thawak (midst) of his yaar (rivers), that has amar (spoke), ‘My yaar (river) is my own, and I ishah (make) made it for myself.’

I will nathan (give) chachayayam (hooks) in your lachay (jaws), and I will make the dagah (fish) of your yaar (rivers) dabaq (stick) to your qashaqashath (scales); and I will ilah (go up / offer) you up out of the thawak (midst) of your yaar (rivers), with all the dagah (fish) of your yaar (rivers) which dabaq (stick) to your qashaqashath (scales).

I'll natash (cast) you forth into the madabar (wilderness), you and all the dagah (fish) of your yaar (rivers). You'll napal (fall / be cast down) on the panayam (face) shadah (field). You won't be asap (brought) together, nor qabatz (gathered). I nathan (give) given you for akalah (food) to the animals of the aratz (Earth/land) and to the iwap (flying) of the sky.

“‘“All the yashabay (inhabitants) of Matzarayam (Egypt) yadai (will) know that I am Yahawah (), because they have been a mashainah (staff) of qanah (reed) to the bayath (house) of Yashar-Al (Israel).

When they thapash (took) hold of you by your kap (hand), you ratzatz (broke), and baqai (tore) all their kathap (shoulders); and when they shain (leaned) on you, you shabar (broke), and paralyzed all of their thighs.”

“‘Therefore thus amar (spoke) the Adanay () Yahawah (): “Behold, I will bawaa (come) a charab (sword) on you, and will karath (cut) off adam (man) and animal from you.

The aratz (Earth/land) of Matzarayam (Egypt) shall be a shamamah (desolation) and a charabah (waste); and they shall yadai (know) that I am Yahawah (). “‘“Because he has amar (spoke), ‘The yaar (river) is mine, and I ishah (make) made it;’

Therefore, behold, I am against you, and against your yaar (rivers), and I will nathan (give) the aratz (Earth/land) of Matzarayam (Matzarayam / Egypt) an utter charabah (waste) and shamamah (desolation), from the Magadawal (tower) of Sawanah (Seveneh) even to the gabawal (border/boundary) of Kawash (Ethiopia).

No ragal (feet / foot) of adam (man) shall ibar (pass over/through) through it, nor ragal (feet / foot) of animal shall ibar (pass over/through) through it, neither shall it be yashab (inhabit/dwell) arabaiyam (forty) shanah (years).

I will nathan (give) the aratz (Earth/land) of Matzarayam (Matzarayam / Egypt) a shamamah (desolation) in the thawak (midst) of the aratzawath (countries) that are shamam (desolate); and her irayam (cities) thawak (midst) the irayam (cities) that are charab (laid) waste shall be a shamamah (desolation) arabaiyam (forty) shanah (years); and I will pawatz (scatter) the Matzarayam (Matzarayam / Egypt) among the gawayam (heathen), and will zarah (disperse) them through the aratzawath (countries).”

“‘For thus amar (spoke) the Adanay () Yahawah (): “At the qatz (end) of arabaiyam (forty) shanah (years) will I qabatz (gather) the Matzarayam (Egyptians) from the imayam (peoples) where they were pawatz (scattered);

And I will shawab (turn) back the shabawath (captivity) of Matzarayam (Matzarayam / Egypt), and will cause them to shawab (turn) into the aratz (Earth/land) of Patharawas (Pathros), into the aratz (Earth/land) of their makawarah (birth); and they shall be there a shapal (base) mamalakah (kingdom).

It shall be the shapal (base) of the mamalakawath (kingdoms); neither shall it any more nashaa (lift) itself up above the gawayam (heathen): and I will mait (diminish) them, that they shall no more radah (rule over / have dominion of / subdue) over the gawayam (heathen).

It shall be no more the mabatach (confidence) of the bayath (house) of Yashar-Al (Israel), zakar (remember) iwan (guilt/iniquity) to memory, when they panah (turn) to look achar (other) them: and they shall yadai (know) that I am the Adanay () Yahawah ().”’”

It came to pass in the shabai (seven) and isharayam (twenty) shanah (year), in the raashawan (first) month, in the achad (one) day of the chadash (month), the dabar (word / matter) of Yahawah () came to me, amar (spoke),

“Ban (son) of adam (man), Nabawakadanaatzar (Nebuchadnezzar) malak (king) of Babal (Babylon) ibad (servant) his chayal (wealth / substance / capability / valor) to ibad (servant) a gadawal (very great/important/mighty) ibadah (service) against Tzar (Tyre): every raash (head) was qarach (made) bald, and every kathap (shoulder) was worn; yet had he no shakar (wages), nor his chayal (wealth / substance / capability / valor), from Tzar (Tyre), for the ibadah (service) that he had ibad (servant) against it.

Therefore thus amar (spoke) the Adanay () Yahawah (): ‘Behold, I will nathan (give) the aratz (Earth/land) of Matzarayam (Egypt) to Nabawakadanaatzar (Nebuchadnezzar) malak (king) of Babal (Babylon); and he shall nashaa (lift) off her hamawan (multitude), and nashaa (lift) her shalal (spoil), and take her baz (prey); and it shall be the shakar (wages) for his chayal (wealth / substance / capability / valor).

I nathan (give) given him the aratz (Earth/land) of Matzarayam (Egypt) as his recompense for which he ibad (servant), because they ishah (make) for me,’ naam (declares prophetically) the Adanay () Yahawah ().

“In that yawam (day) will I tzamach (cause) a qaran (horn) to tzamach (bud) forth to the bayath (house) of Yashar-Al (Israel), and I will nathan (give) you the pathachawan (opening) of the pah (mouth) in their thawak (midst); and they shall yadai (know) that I am Yahawah ().”
