1 Then he shawab (turn) me back by the darak (way) of the chayatzawan (outer) shair (gate) of the maqadash (sanctuary), which panah (turn) toward the qadayam (east); and it was sagar (shut).
2 Yahawah () amar (spoke) to me, “This shair (gate) shall be sagar (shut); it shall not be pathach (opened), neither shall any ayash (man / husband) bawaa (come) in by it; for Yahawah (), the Alahayam () of Yashar-Al (Israel), bawaa (come) entered in by it; therefore it shall be sagar (shut).
3 As for the nashayaa (prince), he shall yashab (inhabit/dwell) therein as nashayaa (prince) to akal (eat) lacham (bread) panayam (face) Yahawah (); he shall bawaa (come) by the darak (way) of the awalam (porch) of the shair (gate), and shall yatzaa (go out / come out) out by the darak (way) of the same.”
4 Then he bawaa (come) me by the darak (way) of the tzapawan (north) shair (gate) panayam (face) the bayath (house); and I raah (see), and behold, the kabawad (glory) of Yahawah () malaa (filled) the bayath (house) of Yahawah (): and I napal (fall / be cast down) on my panayam (face).
5 Yahawah () amar (spoke) to me, “ban (son) of adam (man), shawam (place / establish / appoint) lab (heart), and raah (see) with your iyan (eye), and shamai (hearken / hear) with your azan (ear) all that I dabar (word / matter) you concerning all the chaqawath (ordinances) of the bayath (house) of Yahawah (), and all its thawarah (instruction); and shawam (place / establish / appoint) lab (heart) the mabawaa (entrance) of the bayath (house), with every exit of the maqadash (sanctuary).
6 You shall amar (spoke) the rebellious, even to the bayath (house) of Yashar-Al (Israel), ‘Thus amar (spoke) the Adanay () Yahawah (): “you bayath (house) of Yashar-Al (Israel), let it rab (suffice) you of all your thawaibah (abominations),
7 In that you bawaa (bring) brought in foreigners, iral (uncircumcised) in lab (heart) and iral (uncircumcised) in bashar (flesh), to be in my maqadash (sanctuary), to chalal (profane) it, even my bayath (house), when you qarab (come close) my lacham (bread), the chalab (fat) and the dam (blood), and they have parar (broken) my barayath (covenant), to add to all your thawaibah (abominations).
8 You have not performed the duty of my qadash (set apart / make holy) things; but you have shawam (place / establish / appoint) performers of my duty in my maqadash (sanctuary) for yourselves.”
9 Thus amar (spoke) the Adanay () Yahawah (), “No foreigner, iral (uncircumcised) in lab (heart) and iral (uncircumcised) in bashar (flesh), shall bawaa (come) into my maqadash (sanctuary), of any foreigners who are thawak (midst) the banay (children) of Yashar-Al (Israel).
10 “‘“But the Lawayay (Levites) who rachaq (went) far from me, when Yashar-Al (Israel) thaih (went) astray, who thaih (went) astray from me achar (other) their galawal (idols), they shall nashaa (lift) their iwan (guilt/iniquity).
11 Yet they shall be masharathayam (ministers) in my maqadash (sanctuary), having paqadah (oversight) at the shairay (gates) of the bayath (house), and sharath (ministering) in the bayath (house): they shall shachat (kill) the burnt ilah (offering) and the zabach (sacrifice) for the im (nation / people), and they shall imad (stand) panayam (face) them to sharath (minister) to them.
12 Because they sharath (ministered) to them panayam (face) their galawal (idols), and became a makashawal (stumbling) block of iwan (guilt/iniquity) to the bayath (house) of Yashar-Al (Israel); therefore have I nashaa (lift) up my yad (hand) against them,” naam (declares prophetically) the Adanay () Yahawah (), “and they shall nashaa (lift) their iwan (guilt/iniquity).
13 They shall not nagash (come) near to me, to execute the office of kahan (priest) to me, nor to nagash (come) near to any of my qadash (set apart / make holy) things, to the things that are most qadash (set apart / make holy); but they shall nashaa (lift) their kalamah (shame), and their thawaibah (abominations) which they ishah (make) committed.
14 Yet will I nathan (give) them performers of the duty of the bayath (house), for all its ibadah (service), and for all that shall be ishah (make) therein.
