1 Abaraham (Abraham - Patriarch) traveled from there toward the aratz (Earth/land) of the nagab (south), and lived between Qadash (set apart / make holy) and Shawar (Shur). He lived as a foreigner in Garar (Gerar).
2 Abaraham (Abraham - Patriarch) amar (said) al (toward) Sharah (Sarah) his ayashah (woman / wife), “She is my achawath (sister).” Abayamalak (Abimelech) malak (king) of Garar (Gerar) shalach (send), and laqach (take / seize) Sharah (Sarah).
3 But Alahayam () bawaa (come) to Abayamalak (Abimelech) in a chalawam (dream) of the layal (night), and amar (spoke) to him, “Behold, you are a mawath (death) man, because of the ayashah (woman / wife) whom you have laqach (take / seize). For she is a bail (man's) wife.”
4 Now Abayamalak (Abimelech) had not qarab (come close) near her. He amar (spoke), “Adanay (), will you harag (kill) even a tzadayaq (righteous) gaway (heathen / nation)?
5 Didn't he amar (said) me, ‘She is my achawath (sister)’? She, even she herself, amar (said), ‘He is my ach (brother/kinsman).’ In the tham (integrity) of my labab (heart) and the innocence of my kap (hands) ishah (make) I done this.”
6 Alahayam () amar (spoke) to him in the chalawam (dream), “Yes, I yadai (know) that in the tham (integrity) of your labab (heart) you ishah (make) done this, and I also withheld you from chataa (sinning) against me. Therefore I didn't allow you to nagai (touch) her.
7 Now therefore, shawab (turn) the ayash (man / husband) ayashah (woman / wife). For he is a nabayaa (prophet/prophecy), and he will palal (pray) for you, and you will chayah (live). If you don't shawab (turn) her, yadai (know) for sure that you will mawath (death), you, and all who are yours.”
8 Abayamalak (Abimelech) shakam (rose) early in the baqar (morning), and qaraa (called) all his ibad (servant), and dabar (word / matter) all these things in their azan (ear). The anashayam (men) were very scared.
9 Then Abayamalak (Abimelech) qaraa (called) Abaraham (Abraham - Patriarch), and amar (said) to him, “What ishah (make) you done to us? How have I chataa (sinned) against you, that you bawaa (bring) brought on me and on my mamalakah (kingdom) a gadawal (very great/important/mighty) chataah (sin)? You ishah (make) done maishayam (deeds) to me that ought not to be ishah (make)!”
10 Abayamalak (Abimelech) amar (said) to Abaraham (Abraham - Patriarch), “mah (what) did you see, that you ishah (make) done this thing?”
11 Abaraham (Abraham) amar (spoke), “Because I amar (spoke), ‘raq (concept: what comes out / spittle) the yaraah (fear) of Alahayam () is not in this maqawam (place). They will harag (kill) me for my ayashah (woman / wife) dabar (word / matter).’
12 Besides, she is amanah (indeed) my achawath (sister), the banath (daughter) of my ab (father), but not the banath (daughter) of my am (mother); and she became my ayashah (woman / wife).
13 It happened, when Alahayam () thaih (caused) me to wander from my ab (father) bayath (house), that I amar (spoke) to her, ‘This is your chasad (grace) which you shall show to me. Everywhere that we bawaa (come), amar (spoke) of me, “He is my ach (brother/kinsman).”’”
14 Abayamalak (Abimelech) laqach (take / seize) tzaan (sheep) and cattle, male ibadayam (servants) and female shapachath (servants), and nathan (give) them to Abaraham (Abraham - Patriarch), and shawab (turn) Sharah (Sarah), his ayashah (woman / wife), to him.
15 Abayamalak (Abimelech) amar (said), “Behold, my aratz (Earth/land) is panayam (face) you. Yashab (inhabit/dwell) where it pleases you.”
16 To Sharah (Sarah) he amar (said), “Behold, I nathan (give) given your ach (brother/kinsman) a alap (thousand) pieces of kasap (silver). Behold, it is for you a kasawath (covering) of the iyanayam (eyes) to all that are with you. In front of all you are vindicated.”
17 Abaraham (Abraham) palal (prayed) to Alahayam (). Alahayam () rapaa (healed) Abayamalak (Abimelech), and his ayashah (woman / wife), and his female amah (servants), and they yalad (birth / begot) children.
18 For Yahawah () had itzar (closed) up tight all the racham (womb) of the bayath (house) of Abayamalak (Abimelech), dabar (word / matter) of Sharah (Sarah), Abaraham (Abraham's) ayashah (woman / wife).
