Ezekiel 7 — English–Hebrew Parallel

Moreover the dabar (word / matter) of Yahawah () came to me, amar (spoke),

“You, ban (son) of adam (man), thus amar (spoke) the Adanay () Yahawah () to the adamah (land) of Yashar-Al (Israel), ‘An qatz (end): the qatz (end) bawaa (come) come on the arabai (four) kanapawath (corners) of the aratz (Earth/land).

Now is the qatz (end) on you, and I will shalach (send) my ap (nostril / picture: bull snorting) on you, and will shapat (judge / judgement) you according to your darak (ways); and I will nathan (give) on you all your thawaibah (abominations).

My iyan (eye) shall not chawas (spare) you, neither will I chamal (have) pity; but I will nathan (give) your darak (ways) on you, and your thawaibah (abominations) shall be in the thawak (midst) of you: and you shall yadai (know) that I am Yahawah ().’

“Thus amar (spoke) the Adanay () Yahawah (): An rai (evil), ‘an only rai (evil); behold, it bawaa (come).

An qatz (end) bawaa (bring) come, the qatz (end) bawaa (bring) come; it qawatz (awakes) bawaa (bring) you; behold, it comes.

Your doom bawaa (bring) come to you, yashab (inhabit/dwell) of the aratz (Earth/land): the ith (time) bawaa (bring) come, the yawam (day) is qarawab (near), a day of mahawamah (tumult), and not of joyful shouting, on the harayam (mountains).

Now will I qarawab (shortly) shapak (pour) out my chamah (wrath) on you, and kalah (complete / finish) my ap (nostril / picture: bull snorting) against you, and will shapat (judge / judgement) you according to your darak (ways); and I will nathan (give) on you all your thawaibah (abominations).

My iyan (eye) shall not chawas (spare), neither will I chamal (have) pity: I will nathan (give) on you according to your darak (ways); and your thawaibah (abominations) shall be in the thawak (midst) of you; and you shall yadai (know) that I, Yahawah (), do nakah (strike).

“‘Behold, the yawam (day), behold, it bawaa (bring): your doom is yatzaa (go out / come out) forth; the matah (staff / rod / tribe) has tzawatz (blossomed), zadawan (pride) has parach (budded).

Chamas (violence) has qawam (rise up) up into a matah (staff / rod / tribe) of rashai (wickedness). None of them shall remain, nor of their hamawan (multitude), nor of their wealth. There shall be nothing of value among them.

The ith (time) bawaa (bring) come, the yawam (day) nagai (draws) near: don't let the qanah (buyer) shamach (rejoice), nor the seller abal (mourn); for charawan (wrath) is on all its hamawan (multitude).

For the seller shall not shawab (turn) to that which is mamakar (sold), although they be yet chay (life): for the chazawan (vision) is touching the whole hamawan (multitude) of it, none shall shawab (turn); neither shall any chazaq (strengthen) himself in the iwan (guilt/iniquity) of his chay (life).

They have thaqai (blow / sound alarm) the thaqawai (trumpet), and have kawan (made) all ready; but none halak (move) to the malachamah (battle); for my charawan (wrath) is on all its hamawan (multitude).

“‘The charab (sword) is outside, and the dabar (word / matter) and the raib (famine) bayath (house): he who is in the shadah (field) shall mawath (death) with the charab (sword): and he who is in the iyar (city), raib (famine) and dabar (word / matter) shall akal (eat) him.

But those of those who palat (escape) shall palayat (escape), and shall be on the harayam (mountains) like yawanay (doves) of the gaayawath (valleys), all of them moaning, ayash (man / husband) one in his iwan (guilt/iniquity).

All yadayam (hands) shall be rapah (feeble), and all barakayam (knees) shall be yalak (weak) as mayam (Waters).

They shall also clothe themselves with sackcloth, and palatzawath (horror) shall kasah (cover) them; and bawashah (shame) shall be on all panayam (face), and qarachah (baldness) on all their raash (head).

They shall shalak (cast) their kasap (silver) in the chawatzawath (streets), and their zahab (gold) shall be as an nadah (unclean) thing; their kasap (silver) and their zahab (gold) shall not be yakal (able) to natzal (deliver) them in the yawam (day) of the ibarah (wrath) of Yahawah (): they shall not shabai (satisfy) their napash (soul), neither malaa (fill) their maih (bowels); because it has been the makashawal (stumbling) block of their iwan (guilt/iniquity).

As for the beauty of his iday (ornament / adornment), he shawam (place / establish / appoint) it in gaawan (majesty); but they ishah (make) the tzalamay (images) of their thawaibah (abominations) and their shaqawatz (detestable) things therein: therefore nathan (give) I made it to them as an nadah (unclean) thing.

I will nathan (give) it into the yad (hand) of the strangers for a baz (prey), and to the rashai (wicked) of the aratz (Earth/land) for a shalal (spoil); and they shall chalal (profane) it.

My panayam (face) will I sabab (turn) also from them, and they shall chalal (profane) my tzapan (secret) place; and parayatzayam (robbers) shall bawaa (bring) into it, and chalal (profane) it.

“‘Ishah (make) the rathawaq (chain); for the aratz (Earth/land) is malaa (full) of bloody mashapat (crimes), and the iyar (city) is malaa (full) of chamas (violence).

Therefore I will bawaa (bring) the rai (worst) of the gawayam (heathen), and they shall yarash (possess) their bayath (house): I will also make the gaawan (pride) of the iz (strong) to shabath (shabath / rest); and their qadash (set apart / make holy) places shall be chalal (profaned).

Qapadah (destruction) bawaa (bring); and they shall baqash (seek) shalawam (peace / safety), and there shall be none.

Hawah (calamity / destruction) shall bawaa (bring) on hawah (calamity / destruction), and shamawaih (rumor) shall be on shamawaih (rumor); and they shall baqash (seek) a chazawan (vision) of the nabayaa (prophet/prophecy); but the thawarah (Torah / Instruction) shall abad (destroy / perish) from the kahan (priest), and itzah (counsel) from the zaqanayam (elders).

The malak (king) shall abal (mourn), and the nashayaa (prince) shall be labash (clothed) with shamamah (desolation), and the yaday (hands) of the im (nation / people) of the aratz (Earth/land) shall be bahal (troubled): I will ishah (make) to them after their darak (way), and according to their own mashapat (judgments) will I shapat (judge / judgement) them; and they shall yadai (know) that I am Yahawah ().’”