15 “‘“But the kahanayam (priests) the Lawayay (Levites), the banay (sons) of Tzadawaq (Zadok), who performed the duty of my maqadash (sanctuary) when the banay (children) of Yashar-Al (Israel) thaih (went) astray from me, they shall qarab (come close) near to me to sharath (minister) to me; and they shall imad (stand) panayam (face) me to qarab (come close) to me the chalab (fat) and the dam (blood),” naam (declares prophetically) the Adanay () Yahawah ():
16 “They shall bawaa (bring) into my maqadash (sanctuary), and they shall qarab (come close) near to my shalachan (table), to sharath (minister) to me, and they shall shamar (keep/guard) my instruction.
17 “‘“It shall be that, when they bawaa (bring) in at the shairay (gates) of the inner chatzar (court), they shall be labash (clothed) with pashathah (linen) bagaday (garments); and no tzamar (wool) shall ilah (go up / offer) on them, while they sharath (minister) in the shairay (gates) of the inner chatzar (court), and bayath (house).
18 They shall have pashathah (linen) paaray (tires) on their raash (head), and shall have pashathah (linen) breeches on their waists; they shall not clothe themselves with anything that causes yazai (sweat).
19 When they yatzaa (go out / come out) forth into the chayatzawan (outer) chatzar (court), even into the chayatzawan (outer) chatzar (court) to the im (nation / people), they shall pashat (put) off their bagadayam (garments) in which they sharath (minister), and yanach (lay) them in the qadash (set apart / make holy) rooms; and they shall labash (put) on other bagadayam (garments), that they not qadash (set apart / make holy) the im (nation / people) with their bagadayam (garments).
20 “‘“Neither shall they galach (shave) their raash (head), nor allow their parai (freegrowing locks) to shalach (send) long; they shall only cut off the hair of their raash (head).
21 Neither shall any of the kahan (priest) shathah (drinks) yayan (wine), when they bawaa (bring) into the inner chatzar (court).
22 Neither shall they laqach (take / seize) for their wives a alamanah (widow), nor her who is garash (put) away; but they shall laqach (take / seize) bathawalath (virgins) of the zarai (seed) of the bayath (house) of Yashar-Al (Israel), or a alamanah (widow) who is the widow of a kahan (priest).
23 They shall yarah (teach) my im (nation / people) the difference between the qadash (set apart / make holy) and the chal (common), and yadai (cause) them to discern between the tamaa (unclean) and the tahawar (clean).
24 “‘“In a rayab (controversy) they shall imad (stand) to shapat (judge / judgement); according to my shapat (judge / judgement) shall they shapat (judge / judgement) it: and they shall shamar (keep/guard) my thawarah (Torah / Instruction) and my chaqah (statutes) in all my mawaid (Feast/Holy Day) feasts; and they shall make my shabath (shabath / rest) qadash (set apart / make holy).
25 “‘“They shall bawaa (bring) in to no mawath (death) adam (person) to tamaa (defile) themselves; but for ab (father), or for am (mother), or for ban (son), or for banath (daughter), for ach (brother/kinsman), or for achawath (sister) who has had no ayash (man / husband), they may tamaa (defile) themselves.
26 Achar (other) he is taharah (cleansed), they shall sapar (book) to him shabai (seven) yamayam (days).
27 In the yawam (day) that he bawaa (come) into the qadash (set apart / make holy), into the inner chatzar (court), to sharath (minister) in the qadash (set apart / make holy), he shall qarab (come close) his chataah (sin) offering,” naam (declares prophetically) the Adanay () Yahawah ().
28 “‘They shall have an nachalah (inheritance): I am their nachalah (inheritance); and you shall nathan (give) them no achazah (possession) in Yashar-Al (Israel); I am their achazah (possession).
29 They shall akal (eat) the meal manachah (offering), and the chataah (sin) offering, and the asham (trespass) offering; and every charam (devoted) thing in Yashar-Al (Israel) shall be theirs.
30 The raashayath (beginning) of all the bakawar (first) fruits of every thing, and every tharawamah (offering) of everything, of all your tharawamah (offerings), shall be for the kahan (priest): you shall also nathan (give) to the kahanayam (priests) the raashayath (beginning) of your irayasah (dough), to cause a barakah (blessing) to nawach (rest) on your bayath (house).
31 The kahanayam (priests) shall not akal (eat) of anything that dies of nabalah (itself), or is tarapah (torn), whether it be iwap (flying) or animal.
