Ezekiel 37 — English–Hebrew Parallel

The yad (hand) of Yahawah () was on me, and he yatzaa (go out / come out) me out in the rawach (spirit / wind) of Yahawah (), and nawach (set) me down in the thawak (midst) of the baqaih (valley); and it malaa (was) full of itzamawath (bones).

He ibar (pass over/through) me to pass by them all around: and behold, there were very many in the panayam (face) baqaih (valley); and behold, they were very yabash (dry land).

He amar (spoke) to me, “ban (son) of adam (man), can these itzamawath (bones) chayah (live)?” I amar (spoke), “Adanay () Yahawah (), you yadai (know).”

Again he amar (spoke) to me, “nabaa (prophesy) over these itzamawath (bones), and amar (spoke) them, ‘you yabash (dry land) itzamawath (bones), shamai (hearken / hear) the dabar (word / matter) of Yahawah ().

Thus amar (spoke) the Adanay () Yahawah () to these itzamawath (bones): “Behold, I will cause rawach (spirit / wind) to bawaa (come) into you, and you shall chayah (live).

I will nathan (give) gadayam (sinews) on you, and will ilah (go up / offer) up bashar (flesh) on you, and qaram (cover) you with iwar (skin), and nathan (give) rawach (spirit / wind) in you, and you shall chayah (live); and you shall yadai (know) that I am Yahawah ().”’”

So I nabaa (prophesied) as I was tzawah (commanded): and as I nabaa (prophesied), there was a qawal (sound / voice), and behold, an raish (earthquake); and the itzamawath (bones) qarab (come close) together, itzam (bone) to its itzam (bone).

I raah (see / saw), and, behold, there were gadayam (sinews) on them, and bashar (flesh) ilah (go up / offer) up, and iwar (skin) qaram (covered) them mail (top/above); but there was no rawach (spirit / wind) in them.

Then he amar (spoke) to me, “nabaa (prophesy) to the rawach (spirit / wind), nabaa (prophesy), ban (son) of adam (man), and amar (spoke) the rawach (spirit / wind), ‘Thus amar (spoke) the Adanay () Yahawah (): “bawaa (come) from the arabai (four) rawachawath (winds), rawach (spirit / wind), and breathe on these harag (kill), that they may chayah (live).”’”

So I nabaa (prophesied) as he tzawah (commanded) me, and the rawach (spirit / wind) bawaa (bring) into them, and they chayah (lived), and imad (stood) up on their ragal (feet / foot), an maad (exceedingly) gadawal (very great/important/mighty) chayal (wealth / substance / capability / valor).

Then he amar (said) to me, “ban (son) of adam (man), these itzamawath (bones) are the whole bayath (house) of Yashar-Al (Israel): behold, they amar (said), ‘Our itzamawath (bones) are yabash (dry land) up, and our thaqawah (hope) is abad (destroy / perish); we are clean gazar (cut) off.’

Therefore nabaa (prophesy), and amar (spoke) them, ‘Thus amar (spoke) the Adanay () Yahawah (): “Behold, I will pathach (open) your qabar (grave / tomb / sepulcher), and ilah (go up / offer) you to come up out of your qabar (grave / tomb / sepulcher), my people; and I will bawaa (come) you into the adamah (land) of Yashar-Al (Israel).

You shall yadai (know) that I am Yahawah (), when I pathach (have) opened your qabar (grave / tomb / sepulcher), and ilah (go up / offer) you to come up out of your qabar (grave / tomb / sepulcher), my im (nation / people).

I will nathan (give) my rawach (spirit / wind) in you, and you shall chayah (live), and I will yanach (place) you in your own adamah (land): and you shall yadai (know) that I, Yahawah (), have dabar (word / matter) it and ishah (make) it,” naam (declares prophetically) Yahawah ().’”

The dabar (word / matter) of Yahawah () came again to me, amar (spoke),

“You, ban (son) of adam (man), laqach (take / seize) achad (one) itz (stick), and kathab (write) on it, ‘For Yahawadah (Yahawadah / Judah), and for the banay (my son) of Yashar-Al (Israel) his chabar (companions):’ then laqach (take / seize) another itz (stick), and kathab (write) on it, ‘For Yawasap (Joseph), the itz (stick) of Aparayam (Ephraim), and for all the bayath (house) of Yashar-Al (Israel) his chabar (companions):’

And qarab (come close) them for you achad (one) to another into achad (one) itz (stick), that they may become achad (one) in your yad (hand).

“When the banay (my son) of your im (nation / people) shall amar (said) to you, amar (said), ‘Will you not show us what you mean by these?’

Dabar (word / matter) them, ‘Thus dabar (word / matter) the Adanay () Yahawah (): “Behold, I will laqach (take / seize) the itz (stick) of Yawasap (Joseph), which is in the yad (hand) of Aparayam (Ephraim), and the shabatay (tribes) of Yashar-Al (Israel) his chabar (companions); and I will nathan (give) them with it, even with the itz (stick) of Yahawadah (Judah), and ishah (make) them achad (one) itz (stick), and they shall be achad (one) in my yad (hand).

The itzayam (sticks) whereon you kathab (write) shall be in your yad (hand) before their iyan (eye).”’

Dabar (word / matter) to them, ‘Thus amar (spoke) the Adanay () Yahawah (): “Behold, I will laqach (take / seize) the banay (children) of Yashar-Al (Israel) from bayan (between) the gawayam (nations), where they are halak (move), and will qabatz (gather) them on sabayab (surrounding) side, and bawaa (come) them into their own adamah (land):

And I will ishah (make) them achad (one) gaway (heathen / nation) in the aratz (Earth/land), on the haray (mountains) of Yashar-Al (Israel); and achad (one) malak (king) shall be malak (king) to them iwad (more/again); and they shall be no more shanayam (two) gawayam (heathen), neither shall they be chatzah (divided) into shanayam (two) mamalakawath (kingdoms) any more at all;

Neither shall they tamaa (defile) themselves any more with their galawal (idols), nor with their shaqawatz (detestable) things, nor with any of their pashai (transgressions); but I will yashai (salvation) them out of all their mawashab (dwelling) places, in which they have chataa (sinned), and will tahar (cleanse) them: so shall they be my im (nation / people), and I will be their Alahayam ().

“‘“My ibad (servant) Dawad (David) shall be malak (king) over them; and they all shall have achad (one) raih (shepherd): they shall also yalak (walk) in my mashapat (ordinances), and shamar (keep/guard) my chaqah (statutes), and ishah (make) them.

They shall yashab (inhabit/dwell) in the aratz (Earth/land) that I nathan (give) given to Yaiqab (Jacob - Patriarch) my ibad (servant), in which your ab (father) lived; and they shall yashab (inhabit/dwell) therein, they, and their banay (my son), and their banay (my son) banay (my son), iwalam (eternity): and Dawad (David) my ibad (servant) shall be their nashayaa (prince) for iwalam (eternity).

Moreover I will karath (cut) a barayath (covenant) of shalawam (peace / safety) with them; it shall be an iwalam (eternity) barayath (covenant) with them; and I will nathan (give) them, and rabah (multiply) them, and will nathan (give) my maqadash (sanctuary) in their thawak (midst) forevermore.

My mashakan (tent) also shall be with them; and I will be their Alahayam (), and they shall be my im (nation / people).

The gawayam (nations) shall yadai (know) that I am Yahawah () who qadash (set apart / make holy) Yashar-Al (Israel), when my maqadash (sanctuary) shall be in their thawak (midst) forevermore.”’”
