Jeremiah 30 — English–Hebrew Parallel

The dabar (word / matter) that came to Yaramayah (Jeremiah) from Yahawah (), amar (spoke),

“Thus amar (spoke) Yahawah (), the Alahayam () of Yashar-Al (Israel), amar (spoke), ‘kathab (write) all the dabarayam (words) that I have dabar (word / matter) to you in a sapar (book / scribed document).

For, behold, the yamayam (days) bawaa (come),’ naam (declares prophetically) Yahawah (), ‘that I will shawab (turn back / repent) again the shabawath (captivity) of my im (nation / people) Yashar-Al (Israel) and Yahawadah (Judah), amar (spoke) Yahawah (); and,’ ‘I will cause them to shawab (turn back / repent) to the aratz (Earth/land) that I nathan (give) to their ab (father), and they shall yarash (possess) it.’”

These are the dabarayam (words) that Yahawah () dabar (word / matter) concerning Yashar-Al (Israel) and concerning Yahawadah (Judah).

For thus amar (spoke) Yahawah (): “We have shamai (hearken / hear) a qawal (sound / voice) of charadah (trembling), of pachad (fear / dread), and not of shalawam (peace / safety).

Shaal (ask) now, and raah (see / saw) whether a zakar (remember) does yalad (birth / begot) with child: why do I raah (see / saw) every gabar (man) with his yad (hand) on his waist, as a yalad (birth / begot) in travail, and all panayam (face) are hapak (turned) into paleness?

Haway (Alas/Woe!)! For that yawam (day) is gadawal (very great/important/mighty), so that none is like it: it is even the ith (time) of Yaiqab (Jacob - Patriarch) tzarah (trouble); but he shall be yashai (salvation) out of it.

It shall come to pass in that yawam (day), naam (declares prophetically) Yahawah () of tzabaawath (armies), that I will shabar (break) his il (over) from off your tzawaar (neck), and will nathaq (burst) your mawasar (bonds); and strangers shall no more ibad (servant) him their bondservant;

But they shall ibad (servant) Yahawah () their Alahayam (), and Dawad (David) their malak (king), whom I will qawam (rise up) up to them.

Therefore don't you be yaraa (fear / be afraid), O Yaiqab (Jacob) my ibad (servant), naam (declares prophetically) Yahawah (); neither be chathath (dismayed), Yashar-Al (Israel): for, behold, I will yashai (salvation) you from rachawaq (afar), and your zarai (seed) from the aratz (Earth/land) of their shabay (captivity); and Yaiqab (Jacob) shall shawab (turn back / repent), and shall be shaqat (quiet) and at shaan (ease), and none shall make him charad (afraid).

For I am with you, naam (declares prophetically) Yahawah (), to yashai (salvation) you: for I will ishah (make) a kalah (complete / finish) end of all the gawayam (nations) where I have pawatz (scattered) you, but I will not ishah (make) a kalah (complete / finish) end of you; but I will yasar (correct) you in mashapat (measure), and will in no naqah (clean/innocent) leave you naqah (clean/innocent).”

For thus amar (spoke) Yahawah (), “Your shabar (hurt) is anash (incurable), and your makah (wound) chalah (afflict).

There is none to plead your dayan (judge), that you may be mazawar (bound) up: you have no thailah (healing) rapaawath (medicines).

All your lovers have shakach (forgotten) you; they don't darash (seek) you: for I have wounded you with the makah (wound) of an ayab (enemy), with the mawasar (chastisement) of a akazaray (cruel) one, for the greatness of your iwan (guilt/iniquity), because your chataah (sin) were itzam (increased).

Why do you zaiq (cry) for your shabar (hurt)? Your makaab (pain) is anash (incurable): for the greatness of your iwan (guilt/iniquity), because your chataah (sin) were itzam (increased), I ishah (make) done these things to you.

Therefore akal (eat) those who devour you shall be akal (eat); and all your tzar (oppressor / distressor), everyone of them, shall yalak (go) into shabay (captivity); and those who despoil you shall be a shaas (spoil), and all who bazaz (prey) on you will I nathan (give) for a baz (prey).

For I will ilah (go up / offer) arawakah (health) to you, and I will rapaa (heal) you of your makah (wounds),” naam (declares prophetically) Yahawah (); “because they have qaraa (called) you an nadach (outcast), saying, ‘It is Tzayawan (Zion), whom no man darash (seeks) after.’”

Thus amar (spoke) Yahawah (): “Behold, I will shawab (turn back / repent) again the shabawath (captivity) of Yaiqab (Jacob's) ahalay (tents), and racham (show mercy / love) compassion on his mashakan (dwelling) places; and the iyar (city) shall be banah (build) on its own hill, and the aramawan (palace) shall be yashab (inhabit/dwell) in its own mashapat (way).

Out of them shall yatzaa (go out / come out) thanksgiving and the qawal (sound / voice) of those who shachaq (make) merry: and I will rabah (multiply) them, and they shall not be mait (few); I will also kabad (glorify) them, and they shall not be tzair (small).

Their ban (son) also shall be as qadam (before), and their idah (congregation) shall be kawan (established) panayam (face) me; and I will paqad (visit) all who lachatz (oppress) them.

Their adayar (prince) shall be of themselves, and their mashal (rule/have dominion) shall yatzaa (go out / come out) from their qarab (among / near); and I will cause him to qarab (come close) near, and he shall nagash (approach) to me: for who is he who has had boldness to nagash (approach) to me?” Naam (declares prophetically) Yahawah ().

“You shall be my im (nation / people), and I will be your Alahayam ().

Behold, the sair (storm) of Yahawah (), his chamah (wrath), yatzaa (go out / come out) gone forth, a sweeping sair (storm): it shall burst on the raash (head) of the rashai (wicked).

The charawan (fierce) ap (nostril / picture: bull snorting) of Yahawah () will not shawab (turn back / repent), until he ishah (make) executed, and until he has qawam (rise up) the intentions of his lab (heart). In the acharayath (latter) yamayam (days) you will bayan (between) it.”
