Genesis 5 — English–Hebrew Parallel

1 Zah (this / that / these) is the sapar (book / scribed document) of the thawaladath (generations) of Adam (Adam). In the yawam (day) that Alahayam () baraa (created) adam (man), he ishah (make) him in Alahayam () damawath (likeness).

4 The yamay (days) of Adam (Adam) achar (other) he became the yalad (birth / begot) of Shath (Seth) were shamanah (eight) maah (hundred) shanah (years), and he became the yalad (birth / begot) of banayam (sons) and banawath (daughters).

5 All the yamay (days) that Adam (Adam) chayay (life) were thashai (nine) maah (hundred) shalawashayam (thirty) shanah (years), then he mawath (death).

6 Shath (Seth) chayah (lived) one maah (hundred) chamash (five) shanayam (two), and became the yalad (birth / begot) of Anawash (Enosh).

7 Shath (Seth) chayah (lived) achar (other) he became the yalad (birth / begot) of Anawash (Enosh) shamanah (eight) maah (hundred) shabai (seven) shanayam (two), and became the yalad (birth / begot) of banayam (sons) and banawath (daughters).

8 All the yamay (days) of Shath (Seth) were thashai (nine) maah (hundred) ishar (-teen) shanah (years), then he mawath (death).

9 Anawash (Enosh) chayah (lived) thashaiyam (ninety) shanah (years), and became the yalad (birth / begot) of Qayanan (Kenan).

10 Anawash (Enosh) chayah (lived) achar (other) he became the yalad (birth / begot) of Qayanan (Kenan), shamanah (eight) maah (hundred) fifteen shanah (years), and became the yalad (birth / begot) of banayam (sons) and banawath (daughters).

11 All the yamay (days) of Anawash (Enosh) were thashai (nine) maah (hundred) chamash (five) shanayam (two), then he mawath (death).

12 Qayanan (Kenan) chayah (lived) shabaiyam (seventy) shanah (years), and became the yalad (birth / begot) of Mahalalaal (Mahalalel).

13 Qayanan (Kenan) chayah (lived) achar (other) he became the yalad (birth / begot) of Mahalalaal (Mahalalel) shamanah (eight) maah (hundred) arabaiyam (forty) shanah (years), and became the yalad (birth / begot) of banayam (sons) and banawath (daughters)

14 And all the yamay (days) of Qayanan (Kenan) were thashai (nine) maah (hundred) ishar (ten) shanayam (two), then he mawath (death).

15 Mahalalaal (Mahalalel) chayah (lived) shashayam (sixty)- chamash (five) shanayam (two), and became the yalad (birth / begot) of Yarad (Jared).

16 Mahalalaal (Mahalalel) chayah (lived) achar (other) he became the yalad (birth / begot) of Yarad (Jared) shamanah (eight) maah (hundred) shalawashayam (thirty) shanah (years), and became the yalad (birth / begot) of banayam (sons) and banawath (daughters).

17 All the yamay (days) of Mahalalaal (Mahalalel) were shamanah (eight) maah (hundred) thashaiyam (ninety)- chamash (five) shanah (years), then he mawath (death).

18 Yarad (Jared) chayah (lived) one maah (hundred) shashayam (sixty) shanayam (two) shanah (years), and became the yalad (birth / begot) of Chanawak (Chanawak / Enoch).

19 Yarad (Jared) chayah (lived) achar (other) he became the yalad (birth / begot) of Chanawak (Chanawak / Enoch) shamanah (eight) maah (hundred) shanah (years), and became the yalad (birth / begot) of banayam (sons) and banawath (daughters).

20 All the yamay (days) of Yarad (Jared) were thashai (nine) maah (hundred) shashayam (sixty) shanayam (two) shanah (years), then he mawath (death).

21 Chanawak (Chanawak / Enoch) chayah (lived) shashayam (sixty) chamash (five) shanah (years), and became the yalad (birth / begot) of Mathawashalach (Mathawashalach / Methuselah).

22 Chanawak (Enoch) halak (move) with Alahayam () achar (other) he became the yalad (birth / begot) of Mathawashalach (Methuselah) shalawash (three) maah (hundred) shanah (years), and became the yalad (birth / begot) of banayam (sons) and banawath (daughters).

23 All the yamay (days) of Chanawak (Chanawak / Enoch) were shalawash (three) maah (hundred) shashayam (sixty) chamash (five) shanah (years).

31 All the yamay (days) of Lamak (Lamech) were shabai (seven) maah (hundred) shabaiyam (seventy) shabai (seven) shanah (years), then he mawath (death).

32 Nach (Nach / Noah) was chamash (five) maah (hundred) shanah (years) ban (son), and Nach (Nach / Noah) became the yalad (birth / begot) of Sham (name), Cham (Ham), and Yapath (Japheth).
