The dabar (word / matter) which came to Yaramayah (Jeremiah) from Yahawah (), amar (spoke),
“Qawam (rise up), and yarad (go) down to the yatzar (potter's) bayath (house), and there I will shamai (hearken / hear) you to hear my dabar (word / matter).”
Then I yarad (went) down to the yatzar (potter's) bayath (house), and hanah (Behold), he was ishah (make) a malaakah (work) on the abanayam (wheels).
When the kalay (vessel) that he ishah (make) of the chamar (clay) was shachath (marred) in the yad (hand) of the yatzar (potter), he ishah (make) it again achar (other) kalay (vessel), as seemed yashar (upright) to the yatzar (potter) to ishah (make) it.
Then the dabar (word / matter) of Yahawah () came to me, amar (spoke),
“Bayath (house) of Yashar-Al (Israel), can't I ishah (make) with you as this yatzar (potter)?” Naam (declares prophetically) Yahawah (). “Behold, as the chamar (clay) in the yatzar (potter's) yad (hand), so are you in my yad (hand), bayath (house) of Yashar-Al (Israel).
At what ragai (in an instance) I shall dabar (word / matter) concerning a gaway (heathen / nation), and concerning a mamalakah (kingdom), to nathash (pluck) up and to nathatz (break) down and to abad (destroy / perish) it;
If that gaway (heathen / nation), concerning which I have dabar (word / matter), shawab (turn) from their rai (evil), I will nacham (turn away / repent) of the rai (evil) that I chashab (thought) to ishah (make) to them.
At what ragai (in an instance) I shall dabar (word / matter) concerning a gaway (heathen / nation), and concerning a mamalakah (kingdom), to banah (build) and to natai (plant) it;
If they ishah (make) that which is rai (evil) in my iyan (eye), that they not shamai (hearken / hear) my qawal (sound / voice), then I will nacham (turn away / repent) of the tawab (good / proper function), with which I amar (said) I would yatab (benefit) them.
“Now therefore, amar (spoke) to the ayash (man / husband) of Yahawadah (Judah), and to the yawashabay (inhabitants) of Yarawashalam (Jerusalem), amar (spoke), ‘Thus amar (spoke) Yahawah (): “Behold, I yatzar (frame) rai (evil) against you, and chashab (devise) a machashabah (device) against you: shawab (turn back / repent) you now everyone from his rai (evil) darak (way), and yatab (amend) your darak (ways) and your mailal (doings).”’
But they amar (said), ‘It is in vain; for we will yalak (walk) achar (other) our own machashabah (devices), and we will ishah (make) everyone after the stubbornness of his rai (evil) lab (heart).’”
Therefore thus amar (spoke) Yahawah (): “shaal (ask) now among the gawayam (nations), ‘who has shamai (hearken / hear) such things;’ the bathawalah (virgin) of Yashar-Al (Israel) ishah (make) done a very shairawarah (horrible) thing.
Shall the shalag (snow) of Labanawan (Lebanon) izab (fail) from the tzawar (rock) of the shadah (field)? Shall the qar (cold) mayam (Waters) that nazal (flow) down from afar be dried up?
For my im (nation / people) have shakach (forgotten) me, they have qatar (burned) incense to shawaa (vanity) Alahayam (); and they have been made to stumble in their darak (ways), in the iwalam (forever) shabayalay (paths), to yalak (walk) in byways, in a darak (way) not built up;
To shawam (place / establish / appoint) their aratz (Earth/land) an shamah (astonishment), and a iwalam (eternity) sharawaqah (hissing); everyone who passes thereby shall be shamam (astonished), and nawad (shake) his raash (head).
I will pawatz (scatter) them as with an qadayam (east) rawach (spirit / wind) panayam (face) the ayab (enemy); I will show them the irap (neck), and not the panayam (face), in the yawam (day) of their ayad (calamity).
Then they amar (said), “yalak (come), and let us chashab (devise) machashabawath (devices) against Yaramayah (Jeremiah); for the thawarah (Torah / Instruction) shall not abad (destroy / perish) from the kahan (priest), nor itzah (counsel) from the chakam (wise), nor the dabar (word / matter) from the nabayaa (prophet/prophecy). Yalak (come), and let us nakah (strike) him with the lashawan (tongue / language), and let us not qashab (give) heed to any of his dabar (word / matter).”
Qashab (give) heed to me, Yahawah (), and shamai (hearken / hear) to the qawal (sound / voice) of those who contend with me.
Shall rai (evil) be shalam (recompensed) for tawab (good / proper function)? For they have karah (dug) a shawachah (pit) for my napash (soul). Zakar (remember) how I imad (stood) panayam (face) you to dabar (word / matter) tawab (good / proper function) for them, to shawab (turn) away your chamah (wrath) from them.
Therefore nathan (give) up their ban (son) to the raib (famine), and give them over to the yad (hand) of the charab (sword); and let their wives become childless, and alamanawath (widows); and let their ban (son) be slain of mawath (death), and their bachawar (young) men nakah (struck) of the charab (sword) in malachamah (battle).
Let a zaiq (cry) be shamai (hearken / hear) from their bayath (house), when you shall bawaa (bring) a gadawad (troop) pathaawam (suddenly) on them; for they have karah (dug) a shayachah (pit) to lakad (take) me, and taman (hid) pachayam (snares) for my ragal (feet / foot).
Yet, Yahawah (), you yadai (know) all their itzah (counsel) against me to kill me; don't kapar (forgive) their iwan (guilt/iniquity), neither machah (blot) out their chataah (sin) from your panayam (face); but let them be kashal (stumble / stagger) panayam (face) you; ishah (make) you with them in the ith (time) of your ap (nostril / picture: bull snorting).
